Wolf's Camping Resort, Knox, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This use to be a really nice park. It's still ok, but something is missing. The new owners seem to be raising the prices, and letting things get a little run down. There are a lot of seasonal sites for sale, which means something is up. We camped at Wolf's Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Meadville KOA (Was Brookdale Family Campground), Meadville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this park. The site we were in was really nice and shady. With beautiful cotton trees surrounding it. These little cotton seed were flying around, it was neat to watch. They have a nice store, 7 ponds to fish in, and ducks walking around to feed. The kids rode a train ride and had a blast. The playground was nice. The swings were a little different than normal. If you leave the park and come back after 9pm you have to pay $10 for a security gate key, but you get a refund when you turn it in. We really had a nice time here. We camped at Meadville KOA (Was Brookdale Family Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Mercer / Grove City KOA, Mercer, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed ourselves at this park. They had a really nice pool and store. We stayed at a deluxe site, and it was just beautiful. It had a cement pad, metal table with umbrella, a porch swing, and a fire ring that had a wooden ring bench surrounding it. The fishing creek is a short walk out of the campground, but it was nice too, I caught some of the largest bluegill I've ever seen in my life. It was catch and release, but that was OK. We camped at Mercer / Grove City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pioneer Park Campground, Somerset, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice place, however, we were placed fairly far from the attractions, such as pool, rec hall and etc. We didn't have much shade, thus making our camper pretty hot. The pool was not heated, my child's lips turned blue. So we didn't stay there long. The fishing ponds were not enjoyable either, they charge $12 per adult, for 2 days of fishing. We didn't even get a bite. I didn't see one person catching a fish the whole time we were here. I mean if you are going to charge that much to fish, at least have some fish in the ponds. The fire pits were fairly far from our camper door, which was strange. I noticed several of our neighbors saying the same thing. The fire wood is kind of a rip off, a few small pieces for $2.50. The store was ok. The game room was ok. Laundromat was fairly expensive at $1.50 for a small washing machine load. They charge to use the basketball court and tennis court. Roadways were too narrow, only one way across to where we were. There was country band on Saturday night, which was nice. Lots of geese running around, defecating all over the place. We camped at Pioneer Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Bay Shore Family Campground, Andover, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were disappointed with his park. It was not very child friendly. The pool opened late, then had a 4:00-4:30 break.then it closed at 7pm. It didn't even open until 11am.they had an ok playground, except there was a bee nest in a ride on panda thing that my 3 year old son rode on, kind of scary. There was no store on the site, nor working washer and dryers.the shore near the park looked inviting, but there were so many goose droppings, it was like walking through a gross land mine.it was a nightmare backing our camper into the back in site, the sites in front of us were so close, we thought we were going to hit something. I called the office to ask for directions to local attractions, and the worker could not even tell me where things were located. I asked if there was a laundromat, and she told me to call back in 25 minutes, for the answer. Ugh. It was an OK place, but we were disappointed. We camped at Bay Shore Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We really enjoyed this campground. The managers were really friendly, and helpful. They have a nice store, laundromat, and game room. There was lots to do for the kids. They have a really nice pool that was just the right temperature, and the pool was open most of the day. The fishing pond was great too, we caught about 30 catfish, no joke. There was a walmart nearby, which was also great . A great place ! We camped at Erie KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Wolf's Camping Resort, Knox, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $35.00

We really enjoyed this park. They had a lot of fun activities, crafts, dances on the weekend, movies, fire truck rides, and a fishing pond. They also have a store. It was also nice that the garbage was picked up each day from our campsite. The only thing that wasn't pleasant was actions of some golf cart drivers. We've been to several campgrounds that prohibit the use of golf carts, and this campground would also be nicer without them. All in all, a fun family place. We camped at Wolf's Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
