Seal Rocks RV Cove, Seal Rock, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We absolutely loved this campground. There are 34 sites, with some tent sites that are separate. We had a FHU site that was a pull thru, we parked in reverse in site 9 so we would have a perfect view of the ocean. We saw whales most everyday, and could hear the sea birds, it was awesome. The park employees were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this park. There are no amenities like laundry room, playgrounds, pool etc. but this park is all about its natural setting and the ocean views. There is a nice walkway to the beach, you do have to cross the road but is very easy. And once you get to the beach the tide pools are amazing. We were here a month and felt like we only scraped the surface of things to do. If you love the ocean and don't need things like a pool, this is the place for you! We camped at Seal Rocks RV Cove in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Corners RV Park and Campground , Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

$37.80 with a Good Sam Discount I really liked this park when we pulled in, it has a very clean appearance and I would have rated it really good, but when leaving it is a nightmare and if I could have given it a minus score I would have. The road is entirely too narrow to pull out and makes the turn necessary to leave. It took us a hour of backing and maneuvering to get out of this park. I think it would have taken us much longer if a resident hadn't came out and helped. The resident says everyone has the same problems. It makes matters worse because cars are parked out in the lanes because there is no room to park their car by their rig. So be forewarned if you have a very long rig run from this place. We camped at Country Corners RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cape Kiwanda RV Resort, Pacific City, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Paid $695 for 1 month (June) which included elec and taxes. Let me start off by saying we absolutely loved this park. My husband didn't want to leave after our month stay. It was everything they said it was plus a whole lot more. We were in site 10, which was closer to the front of the park which made it nice getting to the beach. We had a pull thru with 50 amp. Their WiFi was excellent and Cable was also good and nice shade. They have cute little cabins to rent. The store and office were the best of any park I have ever been. They had everything including an indoor pool. I am glad we were not in the back of the park around the playground, love hearing children play but not that much. The black bunnies had a home on our site and it was cute seeing all the children trying to feed them. Cape Kiwanda beach is spectacular, we had some great walks. The beach got crowded each weekend but everyone was very respectful and not rowdy. We were fortunate to be there for the yearly Dory boat blessing. The Dory boats are amazing to watch coming in and going out. So many things to do in the area. We would definitely go back to this resort. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of eating options across the street - Doryland Pizza was excellent. We loved Cape Meares lighthouse, Nestucca, Whalen Island, Tillamook Creamery Visitors Center, lots of great hiking areas. These are just a few of the day outings we took during our stay. The grocery store in Pacific City is horrible. Go to Lincoln City or Tillamook. Best restaurant was Puerto Vallarta Mexican in Lincoln City.

Shoreline RV Park & Campground, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is horrible. I advise anyone to stay away from this place. I knew I made a mistake when signing in at the office, there are no rules, you know what that means, and it was terrible. If you want a park where people are up yelling playing loud music until 2:00 in the morning then this park is just right for you. When I called to confirm my reservation on our way there the manager answered the phone and said he couldn't talk because the police were there, I should have been forewarned. When we got into the park it was evident no one stayed here but people living here and they are all around the edge of the property. It was obvious the management did as little as possible in this run down shoddy campground. We decided to stick it out because it was in a absolutely beautiful location right on the beach next to the lighthouse, after all how bad could it be? Well we found out it got even worse, my husbands bike was stolen. The police said there were gangs of homeless drug addicts living in the woods nearby and they would be back for my bike. My husbands security lock was cut and mine was on the back of our 5th wheel. We brought my bike inside our trailer along with our satellite system after that. They did come back and try to steal an old ladder we had under our fiver. The managers said it was probably someone in the park. So glad to get away from that place. So be forewarned. We camped at Shoreline RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Gate RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We really loved this RV park, it had 120 terraced sites that were roomy with lovely bushes and trees separating each site. The WiFi and Cable (which even had HBO) were terrific. All the utilities were placed properly, each site also had a table, the sites were concrete. The owners took immaculate care of the park and were very helpful with our side trips we took. A must do is Lassen Volcanic National Park, Shasta Lake and Dam, And Whiskey Town. Redding has everything you would need in a very compact area. You can't go wrong with this park. Price reflects a weekly discount. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jackson Rancheria RV Park, Jackson, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very neat and clean campground with wonderful concrete sites that are wide with a nice area of grass between the sites with a picnic table. If you get a players card from the casino they will discount your daily stay by $7. You will also receive coupons for $5 off any of the restaurants in the casino. The buffet is $10.95 and very good. The park was loud every day we were there seems to be groups of people that come together, so there was a lot of yelling outside everyday, but they quieted down by 10 every night. That is the only bad thing about this park. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills from the campground plus a nice walking path around the park. Very nice pool, putting green, bocce ball, and a dog area. We camped at Jackson Rancheria RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Casa De Fruta RV Orchard Resort, Hollister, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was the most unusual RV Park we have ever visited. There were 3 restaurants, pool, train, merry go round, candy shop, and roaming peacocks. I really liked this park and would return again. Great WiFi and Cable. Very quiet at night. There was some highway noise but not annoying. We camped at Casa De Fruta RV Orchard Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A Country RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice quiet park on the outskirts east of town. Great concrete sites with grass between sites, all FHU's. Each site has a picnic table. The sites are a little short for big rigs and trucks for parking. Sites were level. The whole park was nicely manicured with a small pool and hot tub. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Not to be missed is the California Fruit Depot, wonderful cara cara oranges, dates etc. also, the best Mexican food is at La Costa Marisco's, wonderful. Shady Creek RV Park & Storage, Aubrey, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This park has full hook ups on all back in sites that are gravel and very narrow, we were unable to use our rug our chairs had to sit on really large gravel that was difficult to walk on. The streets are all paved and there is a pool with several amenities. We were there for a month ($625) and was required to pay a deposit of $150 which was for electric. I believe this park is very expensive with no cable and WiFi almost nonexistent most of the time. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

North Crest RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located right next to I35 on the west side of the Hiway, so easy getting into. My major complaint was the road noise was terrible. The park is laid out in a random pattern which gave ample room for each camper. Each site had a picnic table, and concrete patio and you parked on gravel. There were plenty of shade trees which made navigating the park extremely difficult. There were a sufficient amount of OTA channels although the campground is advertised as having cable, the little box we were given didn't work. WiFi was an acceptable speed. The owner was very nice and tried his best to make our stay pleasant. We paid $40. Definitely not a resort. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Southbound 59 RV Park & Furnished Country Cabins, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

I really wanted to like this park but unfortunately I did not and would not return. The price was certainly good using Passport America Discount ($18.68) which I had to prepay at the time of my reservation. It was really odd when you enter the park there is no signage of where the office is located, when you are pulling a big rig this is especially troubling - not wanting to have to back up any of the rows. So I called the office number I had with me and the owner said she would walk over to the office and meet me and told me the location. She was very friendly. They did have a nice selection of free DVD's available with a really small store. Our site was gravel with sparse grass, mostly red mud. My husband hates sites that are muddy so this was a red flag immediately for him. The sites are average on space. There was lots of road noise and a large amount of long term looking rigs, but most looked very neat. We would not stay at this park again. We camped at Southbound 59 RV Park & Furnished Country Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Warrior RV Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is awful in every aspect! Do not stay here! The park sits lower down in a valley below the highway so there is really loud road noise. Also it is difficult to get into the park because of the narrow road and turn. The roads are extremely narrow for big rigs in the park and it makes it worse because people's sites aren't long enough and they park in the road. The water is in a box below the ground, which is inconvenient itself but making it worse, ours was filled with water. There are no refunds or we would have gladly left. Do yourself a favor and drive on by this old park. We camped at Warrior RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

WinStar RV Park, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

$20 per night and $30 on weekends, 1st night free, those prices are all with the Players Card which is given at the time of check-in, the price is $10 more for pull thru's. There isn't a weekly price. And the cherry on top of this fantastic park is the free breakfast on Wednesday and Thursdays for seniors, the regular price is $15.99. This is one of our favorite RV parks we've visited. Everything is perfect including the spotless bathrooms and laundry facilities. Sites are spotless with picnic tables and grills and trash receptacles provided with free trash pickup. Lovely walking/biking trail around the park. Sites are concrete pads with all roads concrete as well. The closest town with facilities is Gainesville which does have a Walmart. Thackerville is located about 1 1/2 hour from Dallas. You cannot go wrong staying at Windstar! We will definitely return to Windstar. We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hickory Creek COE (Closed until March 2019), Lewisville, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a COE Park and is located in a great area with lots of amenities north of Dallas. We saw deer everyday some turkeys and had a lovely site (11) right on Lake Lewisville. The site was on broken asphalt and not level. This park is very quiet during the week but as soon as Friday comes the RV's start rolling in, so really crowded on the weekends, although still very quiet at night.

The COE has a policy of only 14 nights and then you can apply for an extension which we tried to do, you can apply 4 days before your date you are to leave. The rangers approve if you stay or not, the problem was they don't notify you until it is time to leave which doesn't leave time to make other arrangements if you are not given a spot.

There is no sewers but a dump station. Sites are well spaced apart. We camped at Hickory Creek COE (Closed until March 2019) in a Fifth Wheel.

Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park), Olathe, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We loved the campground and stayed for a month which the price reflects the lower amount. We had plenty of room on each side with mature trees for shade and were parked on a concrete pad. The bathrooms were spotless and they also provide a laundry room. They have a nice free library and dvd's to choose from. The utilities are all excellent, including the water pressure. We have 63 channels on cable TV (analog) and excellent wifi. The owners are fantastic in helping in every way they can. The park is located in the little town of Olathe so it is a easy walk downtown where there is a great breakfast place, small town but handy. Olathe is also located in the center of so many great areas to sightsee, so it's a great place as a central location. Of course this area is known for its delicious Olathe corn (yumm) and the palisade peaches. We went to Fruita and picked peaches, so much fun in a beautiful location on top of a Mesa. Just some of the places within a days drive: Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Owl Creek Pass, Marble, Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, Grand Junction, Ouray, Telluride and so much more. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
