Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A pleasant park nicely located between Albuquerque (great bike trails and other activities) and the Route 66 Casino (where we went to see a concert - Jethro Tull). We stayed 4 nights and they let us use the Passport America discount on 2 nights and AAA discount the other 2 nights. Restrooms/showers were kind of small and dated, but clean and adequate. Although the park is basically a gravel lot, the spaces are wide enough and there are some mature trees to provide some comfort. We were disappointed to find the pool and hot tub not operational. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Travel Trailer.

Patagonia Lake State Park, Patagonia, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was very busy, but we still did not feel tightly packed into our spot. The higher numbered loops looked pretty crowded and I think we would have enjoyed our time less if we had been camping in that area. The restrooms and showers appeared to be quite new, clean and provide plenty of capacity. I was surprised to see rangers cleaning the restrooms instead of camp hosts. We camped at Patagonia Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Extremely busy on the weekends. No wood or propane fires (or even smoking outside your vehicle!) when we visited in June.

Benson KOA, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

The park had very clean facilities. Camping spaces were small, but we were spread out enough to be able to use two spots. I thought our stay was okay except for two items. We were there with two small kids which resulted in a nightly fee of around $50 after taxes even with the 10% discount and special weekend promotion. The other problem was a policy that did not open any of the childrens' activities until 10am. I think the pool and playground should be open after quiet time is over - 8 am. Final comment: it has amenities to attract families but their policies and pricing discourages families. I noticed it was the least populated RV park in the area, so others must have similar thoughts about this park. We camped at Benson KOA in a Travel Trailer.
