Natural Bridge / Lexington KOA, Natural Bridge, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park, clean with helpful staff. However, it was not big rig friendly. It was a bit of a nail biter navigating around the tight turns, trees and rocks. Our site, although long enough, was not level at all. Steep slope on the passenger side. Had we been staying more than one night, we may not have stayed. In a walk around, it didn't appear any of the sites were level which is unfortunate since the park was nicely maintained. We camped at Natural Bridge / Lexington KOA in a Motorhome.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived it was a ghost town but by late afternoon it was full so best to make reservations. We had one of the sites with a concrete pad which was level and long enough there was no need to unhook toad. Other sites were gravel. Easy big rig access. Bath house and laundry were clean. The sites are close together. Very quiet park. We stayed one night and would return if in the area. We were in a 40 ft motorhome. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pine Mountain RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful campground. Immaculate, helpful staff, spacious concrete drives and site. Easy big rig access and off the main drag so it's very quiet. Verizon worked fine. OK water pressure. We were in a 40 ft motorhome and would stay here again. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

The campground is affiliated with a Mainstay hotel across the street. Although we didn't use it, there is a trolley pick up at the hotel.

Country Acres Campground, Gordonville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 40 ft motorhome. Very wide and easy to navigate roads. Good Verizon signal. We were in site 934 which has poles on exit. Be sure to park a bit more to the right to clear the poles. We didn't and had to maneuver a bit. We had to put cutting boards under rear tires to get level but that worked. Nice staff and quiet area of the park. We would stay there again. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Interlake RV Park, Rhinebeck, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 40 ft motorhome. Just take your time on the roads. They are curvy, rutted with obstacles but can be navigated without incident. The site was easy to back in to and fairly level. Gravel was adequate. A nice feature is a little snack bar and ice cream at the pool. Handy if you don't want to cook. No signal/wifi for Verizon. Faint signal adequate for phone calls near office. We would stay there again. We camped at Interlake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We are in a 40 ft motorhome. Any larger might be a bit difficult to navigate. The owner does a great job guiding people into their sites. It was a clean quiet campground. Cable was good and Verizon worked well. The only negative is that our site, #1, needs more gravel. We had a day of rain and it was very muddy with lots of mud splashing onto the rig and car. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About a 1.5 hr drive to Plymouth-take the back roads, terrible traffic around Boston (about an hr drive). 1 hr drive to Salem and 1/2 hour to Lexington. Great ice cream place about a mile down the road called Kimball's.

Lake Champagne Campground, Randolph Center, Vermont

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very scenic campground nestled in the Green Mountains with a large pond. The site was grass and, of course, it rained quite a bit and we started to sink. Were able to find some flat rocks to place under the jack pads and there was no more problem. There are only a few sites for big rigs. Very quite and peaceful. Verizon was weak but our hotspot worked OK. No cable but good antenna service. We would stay there again. We camped at Lake Champagne Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About a half hour drive to Shelburne, the Shelburne Museum is worthwhile-takes 4-5 hours to see all the buildings. Also a 40 minute drive to the Lake Champlain ferry over to Ausable Chasm.

River Meadow Campground, North Haverhill, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 40 ft motorhome. Our first site, #4 was not level enough for us to get level. However, the campground owner was very helpful and gave us options to choose from. We chose site#2 which was by the river and had no problem leveling. Had a lot of rain and the roads and sites drained well. Scenic half hour drive to Mt Washington. Cable reception was good but Verizon was weak in the entire area. We would stay there again. We camped at River Meadow Campground in a Motorhome.

Barber Homestead Park, Westport, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a 40 ft motorhome. One tight turn that the owner explained how to best navigate, otherwise easy to drive. Very clean, helpful owners. Site was fairly level and noticed the sites were leveled with a grader as people left the park. It's about one half hour drive to Ticonderoga and the ferry. Pretty views on Lake Champlain. Quiet area, no cable but good satellite reception. Verizon hot spot worked well. Would stay here again. We camped at Barber Homestead Park in a Motorhome.

Holiday Park Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 5 nights in a 40 ft motorhome with dinghy. This is a very nice well groomed campground with easy to navigate roads and sites. Level with plenty of gravel. The laundry and bathhouse are very clean. There are plenty of playgrounds for kids and it's on a pretty lake. The only minor drawback is having to turn left onto 31 South as it's a very busy road. We would stay here again. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Elkhart Campground, Elkhart, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 40 ft motorhome with dinghy. The campground was easy to navigate with a nice level pull thru, gravel with surrounding grass. We were in site 412 which was angled to the left. However, if you pull out to the left there was no road so you either needed to pull right or, if no rigs in front of you, pull forward and out. Was a bit quirky. One bathhouse was being remodeled so hopefully the remainder will follow as they are a bit dated. All in all, it was a nice place to stay with the added benefit of multiple businesses for RV repair and restoration. We would stay again but ask for one of the straight pull thru sites. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Johnny Appleseed Campground, Fort Wayne, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 40 ft motorhome with dinghy. The hosts were friendly and helpful. No problem pulling into or out of our site and there was plenty of room for the coach and car. The facilities were clean, site level. There is no sewer hook-up but a honey pot is available if needed for a $10.00 fee as well as a dump station. We did not use either. There is no cable but satellite worked fine for the major networks. Water pressure was good. We stayed here as it was centrally located for visiting family and friends. We would stay again. Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights in a 40 ft motorhome with dinghy. Except that part of the road was being resurfaced it was easy to navigate to our pull-thru site. Concrete pad, plenty of space between sites. There is a nice lounge area & laundry. Added bonus of a selection of shuttles that take you to downtown Nashville at a small cost. Much easier than driving and trying to find parking. We would stay there again. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night in a 40 ft motorhome with dinghy. The roads were easy to navigate as well as pulling into the site. The sites are close but well maintained and level. Louisville South KOA, Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $86.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 40 ft motorhome with a dinghy. We were given a 50 ft site-pull through. There was about an upgrade about 4 ft long that we were afraid we'd bottom out so backed in. There was minimal gravel and it had rained and was a muddy mess. The bathroom/showers were filthy. With a full camp and the rain, the facilities should have been checked multiple times/day. We would not stay there again. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.
