The asphalt parking pads are narrow therefore your awning will extend over a bed of rocks/shells. It's not bad but today is rainy so it will be a bit messy.

Andersonville City Park Campground, Andersonville, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Campground: Andersonville City RV Park is our destination so we can visit the National POW Memorial. The RV Park is perfect for our overnight stay. There appears to be a few full time travel trailers here. The park is convenient, simple, quaint and well maintained. Pull thru site 12 is a small concrete pad large enough for our 35ft without having to unhitch our toad. Looking forward to a morning of site seeing in Andersonville. We camped at Andersonville City Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice park located in Alexander City, AL directly on Lake Martin. Pricey to stay here but for a night at $63 I'll take it as the view at sunset will be stunning. Nice concrete pad with fire ring and stand up charcoal grill. We camped at Wind Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Noccalula Falls Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

The park is easy to access and is in a beautiful location adjacent to Noccalula Falls themselves. Our site is a back-in and has a concrete pad (yeah). The grounds are well maintained by city staff who are very friendly. We camped at Noccalula Falls Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring good walking shoes and a walking cane if you're a bit unsteady with walking on gravel. Very nice laundry facility. $1.00 a load to wash. Same for drying. They do have a pool but it's October so that's null. They do have a children's playground.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We loved everything about this park as we were joined by our local family to experience the Total Eclipse. Our site was perfect. We took our pet to the dog park and the kids to the water park and play ground. We rode our bikes around the park. We'd definitely stay there again and would love to do so at Christmas when they have their holiday light display. We camped at James Island County Park in a Motorhome.

Ocean Pond Campground (USFS), Sanderson, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

We chose Ocean Pond as a overnight camping stop on our way home from Myrtle Beach to Shalimar, FL. A bit off the interstate but a must stop as my husband grew up near Ocean Pond and has always been pleased with their accommodations. Both sets of Camp Host were so pleasant and helpful.

Ocean Pond is off the beaten path but worth the stay. Bring your mosquito spray and sunscreen. Lots of both but hey it's camping. Very quiet and peaceful. I sat outside early this morning and could hear the train choo choo along side Hwy 90. We camped at Ocean Pond Campground (USFS) in a Motorhome.

Blythe Island Regional Park Campground, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Just an overnight stay. We requested a pull thru so we didn't have to unhook toad. They only had 30amp which we took and made do. Campgrounds were very clean. Nicely wooded but sandy sites with a concrete pad for the picnic table provided. We walked the park in the evening and met several nice campers who were very intrigued with our bus ('87 Bluebird Wanderlodge). The county park appears to be heavily used by locals launching boats on Fancy Bluff Creek. I had thought they had a small store or canteen but didn't see one. I also didn't locate the dog area. Interesting note: A full time camper "cautioned" us about alcoholic beverages. Sure enough, signs displayed at check in facility and various other locals indicate "No Alchol nor firearms". That's a first for us to see in all our travels. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.
