Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 35 foot Fifth wheel. And have enough room to unhook and park in front of the 5th Wheel. We paid about $46.86/night with tax and after discounts. Easy camp to get to from Rt 10, and navigating within the camp was very easy. Site was very clean, level, and some privacy from other sites. (We had an end site.) Electric, Sewer, and Power were good heights. They have a nice spa/Hot tub but no real pool. Fitness center looks nice. Showers and restroom require card access. This camp also caters to Rallies. TV - OTA we got over 30 stations, and Cable worked fine with over 30 stations. The Picnic table was metal and in very good shape. Staff were very nice and helpful. Would stay here again, if in the area. In short this is a well designed and well maintained campground. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Close to I90. Owners are super nice, and escort you to your site. Our pull through was side-by-side with reasonable space and grass between sites. But I wouln'd say it was spacious. Sites were gravel and fairly level. Water and Power were good heights, Sewer was about 4 inches from grown level. There is road and train noise here. Park has some nice trees and has a nice appearance. Restroom were clean and well lit, but you have to walk over grass to get there, and the is no obvious path. No apparent recycling. They do have a good selection of DVD's that one can use. We would stay here again. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bozeman is a wonderful town with lots of shops places to eat and drink. In the summer they have a great "art walk" the second Friday of the month. They have also started a film festival early June. Bridges Brewers has great pizza and beer.

Indian Campground & RV Park, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Very close to I25. Entrance is easy to miss - a concrete driveway between Dash In Restaurant and Roadway Inn. Be careful because much of the town has 30 and 20 MPH restrictions. Very pleasing looking campground. Sites are gravel with tall trees providing shade with no low branches. We had a configured pull through - which could also be two smaller back-ins. Check in was easy and pleasant. We would stay here again. We camped at Indian Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Buffalo is a very cute town. Sports Loure (rented bikes here for the Clear Creek Trail); Occidental Hotel (tours 12-2); Jim Gatchell Museum. Ed's Body Shop did a great job for what we needed. Drive to Ten Sleeps Town (1 hour) which is a nice small old town with a few shops, splash pad, ice cream and merchandise. The drive (Cloud Peak Skyway) crosses a pass at 9,666 feet and has wonderful scenery. For those interested in earth science, there is a series of markers pointing out the nature of the geology of the area, complete with formation names and dates of when those formations were laid down.

Worlds of Fun Village, Kansas City, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Site were level concrete pads on a sloping grassy hill, most have small shrubs that add to privacy. The lot was a nice size and very easy to get into, but the shrubs prevented us from fully extending the awning. Road to pads are very wide and made backing in easy. Each site had a above ground grill and a table that was in very good shape. This Camp ground is right next to Worlds of Fun amusement park. Many roads in Kansas City area are under construction so you may have to be diligent when following instructions. At one of the exits ramps at the end make the second LEFT to World of FUN, and not the one for the Oceans of Fun. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the camp ground is very visually appealing. Showers tended to gather pools of water in front of the shower, have a bench and small shelf (no Hooks) and were well maintained and clean. I almost thought a few sinks didn't have cold water, but if you turn the lever further than you think you should you will get cold water. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

In Kansas City - the WW I and National Monument was very well done. Also Jazz and negro league museum near 14 and Vine is good. We missed going to the Federal reserve museum (M-F). Pool was beautiful lots it was unusually warm almost 100, wish there was more shade near the pool The ponds near the bottom of the park at dusk have a lot of croaking frogs a great entertainment for young folk.

Illinois State Fair Campgrounds, Springfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The camp has a few Restrooms/Shower buildings. The red brick restroom/shower building is is much better shape. Well lit, concrete floors and showers a good size, hooks and bench. Found the water temperature to be a bit too cold. The wooden restroom/shower buildings were poorly lit, have fewer stalls and showers. The showers were very rustic looking so I didn't use these. The entrance to the camp is through Gate 11 which is at the cross of 8th Street and Sangmon Ave. Enter the gate, make a left after the stop sign and go up the hill to the office. Look for a white building on the right. Staff was very polite and helpful. Office opens at 11 am Tues-Sat. Power 30 amp and water connections were fine. Our site was at the top of the hill in a grassy area, lower sites are in a paved parking lot. Our spot was long enough but drops off quickly in the back. We were there on non event days so the CG was almost empty. For Seniors on non event days the $20 fee is WONDERFUL! We camped at Illinois State Fair Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Haven Retreat, Indianapolis, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good campground. Hookups worked fine and are in a good position, although side by side. Gravel Sites are long enough for our 35 foot fifth wheel, but are fairly close to each other. Restrooms/Showers are a good size, in good repair clean and bright. There are only two showers/toilets per gender. Security code needed to get in for after hours (3PM). We arrive during a really heavy downpour that lasted about an hour, our site got pretty wet, but several others had several inches of rain that surrounded their camper. Many big puddles lasted for over a day. Two days latter things were in good shape. We camped at Lake Haven Retreat in a Fifth Wheel.

Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort, South Charleston, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Camp is very visible from main road, coming from the east GPS had us pass the camp and make a U-Turn where the turnabout was wider. Road in is good with some bumps. Restroom requires a code they failed to mention its on the receipt. Good OTA TV reception. Looks like a very nice (pool not open yet). They have 2 shuffle board courts, and mini golf, among other activities. Good percentage of long term seasonal sites. Showers have bench, hooks, door and curtain. Shower hot water has strong sulfur smell, and most toilets have heavy mineral stains. ATT pone worked fine. WiFi was acceptable, till blocked by large RV. We camped at Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Walkabout Camp & RV Park, Woodbine, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to park from 95. Restroom/Showers were in a new building, were clean and well maintained. There could have been an extra bench and/or hooks provided. Camp road is crushed gravel, and in good shape, and a good width. Sites were easy to get into, and were a very good length. Utilities were in the middle. Electric was a little low for preference for my surge protector but worked out fine. Sewer was not threaded but in good shape. Camp has recycling. WiFi was fair at our site, and good at the clubhouse. This camp does a great job with having social activities, and the host were very nice. Out Antenna was able to get over 10 stations and our Google FI, and ATT cell service was good. Pickle ball court is new and is a great addition to the park. Laundry machines (3x washer/Dryer) worked fine. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
