San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $98.00
Overall Rating:

Pricy for what you get, but being close to San Francisco and to the ocean cost a lot. Our site was Ok but we were crowded by big rigs on both sides.

Going to San Francisco in our toad took a long time, as traffic was horrible every time we went. The weather was sunny but the wind was howling.

Interestedly we stayed at that campground in 2007 and we were able to park right on the cliff's edge with a fantastic unobstructed view of the Pacific ocean. This year, all these spots are gone, the ocean has eroded the cliffs so much that most of them are gone...sad.

We will not go back to this campground. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wytheville KOA, Wytheville, Virginia

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this park. The location is great, tucked away in a quiet area surrounded by trees. Our site was great, easy in and out, very spacious with great power supply.

The staff was friendly. The park immaculate even in December and the cell reception and wifi worked fine. We camped at Wytheville KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We took our 6 year old son to bowl (at the bowling alley located on the premises) for the first time and we all had a blast even the pizza was decent.

Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort), Lebanon, Tennessee

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Full hook up pull through site. Very nice campground in wooded hilly area. Our site was level but our tow dolly and car were on a fairly steep inline. Not too easy to unload and load car... Good power, a bit of far for the sewer line to reach, I needed all 20' of hose. Plenty of room between sites and good area to walk the dogs. Not too convenient to downtown but doable. Street parking in downtown Nashville is hard to find and lots charge a lot of money to park... We camped at Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort) in a Motorhome.

Colorado Springs KOA, Fountain, Colorado

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was under renovation, so it was a little messy, but I won't penalize it for that. Repairs and improvements have to be done sometimes. The office staff was very nice, the day before we were due to leave, someone got hold of our credit card number (not at the campground) and starting making unauthorized charges. our Bank alerted us and overnighted new cards to us. I asked the campground if we could stay past the checking time since FedEx does not deliver until the afternoon. They were very accommodating and as as soon as we got our new cards, we were on our way, a few hours late. Nice folks there. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

Very convenient campground close to the city but set in quiet tree lined park. Big pull through sites, plenty of areas to walk the dogs but a little muddy. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Motorhome.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and clean park. Easy access roads, spotless sites with outdoor carpet making the site very easy to keep clean. Very clean large dog park nearby with interesting decorations made it one of our favorites. Although we weren't a big fan of Reno, we loved this park and would definitively stay there again if we were in the area. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Winnemucca I-80 KOA, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed one night and it was 20 degrees outside so we did not spent a lot of time outdoors. When we arrived we needed propane and the office dispatched a very friendly young man who took good care of us. Despite the cold weather a very nice lady escorted us to our spot and was kind enough to let our 6 year old boy ride with her in her golf cart. Very friendly staff and pull through site. Very conveniently located off the highway made access a breeze. We camped at Winnemucca I-80 KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Cruz Monterey Bay KOA, Watsonville, California

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

Our 6 year old son enjoyed his stay immensely. He loved riding a rented banana bike, playing miniature gold with us and the rock climbing palm trees. He also enjoyed a good time on the big bouncer. The park was very well laid out, easy to maneuver our 40' diesel pusher and our site was large and private. Very nice power supply. We have another reservation for July. We camped at Santa Cruz Monterey Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Salinas / Monterey KOA, Prunedale, California

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground that needs some improvements. Our space was tight for our 40' Class A, but we managed to back it in. The problem was electrical supplies. Luckily we have a Hughes Autoformer and a Progressive Industries 50 amps EMS. Despite having the Autoformer to boost voltage, we saw power drop down to 105 volts. I went to the office after shutting down all power to the rig and they quickly sent an electrician to diagnostic the problem. He was unable to fix the issue and we spent the night without power. It was cold in late November.

In the morning we moved to another location that became available and the management agreed to refund our stay. Nice and friendly management, but watch out for electrical supply in some spots. We camped at Salinas / Monterey KOA in a Motorhome.
