Inks Lake State Park, Burnet, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at a cabin on Sunday 4/16/17 - Monday 4/17/17. The locations on the cabins are great and the area is beautiful. I would recommend Cabin 1 or 2 for its location. They have a playground for kids, nearby showers and restrooms, a volleyball net, and lots of space to explore and have fun. We drove to the Devil's waterhole, but did not cross the lake to jump the cliffs. But lots of people were doing it, including small children. Hiking the cliffs are so fun and there are small waterfalls around that area in which you can swim. Do take water shoes and be careful since most rocks on the lake by water falls are very slippery. This was the only down side since it could be dangerous for small kids. We also went swimming with our own tubes and people dis pass by with their pedal boats and canoes. There is lots of areas to go swimming that are low and safe, but remember that it is a lake, so some areas further away are deep. I would definitely go back , but hopefully I will reserve for at least 3 nights to enjoy the park more. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Cabin.
