Riverside RV Park, Chehalis, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Per night price reflects weekly rate and Good Sam discount. 28 sites all in one row bordering golf course. Rumor they are putting in more sites. Utilities good. WiFi reached at times with booster. Nice course and good restaurant. Beers on tap. Worried the entire stay that stray balls would hit us as the sites are close to a practice area and a big slice off #10 could get to camping area. Site 1 does not have a net, and was the only site available for length of our stay. Most sites are protected by net. Golf rates reasonable and they throw in a cart when you stay here. Check in at clubhouse. Not as noisy as expected from reading reviews. Would stay again. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fidalgo Bay Resort, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Tight for big rig. We stayed in East section, West section may have better spacing. Sites very close together had to have neighbor move his picnic table so we could put out our slide. Had to place our table in front of motorhome since no room between sites. Campground on water when tide is in, but view of refinery. Nice walking/biking trail runs through park. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

I'll call this a 'compact' campground. 28 sites in 2 rows. Tight turning in for a big rig. Good utilities and WiFi. Some grass between sites. Close to downtown Sequim with cute shops, restaurants and a farmers market on Saturday. A bit pricey. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort, Warden, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We used a play and stay program and played 2 rounds of golf while we were here. Course was ok. Gravel sites, utilities good, adequate grass between sites. Small pool and restaurant in clubhouse. Biggest complaint - it smelled like cows! We camped at Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Overpriced. Overrun. 'Beach' is right next to boats slips. Or site was next to 95 so a lot of road noise. Office always busy. For the price, WiFi should be available at sites. Some tight turns for big rig. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Illini State Park, Marseilles, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

There are 2 loops here. We stayed one night in the Great Falls loop. Roads are paved and sites are gravel. A little tight for big rigs, especially getting out. Dump would be difficult. River barges passed right behind our very large site. Good and bad since they were interesting to watch, but sound a horn when passing. Huge trees. Sites could use some sprucing up. We camped at Illini State Park in a Motorhome.

FMCA Campground (FMCA members only), Cincinnati, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

FMCA members only. Be aware park is now RESERVATION ONLY, no longer first come first served. You must make reservations by accessing FMCA webpage and choosing campground option and then option for reservation page. You check in and out using this method also. No one at campground to explain or help with new confusing process. Completely full and some people turned away. FMCA recently admitted all RV's, not just motorhomes, to membership so more demand. Water pressure low. Progressive Unit detected low voltage several times and shut down electricity. (Hot and high demand however) Full hook up area and electricity only area. No facilities. Restaurants, shopping, golf, biking and walking trails nearby. We camped at FMCA Campground (FMCA members only) in a Motorhome.

Levi Jackson State Park, London, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are of varying size and quality so beware when booking o-line or driving through. We reserved a site that seemed big enough on line, but when we got there, was too small. Staff put us on a handicapped site backwards, where we had to wiggle in, but in the end it worked. They hold back quite a few sites for walk-ins. Most sections are not Big Rig friendly. Section D has full hookup and pull through sites. Section H has W/E pull throughs, but narrow access. Come into park off Barboursville Road, don't follow signs to take 25 to the park as this way has narrow sections and sharp curves. Staff was friendly and helped us find appropriate site. We found bath houses to be clean but push button faucets annoying and it takes a while to get hot water. Playground, pavilions, bball and volleyball courts. We were here before Memorial Day, but in season there's a grist mill, museum, pool, and ropes/zipline. Wi-Fi free, but goes in and out. We camped at Levi Jackson State Park in a Motorhome.

Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground), Summerton, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nights on way north from Florida. Property right on Lake Marion, but close to I-95 bridge so there is noise. Sites are close, sandy. Staff not very friendly. Lots of rules. Nice pool area with lazy river sandy 'beach' area. Friends staying at campground adjacent and said this place is better than where they are staying and less expensive. We camped at Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground) in a Motorhome.

Crooked River State Park, Saint Marys, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

There is a $5 fee to enter the park. Campsites and one bathhouse are being renovated. Only one bathhouse at present. Some pull throughs. about half full hook ups, but may change as renovations are made. Some tricky turns for big rig. Beautiful state park on the river. Nature Center, boat ramp, wildlife viewing areas. Camp store and marina store. We camped at Crooked River State Park in a Motorhome.

Ocean Breeze Resort, Jensen Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here last year for a short period. Stayed the entire month of April this time. Price reflects big discount for reservation made at Tampa RV Show. Regular rates are $1k/+mth. Lots of changes since last year. Beautiful new pool with Spa, beautiful restrooms with sauna and steam room. Planned activities, pickleball, corn hole, water aerobics, yoga, etc. Also a grill and bar on site. Mostly a modular home community, but 45 super sites- long pull thrus, concrete pads, paver patio, gas grill and patio set. Additional temporary RV sites that will eventually be home sites. Only negative is noise from very close train. We camped at Ocean Breeze Resort in a Motorhome.

St. Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

As with most KOA's, overpriced and cramped. Our pull through site included a concrete patio with table and chairs and gas grill. Tight getting in site for big rig. Asked for a site where we could get satellite - but not given one. Biggest problem (why I gave it a 4) was bad electrical power. They DID look at it twice, but never resolved. Luckily didn't need AC. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Jolly Acres RV Park and Storage, Saint George, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

One night stopover. A little pricey for what you get. Owner a little overwhelmed when several large units arrived at once. Said she just had a cancellation so we could stay. Tried calling several times to reserved, but no answer and no return call. Escorted to our site, good thing, as park has confusing layout. Verizon ok. Couldn't get WIFI to work. Could use a little sprucing up - paint, cleaning. Didn't use bathrooms but peeked inside. Single toilet and shower. OK for big rig. We camped at Jolly Acres RV Park and Storage in a Motorhome.

Yes, we got lost. Construction issues. Stayed one night passing through. Friendly office staff. Pricey like most KOAs. Off season and rainy so not much going on. Tight for big rigs, site just long enough didn't have to unhitch car. Verizon and WIFI ok. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Three Springs RV Campground, Rolla, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Spent one night passing through. About 6 miles off expressway. Nice couple owns the place. They were closing the store for the winter. Gave us a choice of several pull through sites. Our site was just long enough for the motorhome and toad without unhitching. We had a problem with power at the pedestal and owner came out right away to troubleshoot and fix. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the turn around without unhooking the car when we went to leave. We think it would be a nice place in-season. Verizon weak and couldn't pick up wifi. We camped at Three Springs RV Campground in a Motorhome.
