Very nice camp ground and good location for the area. The park and lake are beautiful. The campground was well maintained, clean and restrooms were great. The sites in our look (Teal) were a bit funky with shared common back in. One site much deeper than the second one so there was some separation and we got used to it. Over all a very nice stay and we would stay here again.

A very clean RV park that is less than a mile from town. They are supposed to have shuttle to town but we never inquired as we have a tow vehicle and parking town is very easy and free. The sites are big, most are pull through and quite wide and deep. Parking the car at the site was no problem. The restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. If fact the entire campground is well maintained. The only unfortunate part was there was poor to no cable TV. In fact they have removed it from their list of amenities. The Cable company (I believe it is Cox Cable) is pulling out of town by the end of the month so no upkeep on the system. We had no service and only 3 oddball channels on our HD antenna. So unless you have Dish or Direct TV system do not count on TV. But we don't camp for TV and found plenty of other things to keep us busy. I would camp here again if ever in the area. momdoc.

We stayed 3 nights. Our site was big enough (pull through) for both the MH and the tow vehicle. Site was level, gravel and had a picnic table as well. Bathrooms (one male one female) were clean but I was a bit taken aback by the 50 cent shower fee. The owners were attentive and answered multiple questions about places to see and things to do. She checked on us every day to make sure all was working well. The Cable and Electric were fine with lots of cable stations to chose from. The waffles and coffee in the morning was a nice touch as well. If in the are would camp here again. I should say it looked much nicer than the other parks we passed in town momdoc.

RV park is behind an old somewhat rundown motel. It is an open gravel lot with multiple sites. All are pull full and pretty long (we did not have to unhitch). Electric and water worked fine. The showers are an old dingy motel room and could really use some sprucing up. Lots of full time folks living here as well. But a good one night stop when traveling. Four or 5 other rigs pulled in for the night as well. momdoc.

We camped here for 4 days at an ocean side site. There are is also a river campground with more secluded sites. The park was beautiful and our site was terrific with views of the dunes and beautiful sunsets. The sites are close together but no worse than other campgrounds we have stayed in. The fort was quite interesting and well restored. A nice piece of preserved American history. A must see if in the area. We would stay here again if in the area. momdoc.

This is one of our favorite state park. We have stayed here twice now. There is lots to do and see in the park and it is close too all that you want to visit "downtown". The camping sites are big and secluded for the most part. Whether you are camping in a tent or a 40 foot class A RV you get the true sense of "camping out". Restrooms and showers are clean and comfortable as well. momdoc.

.Very crowded RV park that could use some sprucing up. Shower facilities were ok but could also use some updating. Sites were small and on top of each other. Most of the sites, especialy in the back were full time livers. Easy to reach the space cementer from here. It served our purpose.

Travelers World RV Resort

.Nice motor home park. Well kept and clean with very nice showers. The back in sites are a bit small and close together and the pull through sites a bit larger and a bit more space between sites. Great having the bus at the front door and this made it easy to get into and back from town. The park is also right on the river walk and make a great afternoon walk. It is also quite close to the multiple missions. We would stay here again if in the area momdoc.

Great state park with beautiful views and great sunsets. Sites are large and spacious with lots of room between sites. We had an Electric and water site but no sewer (there are a couple of those as well as lots with no electric). Bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept. I still cannot get used to the push button (for 30 seconds of water) type of shower and again hard to control the temp. There is an interesting visiting center as well Do be aware that your GPS may send you the wrong way and you will end up on dirt road. Ignore "her" and stay on highway 54 until Dog Canyon Road (state park sign here as well) and take this nice paved road to the park and not the "something ranch road". We will return here during the warmer weather season to explore the area some more. It is a quick 25 min ride to White Sands Monument from here. momdoc.

Small quaint campground with terrific hosts. Sites are a bit crowded but we lucked out with #11 on the end and lots of room for us. It backs up to a large field and is on a road in the front but not much noise. Showers are clean and lots of hot water. Great Wi-Fi and cable TV is good as well. You have to leave a $20 deposit for the box but you get it back. If in the area we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Brantley Lake State Park

We prefer to camp in a park like setting and our setting here was great with a very good view of the lake and sunset. The sites are gravel and fairly level. Restrooms were clean but as noted cold and I did not really like the push button system to get water for the shower plus you could not control the temperature. We had no ranger at the gate, visitors center was closed, and we never saw the campground host either. We also missed not having a fire ring. We did however have horrific winds so be careful about that. All in all a good 3 night stop and we would camp here again.

.We chose to stay here both for location and the fact that it was a state park and not an RV resort. First the positives Great location Pretty park Well maintained Right on the bay with great views Friendly staff Liked the sewer hook ups at the site GREAT sunset views And the negatives No fire rings Showers were awful with no real hot water and a push button system to get the shower to run with getting a few minutes with each push of the button. Not a way to shower Poor water pressure at the camp sites. Not much privacy at the sites with it all being open and fairly close together sites Having said all this I most likely would stay here again if in the area We did not have any problems with ants but we did use borax around the coach momdoc.

This is the worst campground we have ever stayed in. The sites were extremely small and in fact our slide out ended up in our neighbors site. Also there were so many cars and trucks about that they hung into the roadway all over the place. It reminded me of a used car/RV lot. We were also told that the bathroom and showers were for tent campers only. Well there was one tent camper while we were there and I must admit I used the showers anyway. The grounds themselves gave an appearance of being neglected and in needing of sprucing up. We also found the staff a bit unfriendly. We would never camp here again. Wal-Mart offers better camping.
