Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA, Pomona, California

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: 20 minutes from the gold line, 5 minutes from the metrolink, staff was courteous, Park was clean, many spots for big rigs. I stayed there in December and got a site big enough for my trailer and tow vehicle. Cons: stayed there in January and my spot was only big enough for my trailer and they charged me additional for a parking spot (later refunded by manager when I complained). While staff was courteous, there were no personnel driving around to see what was needed like in so many other parks. There were problems with the plumbing there that week and it smelled awful occasionally. One big flaw was the laundry. For a full big park you need more than 2 working dryers. Staff, again courteous, said that they were to be repaired but nothing happened. We opted for the local laundromat. We probably won't stay there again. We camped at Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sequoia RV Ranch, Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Park was easy to find and navigate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of nice trees and the river borders the park. Some roads are paved, sites are gravel. Some had concrete pads on their sites for a patio. Most did not and were all gravel. Park is quiet, Wifi and cable were basic. Verizon cell was one bar LTE. We camped at Sequoia RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Yosemite West Mariposa KOA, Midpines, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

Park is easy to find, quiet, and clean. The roads were narrow but the big rigs were able to manage OK. You may have to ask a neighbor to move their tow vehicle or toad when leaving. Electrical, water, cable, sewer all worked just fine. We camped at Yosemite West Mariposa KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Willits KOA, Willits, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

This park did not start well with us. We showed up about 11:00 and they informed us that their policy was $10 per hour for early check-in. I felt like they had us over a barrel. Where was I to go for 2 hours? They said it was for the extra work someone would have to do to get it ready. I paid it and was sent to a spot that was not appropriate for my 5th wheel and certainly not clean either. Luckily, one of the staff was nearby and helped me get another site and was better for the RV but again not that clean. The park has more components than any park I have ever been in. Pool, splash park,, kiddie pool, hot tub, mini golf, turtles, petting zoo. ghost town, disc golf. Train station, Lots to do but there are lots of "NO" signs everywhere. I have never seen so much signage in a park. The roads and sites are all gravel and there was quite a bit of trash around my site. As for the early fee...I went back the next day to complain and was eventually told they would give me a refund. When the statement came in it was for half of the early fee. I am not impressed with their customer service or the cleanliness of the park. We camped at Willits KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Park is right off of I5 and nearby truck stops are in operation 24 hours a day. A little noisy on the west side of the park. Park was easy to navigate. I was surprised to see the check in for the office directed you under a porch with a 13'6" clearance. There was only a small sign up high. I saw more than one A/C duct take some punishment as it went under. There is an uncovered driveway you can take if you think fast. The sites were wide enough but not long enough for a 40' trailer and a PU. Sites did not have any grass but lots of dirt that they watered frequently to make mud. Concrete pad was not wide enough for a 5th wheel with slides on both sides and many sites had concrete pavers that previous campers put down to navigate around. There were 3 laundry rooms all clean and fairly priced. You had to use a prepaid card they set up for you. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is new and set up well for big rigs. Lots of room to maneuver, sites were nice and wide too. Grass between each site. Verizon signal was very weak. They had great wifi setup with coupons for a set amount of useage. No restrictions on how you used it. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crescent City / Redwoods KOA, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Just off the highway but not noisy and is close to Crescent City. Staff was friendly and helpful. Delivered our mail/packages to our trailer. Staff fixed my reservation mistake with no trouble. Park was easy to navigate. Tall hedges between several of the sites providing privacy. The neatest thing about the park was the beautiful redwood grove/tent camping area in the rear of the park. I walked through there everyday. We camped at Crescent City / Redwoods KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pheasant Ridge RV Resort, Wilsonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was friendly and helpful. Park was clean, wild blackberries everywhere!!!. Sites seemed to be deisigned right before slideouts were invented, Very narrow and there was not even room for a picnic table. It was also difficult to park our PU on the site with our 40 ft 5th wheel. Biggest problem was the fence posts placed at the exit of about half of the sites to keep vehicles from going on the grass as you leave. I do not want to try that maneuver again. I would not hesitate to stay there if I had a smaller rig. No playground or off-leash dog park either. We camped at Pheasant Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Burlington / Anacortes KOA, Burlington, Washington

Overall Rating:

Exactly as others have described it. Great staff, owners friendly, lots to do on the site for everyone. There were wild blackberries in the rear section we picked. We stayed there a month to visit the area and the location was perfect. Cascade loop, anacortes, Boeing tour, ferry to BC, drive to Vancouver, hiking and biking all possible from here. Close to shopping too. We camped at Burlington / Anacortes KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great location that is close to town. Leave park to the left and you are close to Harbor area. Turn right and you are headed to shopping. Park staff was very nice. Owners did get on some kids for throwing rocks into the driveway. But there was little for them to do there. Sites up the hill are on plateaus so you do not have your neighbors hookups next to your picnic table like on the lower sites like ours was. That is my biggest complaint of the place. Would have liked a off leash dog park too. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Alderwood RV Express, Mead, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was friendly and helpful. Even stopping by a nearby dog groomer and picking up contact info for us just because we inquired about one. The park is beautifully landscaped and clean. The only problem is the width of the sites. The park looks like it was designed before slide outs were prevalent. Several of our slides were in contact with the bushes and we had to duck around the slides on the patio side. I would stay here again We camped at Alderwood RV Express in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is only 5 miles off the highway but might as well 50. No cable, no antenna tv, weak Verizon signal, weak wifi. But this is a place to get away from it all. The park is well kept and staff is very friendly and helpful. Great views in all directions. The only negatives I have are the gravel sites that get muddy when it rains. Shady Acres RV Park & Campground, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I think this park has more trees than any of the other parks in the area. Sites were close but unbearable since ours was staggered to site next door. We were not window to window. Dog park was great. Tv antenna channels were enough to satisfy us. Verizon signal was good. Wifi was satisfactory. My only complaint was that the landscaping could have been better maintained . Green River is not a big town but it has all you need. Grocery, hardware, auto parts, and some nice restaurants. From here we went to Arches National Park, Hiked in Moab, and visited Swayse's beach on the Green river. We could have gone to many more parks if time would have allowed
