Cottonwood RV Park, Bluff, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

One night stand sort of place. Owner very helpful and fit us in with NO reservation! One night was enough, nothing in Bluff, UT!! We were just passing through on our way to Colorado. Wish we had pulled a bit further to Blanding, UT about 20 miles down the road. More to offer there! We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ridgway State Park, Ridgway, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park below the dam with full hook ups and lots of space, however very little if any shade! The lake was really low and they could use lots of rain and snow over the winter! Nice park to stay in if visiting Ouray, Silverton and the Durango area. The Million Dollar Highway is a very interesting drive, just take your time to enjoy all the views! Also went up over Lizard Head pass to visit Telluride, Co. Just my opinion of course, but I think Lizard Head is the most beautiful pass in Colorado!! We camped at Ridgway State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rifle Gap State Park - Lakeview Loop, Rifle, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and beautiful area! The campground is very well maintained, clean and all hook ups are easy to use. Would have giving it a 10 however NO shade at all. Sites are large and all utilities are accessible and the sites are easy to pull in to. We were in site #22 in the lakeview loop and loved it. The lake was really low and they really need some rain and LOTS of snow to refill them. Would recommend this park!! Wild life seen every morning and every evening really close to our campsite. One shocker was the additional $7.00 per day for the use of the state park above and beyond the nightly site rental price. Be prepared for the additional cost, however it is good at any State Park in Colorado. I think it was like $70.00 for a entire yearly pass!! We camped at Rifle Gap State Park - Lakeview Loop in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to Carbondale and did the loop by the Fry Pan River to Rudi reservoir and saw some really beautiful color! Hit it just right. Also drove towards Redstone and up the Roaring Fork River which was also very pretty. Did some kayaking in the Rifle Gap reservoir which was really down, but still lots of fun. Plus you MUST go see Rifle Falls, beautiful!!

The Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We like this campground when in the Williams area, one of the nicer ones available, however as stated before a level campsite is difficult to find. The ones in the very back row, lower west end and middle to rows towards the west side are pretty level. Upper ones are not level. The office staff were friendly and helpful and the young man that took us to our site was very nice and helpful. They have lots of rules, but not unrealistic. Most make sense like, speed in the park, noise hours, sewer regulations and the like. I thought they were very nice people, very helpful and respectful. We camped at The Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't eat at Miss Kitty's, it wasn't very good and very expensive. Service was good, food not real good. Lots to see in the area and it is close to the Grand Canyon and to Flagstaff. Bearazona is worth the the visit and take some of the drives suggested in the brochure, very interesting.

Caliente Springs Resort (55+ park), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given it a 10, however we arrived on Thanksgiving Day and there was NO one to assist us, just an envelope with directions to our site. We got there and someone else was all ready in the site we were assigned. We found a vacant site and set up for the night. Next morning we were told we had to move, not what I wanted to hear. Moved to the new site and went to hook up to cable and was told that site was not able to pick up cable since it had not been set up yet. Very frustrating to say the very least. Other than that all was great. Friendly and helpful staff, facilities are great and very friendly people all over the park. Sites fairly level, convenient utilities and the neighbors helped us back our 5ver into the spot! No shade and it was hot in November. Dirt site with concrete patio. Site #205 on the corner. Oh ya, you must use the hot mineral pools while there! The club house is great and offers about anything you would desire. Nice place!! We camped at Caliente Springs Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We would highly recommend the tram ride up the mountain, very interesting and beautiful. Also visited Joshua Tree while there and Whitewater was interesting too. Limon KOA, Limon, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Only act in town, but it was ok for an overnight stay. Site was a pull thru and easy to get to and the utilities were accessible enough also. Satellite easy to set up, no obstructions to speak of. Pizza Hut right down the road, easy walk. Pretty expensive for what you get, but like I said, the only act in town! We camped at Limon KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel, Bernardo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very close to I-25 and therefore lots of traffic noise all night long. Nice pull-thru sites, easy hookups and friendly staff. Thunderstorm that night and it was beautiful! Pet friendly with a dog run for the dog, he loved it, had it all to himself! Nothing else even close, 20 some miles to anything, out in the middle of no where USA. No picnic table, no fire ring just a spot to put the unit for the night. We camped at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Man that showed us (took) to our site was very nice and very helpful. The two ladies in the office were not rude, but were not very friendly either. Showed us three different sites, after we chose one they took us to the site and helped us back in. Site was level with sewer, water and electric which were all accessible. Picnic table but no fire pit. Nice, could be a campground with lots of possibilities, has a lake and the river also runs passed it. Over priced for what you get. Don't think we would stay there again. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Not much going on at the campground but Pagosa Springs is a beautiful town in a wonderful setting. We came in on the Eastern side, the Western side is much newer with a Walmart and all sorts of other shops and fast food options. Hwy 84 headed South is a scenic drive but narrow and curves, but the road itself is pretty good.

Van Buren Campground, Van Buren, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very dirty and dusty, difficult to locate your site, hookups were hard to find and only had 30amp. I understand this campground was underwater in the spring, they were charging a bit more to make up for lost revenue due to the flood. Would NOT recommend and will not stay there again. Loud at night our party had some people in tents and they could not get to sleep until the music shut off for the night, which was very late into the night. Police did show up one night and were very nice to the kids in our party but said there was little they could do about the noise. We did float the current river which was great, however we will not stay here again. I understand the campground was flooded out, however to charge $40.00 for the sites was just to much. Don't over charge us, we had nothing to do with the flood. We camped at Van Buren Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were put in campsite #24, not the best in the park, not level at all. However there are some really NICE sites and would stay here again, just in a different site. Very nice park, no noise, close to town and Bearazona park, plus close to I-40 and the Grand Canyon. Lots to see and do around the area. We camped at The Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Williams close by and Grand Canyon is only 45 min away. The Pine (something) restaurant is very good. Get gas before you get into town, cheaper on the interstate! Flagstaff is also very close and easy to get to on I-40. It rained while we were there but the campground sites and road are gravel so it was not muddy or difficult to navigate. Nice campground!

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice pull thru site! Paved, shaded and level, plus the hook ups were located well. Spotty wi-fi had to go to the nearest rest room or the station to get any internet service. Located close to shopping, sites and restaurants in Page. Very enjoyable stay, did the upper loop of Antelope Canyon and also did Horseshoe Bend, both were GREAT. Going back to do the lower loop in the fall. Get reservations, VERY IMPORTANT, people were getting turned away when we arrived, luckily we had reservations! Overall Rating:

Stayed over the weekend and it was very peaceful around the campground. Not too many people there at all, surprising because of all the Snowbirds. Sites are huge and very clean and private with 30 and 50 amp services. Utilities are close and convenient. Easy back in sites, rest rooms conveniently located and always very clean. Satellite service easy to get, very open area with nothing to block the signal. Lots of coyotes at night to listen too and enjoy. My dog wanted to run a play with them, go figure!
