Manistique Lakeshore Campground, Manistique, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Totally agree with the previous reviews..... beautiful new campsite! A bit pricey, but it is truly spotless, immaculate, well groomed, with level sites. Beautiful views of the lighthouse and breakwaters. We will definitely stay here again if passing through. We camped at Manistique Lakeshore Campground in a Motorhome.

Shawano County Lake Park Campground, Shawano, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful county park. We stayed in lot 44 and had excellent DISH tv service. Verizon cell and internet service also excellent. Quite a few beautiful trees, though, so not all sites would have good reception. We needed 50' electrical cord and 50' water hose to reach the utilities. Site was a level asphalt pad. The boat ramp, beach, and playground looked wonderful, however we didn't use them. Due to off season, the snack bar wasn't open, but looked great. We would definitely stay here again if passing through. We camped at Shawano County Lake Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Full service sites are uncomfortably tight. We chose a site along the edge that just had water and electric, and no other people next to us, so it was tolerable. Grounds are over grown, but a very convenient stop right along 40 and 54. Not bothered by the road noise at all. Owner was very friendly. Lady at check in was pretty rigid. Bathrooms were clean with good water pressure. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Motorhome.

OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Easy on and off the freeway. Basically a big gravel area with tiny sites. The check in lady was very friendly and let us drive around to pick our spot. Sites were very tight and the bathrooms were horrible. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shadow Hills RV Resort, Indio, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Very well maintained park. All of the staff that we met were very friendly. May is certainly not prime time, so the park was pretty empty. Large pool all to myself. Excellent location, just off the freeway. Nice morning shade from a tree. Our site was up against the main road, but still quiet. Bushes between sites helped for privacy. We camped at Shadow Hills RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Foothills West RV Resort (55+ park), Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

A nice park, but mostly full time park models, which were in very good shape and very friendly people. They had a nice small pool, but I didn't have time to use it. We took an end spot, so had nice cacti on the corner. Level spaces, but very tight. We camped at Foothills West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Coconino National Forest, Pinegrove Campground , Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely friendly campground host. Very spacious sites in a beautiful pine forest. This place was a bit out of our way, but really worth it. We rented a car so we could go 2 hours north to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Truly amazing. Stopped at "old town" in Flagstaff and had a fun early dinner at Majerle's. Even with all of the trees, our tv and Verizon WiFi worked great. We camped at Coconino National Forest, Pinegrove Campground in a Motorhome.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Huge RV Park and very tight spaces, but you are in Vegas! Beautiful pool with nice palm trees and landscaping. Our site was level and the shade from the tree was nice, but we had to move within the site to be able to get tv to work. We backed up to the bocci ball courts, so it was really nice not having anyone right behind us. Even with being in a big city and 700+ sites, it was very quiet at night. The laundry facility was nice, and we liked that they enforced the rules to keep the place nice. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A "hidden gem"! One of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Loved all the big rocks around us. The covered picnic tables were really nice and provided needed shade, but it really cooled off in the evening. The person at the entrance gate was super friendly, but it was 'first come, first served', and the lady on the phone was very unfriendly. The first site we tried was so un-level we couldn't stay there. Thankfully there was another one available that did work great. If you want wood for a campfire, be sure to pick it up at the visitor's center before you find your spot. We camped at Valley of Fire State Park in a Motorhome.

North Campground (NPS Campground), Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Sites a bit close and had to use leveling blocks, but very beautiful wooded area. Right on the bike trail, so only a short ride to the rim trail, which is truly wonderful! Once at the trail we left the bikes and walked, but did have some problems with the high altitude. Truly an AMAZING NP, and would love to come back someday. Also, right by the Visitor's center. There was a beautiful paved trail 6 miles north into "town". Ruby's General Store is the place to go.... fun shop. Would have loved to stay longer, but it was cold and rainy. This worked well for us since we have a small dog who could not go on the bus to get around. We camped at North Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Cannonville / Bryce Valley KOA, Cannonville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park with a nice little store. Sites were very tight, but the area was beautiful and we liked that they had fire rings and picnic table. The main reason we stayed here was because we wanted to get into Bryce NP early and they don't take camping reservations. The lower campsites by the office/store/pool were grass, but seemed even tighter, so we moved to the upper gravel area. Not a very level site but it worked OK for us. Friendly staff that showed us to our site. We camped at Cannonville / Bryce Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section), Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this state park. Check in went fine... we had to pay an extra $7 for the park entrance fee, but knew that ahead of time. We purchased 2 bundles of fire wood which were very dry. The sites were very spacious, with low foliage to give privacy between sites. Loved our site, right along the edge, but if the day use area was full, we would have had to look at a lot of parked cars. Each site had a great fire ring, covered picnic table, and beautiful paved pad and pebble sitting area. You could see the freeway and town, but the road noise was very minimal and it was nice to be so close to it. Beautiful area. Could definitely see staying there again. Would love to explore the monument area next time. We camped at James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section) in a Motorhome.

Chief Hosa Lodge & Campground, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful setting, just off of the freeway, but the sites were way too small. We fit fine with our 25' motorhome, but very close to neighbors. Pretty walk to see the Bison, but they weren't there in the morning. They were out in the late afternoon when we pulled in. Staff was very friendly and waiting for us, but the bathrooms were not operable, but they looked nice. We camped at Chief Hosa Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Wallace State Park, Cameron, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this park. We were there before they turned the water on, so didn't use the rest rooms or showers. The campground hosts were very friendly and the redbud trees were in full bloom. Very conveniently just off of the interstate. (I can't remember the exact cost, but it was very reasonable) We camped at Wallace State Park in a Motorhome.
