Limon KOA, Limon, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Only act in town, but it was ok for an overnight stay. Site was a pull thru and easy to get to and the utilities were accessible enough also. Satellite easy to set up, no obstructions to speak of. Pizza Hut right down the road, easy walk. Pretty expensive for what you get, but like I said, the only act in town! We camped at Limon KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel, Bernardo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very close to I-25 and therefore lots of traffic noise all night long. Nice pull-thru sites, easy hookups and friendly staff. Thunderstorm that night and it was beautiful! Pet friendly with a dog run for the dog, he loved it, had it all to himself! Nothing else even close, 20 some miles to anything, out in the middle of no where USA. No picnic table, no fire ring just a spot to put the unit for the night. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Man that showed us (took) to our site was very nice and very helpful. The two ladies in the office were not rude, but were not very friendly either. Showed us three different sites, after we chose one they took us to the site and helped us back in. Site was level with sewer, water and electric which were all accessible. Picnic table but no fire pit. Nice, could be a campground with lots of possibilities, has a lake and the river also runs passed it. Over priced for what you get. Don't think we would stay there again. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Not much going on at the campground but Pagosa Springs is a beautiful town in a wonderful setting. We came in on the Eastern side, the Western side is much newer with a Walmart and all sorts of other shops and fast food options. Hwy 84 headed South is a scenic drive but narrow and curves, but the road itself is pretty good.

Van Buren Campground, Van Buren, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very dirty and dusty, difficult to locate your site, hookups were hard to find and only had 30amp. I understand this campground was underwater in the spring, they were charging a bit more to make up for lost revenue due to the flood. Would NOT recommend and will not stay there again. Loud at night our party had some people in tents and they could not get to sleep until the music shut off for the night, which was very late into the night. Police did show up one night and were very nice to the kids in our party but said there was little they could do about the noise. We did float the current river which was great, however we will not stay here again. I understand the campground was flooded out, however to charge $40.00 for the sites was just to much. Don't over charge us, we had nothing to do with the flood. We camped at Van Buren Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park but close to the shooting range so lots of shooting until they closed. Nice park but no rest rooms or showers that I could fine. Staff very friendly and helpful. Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We were put in campsite #24, not the best in the park, not level at all. However there are some really NICE sites and would stay here again, just in a different site. Very nice park, no noise, close to town and Bearazona park, plus close to I-40 and the Grand Canyon. Lots to see and do around the area. We camped at Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Williams close by and Grand Canyon is only 45 min away. The Pine (something) restaurant is very good. Get gas before you get into town, cheaper on the interstate! Flagstaff is also very close and easy to get to on I-40. It rained while we were there but the campground sites and road are gravel so it was not muddy or difficult to navigate. Nice campground!

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice pull thru site! Paved, shaded and level, plus the hook ups were located well. Spotty wi-fi had to go to the nearest rest room or the station to get any internet service. Located close to shopping, sites and restaurants in Page. Very enjoyable stay, did the upper loop of Antelope Canyon and also did Horseshoe Bend, both were GREAT. Going back to do the lower loop in the fall. Get reservations, VERY IMPORTANT, people were getting turned away when we arrived, luckily we had reservations! We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Antelope Canyon is a must see type of attraction and also do Horseshoe Bend, but be prepared to walk a LOT, take lots of water with you. Best restaurant in the town is the Mexican place El Tapatio right on Lake drive, its on the North side of the road. Don't go to the 5th Street Bar!

McDowell Mountain Regional Park, Scottsdale, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed over the weekend and it was very peaceful around the campground. Not too many people there at all, surprising because of all the Snowbirds. Sites are huge and very clean and private with 30 and 50 amp services. Utilities are close and convenient. Easy back in sites, rest rooms conveniently located and always very clean. Satellite service easy to get, very open area with nothing to block the signal. Lots of coyotes at night to listen too and enjoy. My dog wanted to run a play with them, go figure! Camped here in a 5th wheel. We camped at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

In site #60, NOT very level and FULL of black ants. Hookups conveniently located and easy to reach. Also had free dish satellite service so didn't have to pull out the dish! Very dusty (red dirt) every where, no place for the dog! Exterior drives pretty tight but manageable if your careful and go slow. Very dusty and it rained a bit which made it also muddy, our spot was just plain red dirt! I don't think we will stay there again, however while visiting Monument Valley there isn't much else around except for a campground inside Monument Valley, expensive but nice views of the valley. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very scenic campground, right on the Doloris river and in the mountains. Quiet, serene setting with all the comforts of home. Hook ups located well and working! Cell phone service (Verizon) good and wi-fi very strong. Backed into the site which was right on the river (site 22) very pretty! Site was level and very spacious! Also able to get satellite service (dish). FREE firewood so a very nice fire every night and in the morning to take the chill off. Lots of color and beautiful sites to see. Would HIGHLY recommend this campground. Clean rest rooms and friendly staff to assist if there is a need. We camped at Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Just love this campground! Nice, secure, quiet place to spend some quality time. Campsites and huge and well maintained. No sewer hook ups, but has water and electric both 30 and 50 amp. Hookups nicely placed and easy to use. Picnic tables and fire rings at all campsites, we camped site #13 had lots of shade. Camp hosts and park rangers very friendly and helpful. Fishing at the lake is encouraged and bike trails are available also. Lots of places to visit while staying here also, Cottonwood is very close, Jerome is a nice historical place to visit and Sedona is very close also (Red Rocks) country. Would highly recommend this campground. Stayed here in a 34' 5th wheel. Would have given it a 9 if it had sewer hook ups and a 10 if it had cable. However satellite was easy to get set up! We camped at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Heber RV Park, Heber, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given it a higher rating except for the noisy highway right behind out unit. Very clean park, very friendly with lots of small dogs and a great dog area. Clean restrooms but old and only one shower and one bathroom. Friendly hosts and nice for a night or two while exploring the area. Cool temps and lots to see. Plenty of restaurants around the area and very good. Ate at Junes and the Red Onion and both were very good. Would stay again if we could get away from the highway. Hookups were placed right, however sites not real level. We camped at Heber RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We visited a number lakes in the area and took a long drive up on the rim road which was very rough, but would do it again. Pretty area. Ate at the Red Onion, hamburgers were excellent. Had breakfast at June on the corner of 260 and 277, very good old fashion breakfast. Bring what you need, there is a small grocery store, but very expensive.

Faria Beach Campground, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful park and the views are the most beautiful I've seen. We parked in a full service site with our rear bay window looking out over the ocean, doesn't get much better, view wise that is! Spots are a bit tight and some are very difficult to get into, we have a 34' 5th wheel and had to move the dumpster to get ours backed in. Very easy to use services, water, electric, sewer and cable T.V. Little hamburger shop is the best! Morning barretoes are the best I've ever had and one will feed two normal folks, a must try while staying here. Sunsets are the greatest and watching the whales, dolphins and seals go by is so great. Lots of birds also! Sites are a bit tight and the locals reserve sites by placing a tent on the spot......HATE this process. If you arrive on a Thursday or Friday forget it, the locals have gotten all the good sites, bad practice the county should discontinue this ASAP! First come first serve so get there late afternoon Sunday or early in the week to get a good spot. Don't let anything you what out over night, it will NOT be there in the morning. Lots of transients that will steal anything that isn't nailed down!!! We camped at Faria Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
