Hidden Valley RV Park, Del Rio, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We decided we would spend the winter months here in Del Rio TX. We are so glad we did! We checked out all the parks and campgrounds in Del Rio, and decided on Hidden Valley. We love this park! Hidden Valley is not a 'campground', it is an adult RV Park located in the upscale historic section of Del Rio, away from the highway and noise. It took me a while to get use to the quiet! The 10.00 rate is based on our 300.00 monthly rate for a Class C Motor Home. The newly remodeled "Wash" is so cute and homey with a large lounge with comfy sofas, tables, TV, Book and DVD lending library, and exercise equipment. The back room has a large laundry area with 4 washers and dryers, and everything is kept really clean. The park use to be a mobile home park, now converted into an RV park so the lots are really big and spacious. Most have very nice concrete patios and some sites are even fenced in for dogs or privacy. All sites are full hookup and free cable. Free WiFi is available, too. If you need a ride anywhere, there is a gentleman in the park that will take you where ever you want to go, even to the Mexican city just across the boarder for a small fee. The owners are very nice and accommodating. She even met us at Walmart when we first came in and had us follow her to the park. We came for a month, and are now staying for several months! We camped at Hidden Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The White Head Museum is less than a mile away, as is a nice winery. There are many good Mexican Restaurants in town, and several very good Texas BBQ places. Walmart, Home Depot, Auto Zone and more is here, and even a small mall with JC Penny as the anchor store. Winter Weather here is fabulous!

Beaver Creek Recreation Area, Linton, North Dakota

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We really like this park! Beaver Bay is so pretty, and the sites have plenty of shade. This is an Army Corps park, so it is very clean, well maintained, and the camp host was very accommodating and helpful! There is a pontoon boat that crosses the bay; picks you up at the boat dock and delivers you to a Casino across the bay on the weekends. No charge. The gaming at the casino was really great, and the food was good there, too. The pontoon boat ride was even fun! The sites up on the bay are really spacious and mostly pull-thrus. I would definitely stay here again! The rate we paid is based on a Senior Pass. We camped at Beaver Creek Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Stock up before you get there - Bismark is 85 miles away! Check out the boat ride and Casino across the bay! Food there was pretty good, and gaming was great!
