Grey's Point Camp, Topping, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Grey's Point for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We were very impressed about the fact that they escorted us to our site. We paid for the Super site, which was paved, nicely leveled and easy access to hookups. During the week, when you leave the campground and come back, you have to press a call button at the gatehouse to have someone open the gate to let you back in. It wasn't too bad at first, but we ran into an issue one day where nobody picked up and it went to a voicemail where the mailbox was full. Thankfully an employee was driving around and saw us and helped us to get back in. We loved that they offered golf cart rentals. We drove the golf cart down along the river each day and enjoyed the view. Overall, our experience was good and we look forward to going back again in the future. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Brunswick Family Campground, Brunswick, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

My husband and I had planned to stay here for our first overnight stay in our new 26' TT. The drive to the campground was the first issue we ran across. The roads through town to get to the campground were very narrow and it was hard to make turns at stop lights without running up over curbs. Once we got through town and over the railroad tracks, we went down a very narrow gravel road, pass the sewage treatment plant and arrived at the campground entrance. I will say the lot we attempted to setup at had a very nice view overlooking the river. However, it was an extremely unlevel lot and we did not have very good success trying to setup the camper. After ruining one of our stabilizer jacks, we decided to pack up and go down the road to a different campground. We camped at Brunswick Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
