Heritage RV Park, Corning, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We found it a joy to stay here. We need an overnight layover spot between our house and our mom's house in Oregon. It is clean, well maintained, even the permanent resident's sites look good. The lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful. There is grass and plenty of shade trees. There is a nice pet area too. It is fenced in with a smaller fenced in area for smaller dogs. For those who travel with cats there is a completely enclosed area for them with things to climb on and a cat box. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Giant Redwoods RV & Camp, Myers Flat, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull through site and the site was clean and maintained. The campground is right on the river and it was really pretty. We got there after the office closed and we really liked how organized the after hours check in was set up. Pre-made envelopes for each available site. The main reason for only a 7 rating was that it looked like they had a number of permanent residents and those areas looked trashy and it really brought down they whole look of the campground. We camped at Giant Redwoods RV & Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Humboldt Redwoods State Park - Burlington Campground, Weott, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We did not get to stay here because they said our trailer (27' Airstream) was too long. Which is the main reason I wanted to leave this review, because an earlier review, dated May 2017 said they let them stay (they were over 25') and they saw an even longer RV (35'). This was the only reason we attempted to stay here. I did not want someone else to go through what we did.

They had us drive through the campground to pick some spots. There were several that could easily accommodate us. The roads were a little tight for us but we went through the whole campground without a scratch. When we got back to the front where the ranger was that is when they turned us away because they said we were too long.

I am not leaving it a bad review because The place looks awesome. You are right in the heart of the Redwoods, The campground looked clean and we would have loved to stay here. We camped at Humboldt Redwoods State Park - Burlington Campground in a Travel Trailer.

River Park RV Campground, Lompoc, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

If you need somewhere to just park overnight it will do the job. We have stayed here a few times when passing through the area. It is quiet and conveniently located. This time it was trashier. Looks like no one has cleaned up around the sites lately. Also looks like some of the RVrs have been parked here awhile and those sites cluttered up with stuff. We camped at River Park RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Glacier View Campground, Big Pine, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

it is clean and cared for. The caretaker seemed like a nice guy. You are right next to 395 so you do hear the traffic, if that is something that would bother you. It has big shade trees. It turned out a lot nicer than I thought it would be. We camped at Glacier View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

There is the Copper Top BBQ place within walking distance. Very good.
