Walnut Grove Campground, Alfred, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We had one of three pull throughs that overlooked the playground. There are quite a few seasonal campers. It's a nice wooded campground. We were there before Memorial Day so the pool wasn't open and the campground wasn't full. We were there to visit the surrounding area so it served our purposes. Friendly staff and the park is well maintained. Except the bathroom/showers could use an upgrade but they were clean. Two washers and two dryers in the laundry room. $2.00 each. Cable and WiFi both worked well. Took us a couple trys and some boards to get level. We camped at Walnut Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Sagadahoc Bay Campground, Georgetown, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We were in the loop down past the office by the bay. Beautiful view. We had full hook ups. There is a very small beach area, kayaks, and a gazebo. No other amenities. We were the only ones in that area. Early in the season. It was perfect for our purposes. We were there two nights. The road in is a bit narrow. Fortunately we met no one going in or out. Staff was friendly. The grass was high, needed mowing. There is no cable. Verizon phone service is very poor. Their internet worked most of the time. We camped at Sagadahoc Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Skowhegan / Canaan KOA, Canaan, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We just stayed one night on our way through the park had just opened. Friendly staff. We had a pull through that was plenty long. Cable and WiFi worked fine. Looks to be very family friendly. We did not check out any of the amenities except the dog park. It was clean and bigger than most we've seen. About a quarter of the sites are designated "seasonal". But the sites were well kept. We would stay again. We camped at Skowhegan / Canaan KOA in a Motorhome.

Liberty Harbor RV Park, Jersey City, New Jersey

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $108.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said, this is a parking lot. Spaces are very very close but we were able to put our slides out and back in far enough to park the jeep. The staff and security people are friendly and very helpful. Pricey for RV Parking yes. But I doubt you could find any other accommodations this close to NY for 108 per night so I said satisfactory for value. Had to walk over to the walkway by the harbor to find grass for the dog. Not far. No issues with electric. It poured the night we were there so didn't notice any other noise. We were passing through so only there one night. We would go back if/when we want to go into NYC. Easy to get to from 1-78. Used the directions on the website. But their directions for getting to I-95 were crazy. Use your gps leaving. We didn't use the dump or showers or laundry. We camped at Liberty Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lee Hi Campground, Lexington, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

As said previously the campground is behind the Travel Plaza. Check in is at the fuel desk. My husband filled up while I checked in. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's not obvious how to get to the park even with directions we of course went the wrong way. So facing the travel center from the pumps you want to go around the left side of the building past all the trucks. We had the last pull through in the row (47) next to the exit road. We didn't want to unhook the tow but the turn to get on the road was so tight we couldn't do it without unhooking. Spot was not level so we weren't quite level but good enough for one night. Plenty of grass for the dog. No frills but fine for a stopover. There is an IHOP at the Travel Plaza. Noise from the idling trucks at the plaza was not an issue. Hookups were towards the front but we reached them without a problem. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground), Summerton, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were just staying one night. Got a pull thru so we didn't have to unhook. Office staff were friendly and efficient. Sites are close but we had enough room. Very sandy, but it's on a lake so that's to be expected. No issues maneuvering to the site. Internet reached our site but it was slow. Got enough channels with the antenna we didn't bother with dish. Walked to the restaurant for dinner. They had a decent selection and it was good. Looked to have plenty to do for families. Pools, beach, arcade, playground, putt putt, fishing, boating. Plenty of grass for the dog. We would stop again. We camped at Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stopped for one night. Pull through site with room enough for coach and tow. Cable and internet both worked fine. Full hook ups. Friendly staff put us in a spot up front near the dog area and laundry. Small laundry room but very clean and good prices. We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Motorhome.

Elks Lodge #1267 (Members only), Dalton, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night on our way through. Basically a gravel parking lot. As said previously it was weedy. There are 6 sites. 5 30 amp and one 50/30. One site had a huge hole/depression in it. 2 sites were taken by members storing their rvs. We told them about the hole at the lodge and they are going to look at it. Water and power are padlocked. Bartender has the keys. Can't beat the value. The entry/exit is a hard left in. Much easier to go up to the parking lot and turn around. Same when you leave. Everyone at the lodge was very friendly. It is a smoking lodge though. We camped at Elks Lodge #1267 (Members only) in a Motorhome.

I-75 RV Park, Tifton, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great place for an overnight. Full hookups with cable. Also internet but we didn't use it. Pull thru sites so you don't have to unhook. One washer and dryer. One restroom with a toilet and shower. All very clean. Had us call 10 minutes out so staff could meet us and guide us in. Shell travel center across the road with a restaurant. Not a lot of sites so you may want a reservation or get there early. We plan to stop again on our return trip. As others have said, it's easier if you enter thru the second entrance We camped at I-75 RV Park in a Motorhome.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Nice gated park in the heart of New Orleans. Easy walk to Bourbon St, Canal St, bus/trolley stops. But we ubered back after dark. Laundry room was reasonable. Pool area very nice. Wifi worked best in the office area. Cable worked well. Friendly helpful staff. You have to expect traffic noise. It is in the city. There is a park right across the street if you have a dog. Some sites have their own gazebo. Price is high. $100 normally and goes up to 150 per night when the Saints are home. But that's still less than a hotel room. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Movietown RV Park, Canton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

It was good for an overnight. Didn't use the showers but the laundry room was good. Reasonable prices and clean. There is a playground but that's it. Appears to be a lot of residents. Staff was friendly. No cable. But our dish worked. Couldn't get the wifi to work but Verizon cell service worked. Spot was not completely level. Had to put ramps under the back wheels. We would stay again if passing thru. We camped at Movietown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Roadrunner RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull through but to leave the car hooked up you have to pull so far forward on the pad that you need a really long sewer hose. The sewer connection is at the back of the site. And the pads are designed with a spot at the front for your vehicle. We planned to unhook anyhow. Concrete pads with grass between. Cable worked fine. Wifi worked as well as any Park. Road noise didn't bother us. Gps will take you in the old entrance but it worked. Very convenient. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull thru close to the highway but the traffic noise didn't bother us. Grass and small trees. Wifi worked. Verizon cell worked. Cable worked well on higher channels but the lower channels were snowy. Those were the major networks. Don't know if it was related to the bad thunderstorms that were going on. Didn't try the breakfast or pool/spa. Just stopped 1 night but we would stay again. A very nice park. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.
