St Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

As with most KOA's, overpriced and cramped. Our pull through site included a concrete patio with table and chairs and gas grill. Tight getting in site for big rig. Asked for a site where we could get satellite - but not given one. Biggest problem (why I gave it a 4) was bad electrical power. They DID look at it twice, but never resolved. Luckily didn't need AC. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Jolly Acres RV Park and Storage, Saint George, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

One night stopover. A little pricey for what you get. Owner a little overwhelmed when several large units arrived at once. Said she just had a cancellation so we could stay. Tried calling several times to reserved, but no answer and no return call. Escorted to our site, good thing, as park has confusing layout. Verizon ok. Couldn't get WIFI to work. Could use a little sprucing up - paint, cleaning. Didn't use bathrooms but peeked inside. Single toilet and shower. OK for big rig. We camped at Jolly Acres RV Park and Storage in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, we got lost. Construction issues. Stayed one night passing through. Friendly office staff. Pricey like most KOAs. Off season and rainy so not much going on. Tight for big rigs, site just long enough didn't have to unhitch car. Verizon and WIFI ok. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Three Springs RV Campground, Rolla, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Spent one night passing through. About 6 miles off expressway. Nice couple owns the place. They were closing the store for the winter. Gave us a choice of several pull through sites. Our site was just long enough for the motorhome and toad without unhitching. We had a problem with power at the pedestal and owner came out right away to troubleshoot and fix. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the turn around without unhooking the car when we went to leave. We think it would be a nice place in-season. Verizon weak and couldn't pick up wifi. We camped at Three Springs RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Level, long gravel pull through sites. Utilities good with cable. Nice view. Wonderful Bathhouse. Shuttle to casino, but walkable. Tell them you saw the $18 billboard, or they will charge more. Intended to stay only one night, but liked it so we stayed 2. All sites are NE facing. Friendly people. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gila Bend KOA (formerly Augie's Quail Trail RV Park), Gila Bend, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed just one night passing through. Neat, clean park. Long, level sites. Pool not open yet. (Waiting on approval of county?) Very friendly. WiFi and Verizon good. Warning sign for poisonous snakes, scorpions and bugs - YIKES. All gravel. 2 grassy pet areas and pet wash. Clubhouse. Work in progress, but will be quite nice. Holt's Shell RV Park, Gila Bend, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here but didn't stay. Old truck out back says "$19 a day". Went inside and the guy says it's $40 a day - that's an old sign. Absolutely NO ONE staying in the park. All gravel, run down. We left and went to a park down the street. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Pricey and then pay extra for the dog, pay extra because we were delayed by weather and had to change reservation. Right next to the marina and water and park with views of SD bay. Nice pool, planned activities. Tight roads and tight sites. Had to trim back bushes. Back in site too short for motorhome and car and nowhere else to park car. They told us it's ok if it sticks out into the road, everyone does it. Pull through would be better for big rig. Verizon weak. Wifi ok. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

They gave us a pull through W/E only FHU sites were all booked. Dump station available. Some grass and small trees. Views of the mountains. Sites are level and gravel with stone sitting areas and picnic tables = dusty. There's a small store and clean individual bathrooms with showers. They have 2 dog runs. Wifi and Verizon good. Gated with entrance code. Free coffee. A few nice tent spots. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Three big rigs pulled in at the same time the office was closed from 10 to 12 for lunch. We had to wait until the guy finished his lunch, hmmm service? We were given site 14 pull through FHU 50amp. Not all sites are FHU or 50 amp. Site is gravel, level, not quite long enough to keep car attached. We're next to the garbage and the dump. There's a restaurant here too and they deliver to your site. We didn't try it. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Corral Drive-In RV Park, Guymon, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The campground here is an odd mix of Drive-in theatre, RV Park, Part shop and restaurant. Drive-in and restaurant are closed for the season. Nice family checked us in. It's right off 54. We were given site 23 a long full hook up pull through with 50 amp. There's a nice wide strip of grass between sites and hookups are convenient. Surprisingly, there's no picnic table. Satellite and Verizon work well. Very windy while we were there with wind gusts up to 50mph. We camped at Corral Drive-In RV Park in a Motorhome.

USI RV Park, Wichita, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Only spent a night passing through. Thought the price was high for what you get, but it is very close to the city. We found Wi-Fi to be marginal. Verizon good. Office staff very helpful and friendly. Pull through long enough we didn't have to unhook the toad. We camped at USI RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cobb Ridge Campground USFS, Chadwick, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is laid out strange and our very, very long 130' pull through site is actually 2 sites. We checked with the camp host to see about how we should park - they didn't care. The one-way road gets pretty tight for a big rig. Lots of wood fencing along roads and around sites. Some sites have 50 amp, some have no electric, water spigots scattered throughout, no sewer and no dump. Some pit and some flush toilets, but hot showers available. Bathhouse could be cleaner. There are signs to look out for bears, although we saw none. Barely able to get Verizon service. ATV trails run right through the campground and most people are here to use them. Could get noisy. We camped at Cobb Ridge Campground USFS in a Motorhome.

What a great place. No sewer and tight dump station or would have rated a 10. A few low branches to look out for. Some sites are right on the water with a beautiful view. No WiFi Verizon ok.
