Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice pull thru site! Paved, shaded and level, plus the hook ups were located well. Spotty wi-fi had to go to the nearest rest room or the station to get any internet service. Located close to shopping, sites and restaurants in Page. Very enjoyable stay, did the upper loop of Antelope Canyon and also did Horseshoe Bend, both were GREAT. Going back to do the lower loop in the fall. Get reservations, VERY IMPORTANT, people were getting turned away when we arrived, luckily we had reservations! We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Antelope Canyon is a must see type of attraction and also do Horseshoe Bend, but be prepared to walk a LOT, take lots of water with you. Best restaurant in the town is the Mexican place El Tapatio right on Lake drive, its on the North side of the road. Don't go to the 5th Street Bar!

McDowell Mountain Regional Park, Scottsdale, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed over the weekend and it was very peaceful around the campground. Not too many people there at all, surprising because of all the Snowbirds. Sites are huge and very clean and private with 30 and 50 amp services. Utilities are close and convenient. Easy back in sites, rest rooms conveniently located and always very clean. Satellite service easy to get, very open area with nothing to block the signal. Lots of coyotes at night to listen too and enjoy. My dog wanted to run a play with them, go figure! Camped here in a 5th wheel. We camped at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

In site #60, NOT very level and FULL of black ants. Hookups conveniently located and easy to reach. Also had free dish satellite service so didn't have to pull out the dish! Very dusty (red dirt) every where, no place for the dog! Exterior drives pretty tight but manageable if your careful and go slow. Very dusty and it rained a bit which made it also muddy, our spot was just plain red dirt! I don't think we will stay there again, however while visiting Monument Valley there isn't much else around except for a campground inside Monument Valley, expensive but nice views of the valley. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very scenic campground, right on the Doloris river and in the mountains. Quiet, serene setting with all the comforts of home. Hook ups located well and working! Cell phone service (Verizon) good and wi-fi very strong. Backed into the site which was right on the river (site 22) very pretty! Site was level and very spacious! Also able to get satellite service (dish). FREE firewood so a very nice fire every night and in the morning to take the chill off. Lots of color and beautiful sites to see. Would HIGHLY recommend this campground. Clean rest rooms and friendly staff to assist if there is a need. We camped at Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Just love this campground! Nice, secure, quiet place to spend some quality time. Campsites and huge and well maintained. No sewer hook ups, but has water and electric both 30 and 50 amp. Hookups nicely placed and easy to use. Picnic tables and fire rings at all campsites, we camped site #13 had lots of shade. Camp hosts and park rangers very friendly and helpful. Fishing at the lake is encouraged and bike trails are available also. Lots of places to visit while staying here also, Cottonwood is very close, Jerome is a nice historical place to visit and Sedona is very close also (Red Rocks) country. Would highly recommend this campground. Stayed here in a 34' 5th wheel. Would have given it a 9 if it had sewer hook ups and a 10 if it had cable. However satellite was easy to get set up! We camped at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Heber RV Park, Heber, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given it a higher rating except for the noisy highway right behind out unit. Very clean park, very friendly with lots of small dogs and a great dog area. Clean restrooms but old and only one shower and one bathroom. Friendly hosts and nice for a night or two while exploring the area. Cool temps and lots to see. Plenty of restaurants around the area and very good. Ate at Junes and the Red Onion and both were very good. Would stay again if we could get away from the highway. Hookups were placed right, however sites not real level. We camped at Heber RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited a number lakes in the area and took a long drive up on the rim road which was very rough, but would do it again. Pretty area. Ate at the Red Onion, hamburgers were excellent. Had breakfast at June on the corner of 260 and 277, very good old fashion breakfast. Bring what you need, there is a small grocery store, but very expensive.

Faria Beach Campground, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful park and the views are the most beautiful I've seen. We parked in a full service site with our rear bay window looking out over the ocean, doesn't get much better, view wise that is! Spots are a bit tight and some are very difficult to get into, we have a 34' 5th wheel and had to move the dumpster to get ours backed in. Very easy to use services, water, electric, sewer and cable T.V. Little hamburger shop is the best! Morning barretoes are the best I've ever had and one will feed two normal folks, a must try while staying here. Sunsets are the greatest and watching the whales, dolphins and seals go by is so great. Lots of birds also! Sites are a bit tight and the locals reserve sites by placing a tent on the spot......HATE this process. If you arrive on a Thursday or Friday forget it, the locals have gotten all the good sites, bad practice the county should discontinue this ASAP! First come first serve so get there late afternoon Sunday or early in the week to get a good spot. Don't let anything you what out over night, it will NOT be there in the morning. Lots of transients that will steal anything that isn't nailed down!!! We camped at Faria Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with roomy sites. Everything worked great, lead to my site and settled in for three day stay. All services easy to excess, water, electric and sewer. No cable T.V. but satellite reception worked just fine. I would recommend this campground. Lots to see in the area, convenient to the Grand Canyon and other sites in the area. Williams has some nice restaurants and nice shopping if your interested. We camped at Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Malibu Beach RV Park, Malibu, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with some great views of the Ocean, however a bit pricey for what is available. Very clean and the services (water, electric, sewer) easy to use and convenient. Hosts were very nice and helpful, people friendly enough and lots to do in Malibu, plus you have the Ocean. The first site we had #24 was not very level and we had a rather difficult time getting into it. They moved us to P6 which was a pull thru and that was nice. Sites 18, 17 ,16, 15 ,20, 30, C, D, E ,are nice sites, Sea Food resturant right below the campground is GREAT. We camped at Malibu Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Faria Beach Campground, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground if you love fantastic views and beautiful sunsets. Beach is great at low tide and lots to do and see in the area. If you want a nice spot get there early Sunday or Monday during the months of November thru May. June thru Sept are very difficult months to camp at this campground. Also, keep everything of value locked up at night, if not locked up it will walk away! We loved it and would highly recommend it for a nice relaxing few days. We camped at Faria Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Usery Mountain Regional Park, Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed this campground a lot. Had nice wide spots and was easy to pull into. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Nights were beautiful and we loved all the stars. Close to grocery stores and shopping but yet far enough out, to feel alone in the wilderness. Camp fires were permitted which was great. Lots of rain so foliage was plentiful which was good and bad, the dog was covered in burrs. You pull in through the gate, park, walk back to register and they assign a spot, which is okay. I guess if you know of a spot and it is open you can request it and get it. Nice place and we will return. We camped at Usery Mountain Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground with big sites and pretty well spaced. Some may be a bit difficult for big rigs to get into. Friendly staff and they keep it pretty clean. The town was pretty nice also, although we got here one week too late, everything had closed down and they were getting ready for ski season so we didn't get to ride up to the top of mountain or anything else like that. Would go back again, very relaxing. We camped at Serrano Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice clean and well maintained adult park. Would have gotten a (10) if they provided fire rings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restrooms very clean. We had a pullthrough site and it was great. A little highway noise but not really not that bad. Nice dog walks also. Staff always cleaning something and always willing to stop and talk or assist in any way. Provided coffee and donuts one weekend morning which made it easy to meet some other peopl. Would stay here again. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Catalina State Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Only half the park was open and it was extremely HOT, over 100! Park overun with weeds and not very well maintained. Restrooms were clean and neat. Not much going on during the summer months when the temp is over 100. Will come back in the fall or winter time, might be better then. Lots of shopping around the area and all is new. New large Wal-Mart coming soon. We camped at Catalina State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
