Country Manor Mobile Home Community (55+ Park), Visalia, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here two nights to stage for visiting Sequoia. It is a hybrid trailer park with lots of older units but with a lot of space for visiting RV. Saw many high end RV's in here. Park is well kept with nice landscaping and ample room. Sites are a concrete slab with grassy adjoining area. Power plug in unusual place, on the under side of the breaker box. Staff was super and provided info on visiting the parks. They use Tengonet for internet. We Wifi networks. We had problems initially but called Tengonet help line and they had us up in no time. Good speed internet. We camped at Country Manor Mobile Home Community (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Overland Trail Campground, Fort Davis, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Good place to stay if going to the McDonald Observatory. However, remember this is a small town in west Texas so this is not the ritz. Sites are dirt only. Both full and water/electric hookups for RV are available. Also a tent camping area. As the whole campground is gravel/grass/dirt it is dusty. Our rate was based on a 15% discount for vets. Staff was friendly. Did not evaluate restrooms. Great location, probably the best of all local campgrounds, as it is within walking distance of all of town with the exception of the local grocery store. Good cable TV and wifi was very good. If you have slides, the sites are narrow. We camped at Overland Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Payne's RV Park, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Park is quite, clean, and the staff is friendly. Contrary to the advertisement, there was no operational wifi. Passwords did not work and the staff said they were having problems and that WE should contact their carrier. Also, neither we or our neighbors had success connecting to their "cable TV". We checked 5 sites with no luck. In short it's a nice campground with no technical amenities. We camped at Payne's RV Park in a Motorhome.

They do accept Passport America son our rates were really $13.50/night for the first two nights. They limit to two nights with PA.
