Sheffield RV & Camping, Rexburg, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Interesting place. Entrance road was quite rough. Pullthru sites were close and difficult to get in straight. Owners were nice and helpful, but being a PA park we were disappointed with the extra charges that ran the bill up. Could be a great place with some work. Cattle on grounds in corrals, but no smell. Felt like we were in the middle of a pasture with broken down and rusted farm equipment all over the place. Gift shop was best we had ever seen, except it was never open and had to observe by looking through window from outside. My beagles loved the place!! Does not merit 5 star resort which is bait and switch routine in my opinion. Really not a bad place, just needs cleaned up a bit. We camped at Sheffield RV & Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Oconee / Lawrence Shoals Campground, Eatonton, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beauitful park on Lake Oconee - a real fisherman's park. There are nice level back in sites which were huge. The price was right for a two night stay. The park hosts were very nice and helpful as well. This one is on my list to return too. Only drawback was its a tad bit out of the way, but worth the drive. We camped at Lake Oconee / Lawrence Shoals Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Laughlin / Avi Casino KOA, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: February, 2007 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with level sites and fairly large. Plenty of room for big rigs. Not the typical KOA, but more of a snowbird park. WiFi is weak and they charge 8 dollars a day which is crazy. Charge was dropped while there and now is free. Casino owns the KOA. Casino is nice and they provide transportation to their front door. Nice lounge in the office with TV. Two public computers for your use. Acres of room for walking pets. Office staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Next door to golf course although stray balls fly over the fence on occasion. Coupons available for free nights. Casino is clean and one of the nicer ones I have been in. Very nice place with some palm trees. Security checks CG every hour. Will definitely come back. Price is right as well. Close to grocery stores just 3 miles away. Only drawback was the constant wind blowing night and day. We camped at Laughlin / Avi Casino KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
