Summer House Park, Miller Lake, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Really enjoyed the stay. The site was excellent with plenty of shade. Not crowded at all. Had a very woodsy feel. Main roads in were asphalt and the sites were gravel and level. Nice store and cafe on site. Great lakefront beach on Miller Lake. Even had a dog beach. We were just 30 minutes to Tobermory or 30 minutes south to Wiarton. Would definitely go back again. We camped at Summer House Park in a Motorhome.

Ivy's Cove RV Retreat, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to find off I-40. Owner is like a one man band. He does everything and very friendly as well. We were in the new section that has recently been open. Good services, well located. Sites are gravel with grass between. Plenty of space to walk the dogs. For a small park the wifi was pretty good. We would stop again if we were heading that way. We camped at Ivy's Cove RV Retreat in a Motorhome.

Mustang Run RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Just off of I-40. Concrete pads and roadways. This park appeared fairly new. There was plenty of grassed area for the dogs and a dog park as well. The pool was closed which was a little disappointing since the temperature was quite warm while we were there. No toting the trash to a bin, there was daily pickup at your site. We camped at Mustang Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very good park just off of I-40. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and efficient. We especially enjoyed the pizza and wings we ordered from their kitchen the first night. The park was clean and well organized with the majority of the sites being pull-throughs. Nice grassed area for the dogs as well as a fenced dog park. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Havasu Falls RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in this park for 5 days. It was a little pricey but that is the going rate to stay in Lake Havasu. The sites were clean with concrete pull-throughs and gravel in between. They were a bit tight. The staff and the park people were pleasant. They had a nice dog walk down the one side of the park. We were here to see Lake Havasu and the London Bridge so we didn't get to use the amenities. We visited Lake Havasu City downtown and lucked out. There was a meeting of the "Duece Coup Club" over 100 antique and vintage cars. Seems there is always something going on in Lake Havasu. We camped at Havasu Falls RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great two day stop just off I-40 on our way back east. The sites were level and the electricity was stable. Wifi also was pretty good for an RV park. It was off season so the water was not available at the site but was at the office. Since we were only there 2 nights we didn't need it. Also as mentioned before you registered at the hotel office. There was no park attendant. No big deal, you just phoned and they picked you up. Great buffet meals at the casino for a reasonable price. We had the prime rib buffet on a Monday. It was great. We would use this as an overnight (or 2 night) rest stop again. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Verde River RV Resort & Cottages , Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I appreciate the fact that the new owners are trying to create a beautiful park but at the time we were there it was just a run-down location with no amenities. True they were coming sometimes in the future. Their sign says spring 2017 (not a chance). For what we got the rate was way too high and they did not accept Good Sam's (even thought they have a Good Sam's rating). The sites were gravel and grass or should I say weeds. But they were level and the services were good (we had 50amp). There was no dog park. You had to walk them on the gravel roads. The grass was not really grass but some sort of prickly weed that the dogs refused to walk on. While we were there there was a lot of construction equipment used digging up septic tanks or grading the grounds of the yet to open club house pool and spa. Need I say dusty. I saw the drawings of what they want the park to be in the future but would not return until they occurred. The rate is too high for what they have now. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Arizona Oasis RV Resort , Ehrenberg, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here at the end of February for 5 days. It was a great stay. We were very please. The people were friendly and took is right to our site. When we found we couldn't level the coach they immediately moved us to another. The cable TV was the best quality we have had and the wifi was adequate for an RV park. This is a gated community so thee is a secure feeling. The beach along the Colorado river is great. We weren't there long enough but it seemed they had a lot of activities at the club house. We have put this one on the list for next year. We camped at Arizona Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

29 Palms Golf Resort, Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We mainly stopped here so we could visit Joshua Tree National Park. I sure wouldn't go for any other reason. It's basically a narrow strip of land beside the golf course with 2 rows of sites plus quite a few cottages. When we were there all but one cottage was empty and many of the sites were open. Our second day there the sewer was backing up at our spot and our tanks were closed. The excuse was "the big rigs come in and overwhelm the system". After a few more days of smell an outside contractor was called in to clear the blockage. They make a big deal on their web page about how they can't keep up with the wifi demands because some people use netflix and skype. When you get there they say they don't have any internet access except at the office. Come on people, wifi in an RV park is a must. We enjoyed our trips into Joshua Tree Park but we won't be back to this RV resort. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Fountain of Youth Spa, Niland, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for one week for the first time and we just loved this place. My only complaint was that the site I had we could not level the motor home well enough. That said we are definitely considering a long term stay next year of a month maybe two. It is about 40 miles to the closest shopping if that is your thing but for long term stays a day trip can always be done. As mentioned by others the people have got to be the friendliest that we have experienced in any campground. We didn't get to participate because of the short stay but the activity list is pages long. There is even a visit from a farmer twice a week with a stock of fresh fruit and vegetables. Multiple pools, multiple spas, entertainment and one huge dog park. I could go on and on but we are sure we will visit again. Oh and the wifi was good but that was because we were parked right under one of the towers. We camped at Fountain of Youth Spa in a Motorhome.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, Santee, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 5 days and found the place well worth it. Sites were sand but very level. Services were all good. People were friendly and helpful. Although there was no dog park as such there was plenty of walking paths in and around the multiple lakes. One caution, the coyotes have been coming into the camp and it is wise not to leave small pets outside unattended as they tell you " a few pets have gone missing". The wifi was fair for a campground. Close enough to shopping and San Diego as well. We would return. We camped at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in a Motorhome.

Dos Picos County Park, Ramona, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Just a gem of a county park. Clean and well maintained. The site was easy to back into with the RV. Too bad it rained heavily for 2 of the 6 days we were there. Still it was sheltered and quiet. We would go back again if we were in the area. We camped at Dos Picos County Park in a Motorhome.

Holiday Palms RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in the first part of January for a week and were quite pleased. We were put in the pull-through sites at the front across from the office. We had good wifi (for an RV park) because we could log onto the office system. When it was down we had a Tengo Internet coupon that was in our packet. The site was gravel but it was level and all the services were good. We found the staff exceptionally helpful. We had a minor mishap (I overshot the tow dolly) that one of their staff helped me to rectify. This is a great spot to stay if your there for the gem show, swap meets or RV show. We found the people in the park very friendly. We would come back again to this park. We camped at Holiday Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

Western Way RV Resort (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We really loved this place. It did not have that big park feel . The long term people were very friendly and informative. The staff was also pleasant. There was not fenced dog run but there was plenty of walking area just outside the gated park. Looked like there was a lot of activities if we were staying longer. We found plenty to do outside the park as well. A visit to the Sonora Desert Museum and Old Tucson Studios is a must. We also found our way to Mission San Xavier del Bac "The White Dove of the Desert". Definitely on our list for a long term stay in the future. Black Rock RV Village, Salome, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 weeks so the rate was the weekly divided by 7. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They took you to your site and helped you back in. Front office was also pleasant. Sites were very spacious. Yes the sites are gravel as are the roads. The water truck came around to water the roads every morning. The park has easy access to the desert. We were not pleased with the WIFI situation. They only have hot spots and don't try to use them if the regulars are playing cards or darts at the rec hall. Your not welcome. This is a major must have for RV parks in this day and age. That's how we as snow birds stay in touch and also plan our travels. We now choose our future campgrounds based on the availability of Wifi. As I implied the full timers were not as welcoming as other parks we have been in. We would not stay here again. We camped at Black Rock RV Village in a Motorhome.
