Missoula KOA, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

They escorted us to the site. The escort didn't like that the passenger side wheels of our tow were on the grass so we had to unhook and repack. Not an issue since we planned to unhook anyhow. Nice site. The campground is very family friendly with lots for kids to do. There was a dog park very close to us. Internet was average. Slow. Cable worked well. We camped at Missoula KOA in a Motorhome.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I had read previous reviews before booking so we knew the campground was between I-90 and a train track. We were in a site on the highway side. We wear earplugs at night so no problem sleeping. The campsites are very close. You share your "front lawn" with your neighbor. We were only staying two nights so we didn't use that area anyhow. Our picnic table was in rough shape. One bench was broken. Looked like they were working on replacing the tables. Owners were very nice. I'm sure they would have replaced it if we asked. We were guided to our spot and she spotted us in perfectly. One dog walking area was right near the playground. It is a sad little playground. The other area you would have to walk through someone's site to get to. Laundry/restroom/ shower building - I could find no walkway to it. We went through an empty site if all sites had been full we would of had to walk thru someone's site. We did tell the owner about that. Laundry was good except there is no table/ counter to fold clothes on. There is an ironing board and big sink. Washers 1.50 and dryers 1.25 for 45 minutes. WiFi worked better than in a lot of places we've stayed. We couldn't get the OTA channels to come in very well but dish worked fine. They do have a container for recycling cans by the garbage cans. Very convenient to downtown Bozeman. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to Palisades Falls. Nice drive to the falls trailhead and then about a mile round trip walk/hike on a paved trail. But it's uphill to the falls.

Hardin KOA, Hardin, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull through with full hookups. Didn't have to unhook. Didn't have a problem with tight turns or branches at our site as a previous reviewer did at their site. Sites are very close on the back side. I could have reached out and touched my neighbors slide. Cable didn't work. Office staff said the service guy has been there twice and hasn't fixed it. I noticed in past reviews it's been out since May. Many of the picnic tables have peeling paint. Small pool and playground. Plenty of area to walk the dog around the surrounding field. Laundry was dated but clean. 2.25 for washer. 0.25 for 6 minutes on a dryer. We camped at Hardin KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull through with plenty of room so we didn't have to unhook. Friendly, efficient staff. A nice park. Nothing close but we were just passing through. Ordered their pizza which they deliver. It was fine. Better than finding something to cook. Plenty of grass to walk the dog and a dog park. Cable worked well and WiFi was ok. We camped at Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA in a Motorhome.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was too short for our 35 foot motor home and toad. The Jeep stuck out in the road. So we had to unhook and park the Jeep parallel to the road. We hadn't planned to unhook the Jeep. The hookups were all at the front. Had to use an extra sewer hose and an extra water hose. Electric just made it fortunately cause we don't have an extension. Cable was awful so we switched to antenna and got plenty of stations. Laundry room had plenty of washers and driers fortunately cause it was busy. $1.50 for a washer. 0.25 for 10 minutes on a dryer. I didn't notice the road noise at night but it was very noticeable in the morning. Good dog walk area. It rained that night so in the morning there were mud puddles/ mud everywhere. We pulled out of the park onto a paved road to hook up the tow. I'm rating my site bad because it was too short and we had to use all our extra hoses to reach the hookups and we were surrounded by mud in the morning. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Minneapolis Southwest KOA, Jordan, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I felt like we were crammed in like sardines. We had a back in site which was long enough for our motor home and Jeep. It didn't rain while we were there fortunately because I could see where it would be a mud hole in the rain. There was enough muddy areas left from previous rains. Entering was tricky. We stopped right in the entry trying to figure out where to go. It was very congested in front of the office area with people and vehicles. One of the staff in a golf cart saw us and took us to our site. He said to get set up and then register. No cable or ota channels. But we managed to find a spot where our dish would work. There are a couple businesses right outside the park that are loud in the morning. They charged $1.00 per day for our dog. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Mohican North Star RV Park, Bowler, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night passing through. As others have said, it's a clean, well maintained park. No amenities. There are port a potties only. Sites are close on the back cause you share a hookup pedestal. But plenty of room on the front. The cable didn't work. We couldn't get any over the air channels and couldn't get satellite due to the trees. Gas station out front with enough room our rig to fill up. You have to go to the hotel front desk to register. There is a bus lane there or there is a vacant lot by the RV Park you can park in and walk over to the hotel. Food at the casino is ok. About what you would expect. Hard to beat $30 for a night. Plus they give you 10 in free play for the casino. Plenty of grass to walk the dog. We camped at Mohican North Star RV Park in a Motorhome.

Munising / Pictured Rocks KOA, Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We had electric only so I think the price is a bit high. But we were happy to get a spot. It was the last site they had when we called. It was a back in, in the wooded area. A little tricky backing in between the trees. No chance of TV or satellite due to the trees. The sites are close and back to back. Staff was friendly and efficient. What they call dog runs aren't really but there are plenty of places to walk the dog. It suited our purposes. We came to sightsee so didn't spend much time at the park. If we came again I'd try for one of the full hook ups out front or a pull through full hook up in the wooded area. We camped at Munising / Pictured Rocks KOA in a Motorhome.

Gaylord KOA, Gaylord, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The pads at the sites are narrow. We parked as far to one side as we could and still our slide opened up against the branches of a pine tree. But we had full hook up with cable. The WiFi worked the best of any park I've been in. They had little towers scattered throughout the park. Very family friendly. Lots for kids to do. Laundry was small but clean. $1.5 for a washer and 1.50 for 50 minutes on the dryer. Enjoyed walking on the hiking/biking trails. We camped at Gaylord KOA in a Motorhome.

Maumee Bay State Park, Oregon, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful park. Our site was paved with bushes/trees are both side so you couldn't see your neighbors. Electric only. They have a water fill station and dump on the way in/out. Plus water spigots scattered throughout. Nice walking/running/biking trails. Friendly, efficient staff. A beach, lodge with restaurant, nature center, golf course. Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort, Geneva, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped one night, just passing through. They put us in a pull through up front which was close to the dog park. There is a large field by the dog park which is good for walking the dog also. Staff was very nice and efficient. It's a large park, full of amenities as other reviews have said. Lots of seasonal sites but very well kept. Large store by the office. We ate at their restaurant and it was good. We would stop again. I rated the value as only satisfactory because they are a bit pricey. And there is no cable. We camped at Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Kanakadea Park, Hornell, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This a county park not an RV park. There are electric hookups only. But there are two water stations for filling your tank and a dump station. We were in a site where the host said to park perpendicular to the lake. The other RVS there were parked parallel to the lake. That's how we ended up cause we couldn't level otherwise. The sites slope down towards the lake. It is in a beautiful spot on a lake. There is boat access to the lake and you can fish. There are picnic pavilions, two playgrounds, a baseball field, basket ball hoop. On one of our walks we found a nature trail through the woods. Doesn't look like it is maintained anymore but it's still walkable and interesting. The host is very friendly but be patient, he's a little slow with the computer. There are three restrooms but only one shower room. Two showers for women and two for men. You push a knob and the water runs for about 20 seconds. So you have to keep pushing the knob. Very annoying. But it's a beautiful, well maintained little park. Very family friendly. We stay here when visiting our daughter. We camped at Kanakadea Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are restaurants and shopping in nearby Hornell. Stony Brook State Park is 20 minutes away. Rochester is an hour north. Corning is 30 minutes. This is the finger lakes region so plenty of vineries. Letchworth State Park is maybe an hour away. It's worth a visit.

Susquehanna Trail Campground, Oneonta, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

There are only two 50 amp sites and very few pull through. We were just passing thru and we did get a pull thru but only 30 amp. Fortunately there was a breeze and the temperature wasn't unbearable with just one ac. The seasonal sites are well kept. Not like some parks I've been in. They have a pool, small playground, pavilion, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes. They do sell propane which isn't shown on their site map and we needed to fill up. Friendly staff. The place could use some paint and repair in places but overall it was fine. Small park. WiFi worked but it was slow so I used my Verizon. We camped at Susquehanna Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Pine Hollow Campground, Laconia, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is truly a campground. Not big rig friendly unless you stay in the field out front. The field only has 15 amp so the staff directed us to a site that had full hookups. We had expected to be in the field and we should have. Tree branches were scraping along the sides and roof as we drove in. Then after two failed attempts to back in to our site we pulled in. Too many close trees to back in and the site was narrow. Hookups were at the back of the site and on the wrong side when you pull in. We had just enough hose and electrical cord. Only 30 amp. It's $45 for electric. $5 more for water & sewer. 3 per night for cable which we couldn't get to work. No satellite. No over air channels. We were just there two nights for a concert so we didn't care. Restrooms and showers were clean. Small laundry. 2 of each. Small pool. Lots of seasonal campers. Very narrow roads, close sites. It was shady and staff was friendly. If we ever come back we'll stay in the field out front even though road noise will be worse. We camped at Pine Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.
