Thousand Lakes RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We travel in a 43 foot diesel pusher. Easy to maneuver thru this very pleasant, large but not crowded park, with large grassy areas, large flat gravel pads and roads. Everything works well in this park but the Wi-fi, which is why I could only give a 9. Beautiful large trees are located to provide shade without being too close to rigs. Very nice cabins, tent sites, park store, small pool, group areas, outdoor games. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, clean well laid out park with gravel roads and fairly level lava rock sites. They have a variety of rules including no kids, no open fires, no smoking including in RV. If you can live with the rules, you will enjoy your stay. Wifi and cable are good and included. Located on the edge of Flagstaff with convenient access to town and National Forest. We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Motorhome.

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very impressive, large, new campground with several large loops offering full hookups, pull thru sites, but unfortunately limited Lake Powell views. Asphalt road and many flat concrete sites, were a welcome relief from the spring time wind blown sand. Nicely landscaped with some shade trees. Hookups were nicely set up. Clean electric, good water pressure. Limited wifi, ATT cellular good. Fire pits, grills, picnic table were all serviceable although the fire pit was full of cig butts and lots of dirt, ash. This area is definitely worth a few days or more to explore and enjoy. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located just off 160 and close to MV entrance. We had a nice pull thru site with a great view. Water, electric and sewer were conveniently laid out and reliable. We did have to disconnect our water because of a hard freeze. We were able to reconnect after dawn. No cable, but over the air TV was good. Wi fi was also good. Gravel sites and roads. Site was flat with a wood table. AT&T coverage was weak. We camped at Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mesa Verde Natl Park is where to go, of course. Mancos is a very small town with friendly people, but not many stores.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I and our miniature schnauzer glamped in a 43 foot pusher with tow. We had an incredible pull thru site 30 feet from the river. Idyllic, rustic and scenic. The basics are well done. Good water, power, sewer, cable, and wi-fi. AT&T was OK and Verizon was unavailable (according to a fellow Texan parked nearby). San Juan river setting, cool water, tall trees, small lake, reedy marsh, plenty of trails combine to make a bird-watchers paradise. Gravel roads and sites. Sites are fairly flat with metal picnic table, fire pits and grills. Bathrooms look dated but were clean with quick warm water. Small RV store was well stocked. Owners were friendly, informative and constantly working. I'll come back. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent RV park. Roomy but not spacious sites. No problem maneuvering our 43' foot rig and toad to site. Small table and chairs provided on concrete pad. Rig parking was on reasonably flat gravel. Nicely landscaped and uniquely decorated with many metallic sculptures. Dog park, trails, kitchen, laundry, and other facilities were clean and well maintained. Long time owner is very creative and imaginative. Huge solar field, recycled rain water and other creative features. We stayed three nights. Easy accessibility to highways although entrance was a little tight. Wifi was slow at peak times. No fire ring or grills provided. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Easy accessibility to downtown. Sites were flat, reasonably large and accommodated our 43' rig and toad. No problem maneuvering to sites. Park was very clean, well lighted, with clean grill and table with lights. Water pressure was somewhat low. Nicely landscaped and visually attractive. Very good wi-fi. Reception staff was attentive and knowledgeable about restaurants popular with locals. We camped at Taos Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
