Raccoon Holler Campground, Glendale Springs, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Good park: the restrooms are clean, and the grounds are very well kept. Sites around site 135, are on a gravel lane and tend to get very dusty with traffic. We camped at Raccoon Holler Campground in a Motorhome.

Zooland Family Campground, Asheboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

First time staying here and was pleasantly surprised. Restrooms updated, office staff very helpful and the lower "meadow" sites, even though there was no sewer hookups, were very nice. Upper sites with sewer are closer together but nice. New owners are striving to make this a great location and it shows. Only suggestion would be to make sites a little more level. Will be returning soon. We camped at Zooland Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Reidsville, Reidsville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Much better now than it was a few years back. Restrooms were clean and up to par, lake views were wonderful, the only thing I would add as a negative is that the majority of sites are level enough for campers, 5th wheels and popups but really need to be more level for motorhomes. All of the back in sites had a pretty good downhill grade, a little difficult leveling a 30+ foot motorhome even with hydraulic jacks. With the front jacks just touching the ground to level, you had to bring the rear duals off the ground, something you should never do with a drive shaft vehicle. Maybe in the future they will grade the larger sites a little better. Other than that we had a great stay with our group. We camped at Lake Reidsville in a Motorhome.

Dan Nicholas Park, Salisbury, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great getaway, clean, quiet, paved roads and most sites fairly level. No sewer hookups but had a dump station but had navigate the park to get it on the correct side. Plenty for the younger crowd to do. Close by the NC Transportation museum in Spencer, worth the trip especially for train buffs. Cell phone and air card limited but you know that was ok too. Will be back, had a very pleasant weekend. We camped at Dan Nicholas Park in a Motorhome.

New Green Acres RV Park , Walterboro, South Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have used this park as an overnight stop over for 10 years or longer. The access and length of pull throughs is much better than most but the overall condition of the park has been headed steadily downhill. Electric hook ups are extremely worn, broken and sometimes inoperative. Cable TV lines are running all over the ground and some even present tripping hazards. The restrooms near the office need renovations; the shower handles are broken and the paint is falling off the walls, overflows are common from the water closets. On the bright side the shower water is very hot and plentiful but you never know when it might go from one extreme to the other. Hope the present owner operator will soon put the money necessary into this wonderfully located stop before their customer base erodes away. We camped at New Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs, Silver Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We camped in the Preserve Estates section (class A only) which is a gated access area. Well worth the additional dollars. Love the well spaced sites and the grounds are well taken care of. Tailored for the over 55 crowd, there is no playground equipment or activities for the younger set. In fact visiting children are limited to one week without written permission from management. We will definitely make this campground our destination of choice while visiting area relatives. We camped at Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs in a Motorhome.

Pine Mountain RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 4 nights at this RV Resort and loved every minute of it. Restrooms were extremely clean and heated too. All Resort personnel were very courteous and professional. The crew tending to the sites after a departure even cleaned out the fire pits, you had to look very hard to find even a cigarette butt on the grounds. We will be returning soon. We had a back in stream front site which tend to be a little larger than the pull throughs. I really like this place. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Willow Tree Resort and Campground, Longs, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was smooth, even though the office had some computer problems. Sites are wide and extremely well kept. Absolutely no trash or hardly a cigarette butt anywhere. Only minutes from North Myrtle Beach but a large grocery and Exxon gas are within a couple of miles. Was very quiet at night. This is an extremely nice place to stay a night or a week, will be back soon. We camped at Willow Tree Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Evergreen Park, Dundee, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

There were many sites that were unlevel, many coaches had blocks under their jacks and some had to raise the wheels off of the ground to level. Makes no sense why the operators would put so much money into this otherwise absolutely beautiful well maintained facility and shortcut on the site leveling. Advertised as cable tv ready (I read plug and play) but you had to use a converter box ($) if you wanted reception. We will stay there again as we left with specific sites to request on our next visit. We camped at Evergreen Park in a Motorhome.

Pine Cove Beach Resort, Charleroi, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean small campground, only 38 sites but well maintained. You would have to look hard to find any trash laying around, fire pits cleaned after every checkout. Check in was smooth, reservations are recommended during weekends. All sites are back in, no pull throughs. Shade is non-existent so make sure your canopy works as all trees were planted in 2008. We will return here as it is a convenient over nighter for us midway to Canada. We camped at Pine Cove Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Western Village RV Park, Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

At site #189 all hookups were to the far rear of the site so we had to join two hoses for sewer. The electric connection was OK. The water hookup was grouped with two other sites quite a way from my coach so we needed a twenty five and a fifteen foot hose to get hooked up. It is a nice clean campground. There are some seasonal sites but all were well kept. The restrooms were adequate but more shower and water closets would help. It is a very quiet site. We will camp there again for the Ford Nationals at Carlisle. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Southern Palms RV Resort, Eustis, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Reservations were made, and after office hours arrival was great. The evening site manager was very helpful assisting us with directions to site. Site 900 was adjacent to the highway intersection so road noise was loud; there was a motorcycle bar right at the intersection so the local bikers caused a lot of noise with their bikes well after closing time. Site was nice and large, folks in park were very sociable, and the restrooms were extremely well kept. The only complaint is the racket in the entire section close to the intersection and rec hall area. Won't be staying there again for that reason. We camped at Southern Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ocean Grove RV Resort, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Overall condition of the "resort" is run down. The restrooms and showers are in dire need of a facelift. Cable hookups are in need of repair and fire ants are everywhere. Traffic noise is at a minimum and sites are close. This place is overpriced for the condition and the name resort is a marketing ploy to get people to make reservations. I won't be staying here again. We camped at Ocean Grove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed three days and enjoyed the Festival at the River in Fries. Excellent privately owned campground, well manicured and exceptional service from the owners.
