Dumplin Valley RV, Kodak, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

If you need a place to stay while visiting Knoxville this is it. It's a quiet, clean no frills campground. There were many guests there using the pavilion to play bluegrass music. Quite entertaining. No shade, no picnic tables, no fire rings. A great value where we felt safe and that is the reason for my high rating. Double A Knoxville Smokies baseball team stadium and BassPro is at exit 407. I wouldn't use exit 412 to access this park, road is very narrow. Use exit 407. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Oaks Campground, Manchester, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Perfect for an overnight stay. Off the interstate under the trees, level sites. Welcome rest spot after a long day on the road. I read earlier reviews and it seems they were taken to heart. Pikes of gravel are being worked into the sites, restrooms looked recently painted. Pool was busy. They were having a family reunion and those folks seemed pleased. Sites are very long. We camped at Whispering Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

They really pack you in here, at least the sites I was near. Some of the pull thrus up on the hill near the office looked more spacious. Lots of activities for families on the weekend. Food service on location as well. We camped at Kansas City East / Oak Grove KOA in a Travel Trailer.

One of the more expensive places we've stayed but worth it. Professional staff that is very helpful. Easy to navigate, well kept, beautiful. Right outside the gate to West Yellowstone National Park entrance. Walking distance to downtown. Our 3rd time staying here over the years. Olde Stone Village RV Park, McMinnville, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I didn't give this perk a ten star rating was there isn't any shade. Beautiful park, great access to Portland area. Super clean, neat, beautiful landscaping and water features. Great stay. Coolest picnic tables that convert into benches. We camped at Olde Stone Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Shoreline RV Park, Eureka, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Ok for overnight. Easy to get around on interior roads. All sites paved and mostly level. Staff was courteous. Google maps is wrong - do not go down 7th street. Park can be accessed directly off HWY 101. As mentioned in other review lots of HWY 101 noise. Won't stay here again for that reason. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Redwoods River Resort, Leggett, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Camping under the redwoods is spectacular. 2 trails from the campground down to the Eel River are very strenuous but worth the effort. Wi-fi is fee based. More space between sites then most places we stay. Some effort to level out trailer was required, most spaces seem to have good access and were fairly level. Cell phone coverage with Verizon was 3G. We camped at Redwoods River Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park, Gilroy, California

Well kept, quiet Park. Staff did a great job at providing information and recommendations for the local area. Our site had shade thanks to a large tree. Level concrete pads and hook-ups where they are easy to use. Pet friendly - take you dog to the office for a treat. Only negative - no picnic tables. Great little place to pull off and spend the night. No frills campground. Just the necessities. Being close to truck/travel centers I was worried about noise...unfounded. It was quiet all night.
