Napa Valley Expo RV Park, Napa, California

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in here way after hours. Next day I tried to extend my stay, but they could not accommodate me. VERY nice camp host and reservations staff helped me find another campground in the area. Campground is nice with huge sites (just not too many of them), grass, and it was pretty quiet. Concrete site was 70+ feet long and pretty level. GREAT place to stay when in the area. We camped at Napa Valley Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Calistoga RV and Campground, Calistoga, California

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This park is at the fairgrounds. I rented a Premium site (50 amp, pull through) for our 40 foot motorhome. It is mostly a parking lot, but it is a OK place to stay. There was some shade, it was quiet, and close to town. I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area. We camped at Calistoga RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Trade Winds RV Park of Vallejo, Vallejo, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here a couple of times in the last few years and both times were a wonderful experience. The neighborhood looks a little tough and a lot of the campers are contractors working in the refineries close by. During our first visit (new to RVing at that point) we were assisted in backing into a tight spot by the campers next door. Once we got set up, they invited us to experience some Louisiana cooking. We did and had a great time. They were doing some contract work at the refinery and provided GREAT stories over the next few hours. Most recent stay was during the fires in Napa Valley. Again, great neighbors and pretty quiet considering the campground was full and there was a lot of drama with the fire refugees and such. We left a bit early to make room for the evacuees coming in. I could not complete this review without commenting on the lady at the front desk. She was so helpful, always calm, and just an absolutely great representative of the owner's of this campground. Site was very tight for our motorhome with a slide on each side. I would stay here again the next time I am in the area. We camped at Trade Winds RV Park of Vallejo in a Motorhome.

Golden Bear RV Resort, Klamath, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Owners are very nice and helpful. We were able to rent the last space available. The roads are paved and the site was grassy. We were next to the highway, which is the only bad I have to say about this site. There was not a lot of traffic overnight so noise was not bad. Beautiful location on the river. I had internet service through my Verizon hotspot. We camped at Golden Bear RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park situated in the Redwoods. The park itself is open and we were able to use the satellite dish. The sites are relatively wide (we have slides on both sides) and grassy with gravel drives. Staff is very good and helpful. The only drawback here is the phone service is bad. They have a Verizon hotspot you can use if you go stand near it. They have wifi but i did not use it. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cal Expo RV Park, Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is AWESOME!! Staff called us back several times to coordinate the availability of the correct space to accommodate my wife's disability. We needed a level spot so the step into the motorhome was minimal. The site was pretty quiet for being in town and the fair just ending. It is walking/wheelchair distance to shopping and dining. The downside is that there were only 2 working washing machines. Other than that, this place was a GREAT stay. Good staff, good neighbors, and reasonable price. We camped at Cal Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Angels Camp RV & Camping Resort, Angels Camp, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

I work while traveling so I need good internet. Park WIFI was not good in the corner we were in and my Verizon Hotspot was mediocre. Staff said they had good internet at the meeting room in the office, but I did not use it. The sight we had was a back in site in the far corner. Nice site with some trees. Level and the utilities were within easy reach. We were short a table but a call to the office brought an immediate response and a table. Staff was friendly, site was level gravel, neighbors were great. Hard to beat that. We camped at Angels Camp RV & Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Inn Town Campground, Nevada City, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 40 foot motorhome. Finding the park was a bit difficult. It is off the beaten path a bit and it was hard to spot the signs directing us to the park. The park provided directions on the reservation, but street signs in the area are small. The road from the highway to the park is narrow and has some overhanging trees. The CB antenna did not hit any of them but I had venture over the line a couple of times to miss them. The park staff was very friendly and followed up to make sure everything was OK after we had been there for an hour or so. The site was level gravel and a bit tight for the slides, but it was very nice. Surrounded by tall trees and great walking trails. Park has a beautiful pool and other amenities such as communal fire pits dining areas. This is a nice park, but a bit overpriced for an overnight stay in my opinion. It would be a great place to meet friends/family for a few days to explore the area. I should add that the neighbors we had were great people. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Motorhome.

There is a train museum next door. There is a Chinese cemetery close by. The area is full of history of the California Gold Rush. Scenery is gorgeous and the climate is mild. There are cabins on-site and nice meeting places. A good place to spend some time.

We stayed in early May. Not many Motor homes here at all. We were able to pull thru and leave the towed vehicle hooked up. We did not did not use the cable TV because we have a satellite dish. Cedars RV Park, Ferndale, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for a week in a motorhome. This is a nice park with long wide spaces if needed. We are towing a full size pickup and were able to fit it all in the site without unhooking. There is a nice privacy hedge between most sites. We were located near the entrance of the campground and traffic noise was negligible. The back of the park is close to I-5 so it is probably louder back there. The park is well maintained. Our site was mostly gravel with some grass. Other sites are lush grass. It had 50 AMP service and good water pressure. There is an additional charge for cable TV of $18.00 per week. Park said WIFI is available in the clubhouse but not at the sites. I used a Verizon hotspot with pretty good success for business stuff. I did not try to watch any movies. The space (132) was wide enough to put slides out on both side of the motorhome and still park the car alongside. Very nice. Sites are level and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we asked of them. I will definitely stay here next time we are in the area. We camped at Cedars RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fidalgo Bay Resort, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on the waterfront sites. Pull the motor home in and have a majestic view of the bay and Mt. Baker in the distance. Refinery is in the front of the view, but it barely detracts from the awesomeness. Site is a little tight but surrounded by grass. Real green this time of year. Nice playground for the kids and hiking trails. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Columbia Sun RV Resort, Kennewick, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

In early April we stayed at this park for 2 nights. I opted for the paved site this trip, but I did stay on a gravel site last year. Both stays at this park have been great!! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The site is level and very wide. Did I mention it was very clean? It is a new campground. Internet service was pretty good. I also use a Verizon hotspot and that signal was pretty good at this park. Park is about 5 years old and owners said it was designed with the larger RVs in mind. They have a couple of pull through sites that are 115' long. our rig and towed is about 70' and we had plenty of room. A very nice campground and a GREAT place to stay. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.
