Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on site 227. It was a back in and Marsh Creek ran behind us. The campground was clean. Our site was a nice size. It was quiet and very relaxing. We had w&e. They have 2 dump stations, LP, bathrooms and a laundry room. I did not use any of these. If you have children, they have a pool, putt-putt and a small and very clean arcade room. We did play putt-putt, however did not use the pool. Didn't have the greatest weather. The one day it was nice, we went to Gettysburg Battlefield. We felt it was a great location, not far from Gettysburg Battlefield or Downtown Gettysburg. Some sites are closer together than other sites. They also have double sites you share, where one is a pull through and one a back in. We are going back again this fall. Couldn't get the site we had, however we are getting a corner site and it is another descent sized site. The owners are on site and very nice people. The store has the basic's for everyday use plus gifts and a snack bar. I would recommend staying here. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Gettysburg Battlefield. Do the Auto tour, so you can get out and take pictures whenever you choose to. The bus tour is $35.00 per person and only has one stop to get off. Eisenhowers farm. This can only be reached by a tour bus. It is $9 a person. It was very interesting. If you don't want to cook and want something fast, My Brothers pizza 2 minutes up the road from The campground.
