7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed a week-long stay at 7th Ranch. Easy to find, well marked, lots of room to park when you check-in. Escort to space and someone always asking if they can help you with anything. Terraced hillside with wide roads. Centrally located laundry/showers/restrooms. Small play area for children (never saw anyone using it) and a few cabins. Power and electric worked as they should, sewer was a little 'up hill' so had to be creative. If ever in the area again will stay here for sure! We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearest town for groceries is Hardin about 20 miles north at IGA. Lots of fuel stations and a few restaurants, too. The Little Bighorn National Monument is well worth the time and if you have a Senior Pass, it's FREE.

Indian Creek Campground, Deer Lodge, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights to visit the Old Montana Prison and catch up on laundry. Their laundry was clean and worked well. The campground area is wide open with easy in/easy out spacing with wide roads and decent turns. Fuel station on the road in front of campground. Very nice office folks. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Old Montana Prison is a worth while day trip - wander thru, read up on prison life and the 1959 riot. Lots to see! Be sure to visit the Prison store across the street where you can buy leather goods and braided horsehair tack made by the prisoners. Some very exceptional pieces.

Buffalo KOA , Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to find with well marked entrance. Good space to park while checking in, escorted to space. Hung over my spot front and back but not too bad, so stayed there. Only used electric and it worked fine. Office person was very nice and helpful. Fueling stations with easy access on the road out to I-90. Campground expensive and very tight quarters, but handy if needed. We camped at Buffalo KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain View RV Park & Campground, Sundance, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in/out from I-90, fuel station nearby. Stayed for one night, planned to not have to unhook. Explained the length of my rig and was told, no problem. There was a problem and no other site was available, so I unhooked and dealt with it (< 60' total). Only used electric and it worked fine. I would not stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The drive to Devils Tower is nice through farm land, good road, no road work. The station on the nearby corner was about $.30 per gallon higher for diesel than elsewhere in the area...be aware.

Old West RV Park, Reed Point, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in, easy out off I-90 at Reed Point, MT. Tiny town with old buildings, a tavern with some food within walking distance of park. New owners for the past year and they are very pleasant and helpful. I only hooked up water/electric and both worked fine. They offer cable TV and wireless internet. My gps showed (2) Old West RV parks with different routes. The most direct route goes under an overpass that I fit under without problem, but if you're really tall, call them to ask. Great overnight spot and I'd stay there again. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

River Edge Resort, Alberton, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty setting, lots of trees, spaces are not all in a row. Getting into my spot was easy....getting out was a different story. Could have managed by moving a couple planters and picnic tables so I could swing thru two other spaces, but a very nice camper next to me offered to guide me to back out. Thank You! He'd tried my spot with his Motorhome but couldn't get the 50 amp to work...I couldn't get the 30 amp to work. The next person who came in parallel to me couldn't get his electric to work...so three of us. The office said there was nothing wrong. So, with that, I can not give this park a better rating. The park is for sale and certainly could use some attention. We camped at River Edge Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Kahnderosa River Campground, Cataldo, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice host/owners. Site/park was easy in/easy out, with a little road construction at the I-90 exit. GPS was spot on. As another review mentioned (and I'm glad they did) I had an issue with low voltage - 110 was all I could get at times. Be sure to have a EMS. Didn't hook-up water so I don't know about that. Some sites have sewer hook-ups available, but not all. Big bicycling area, ride from the park! My Verizon jet pack pulled in 2 bars, so was able to check e-mail. My AT&T phone dropped calls with one bar...or none. For one night it was a good place to stop. We camped at Kahnderosa River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Chewelah Golf and Country Club RV Park, Chewelah, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here twice once for a month, once for a week. Used the washer/dryer in the combo shower house and all worked well. Great location if you need to make trips to Colville or Spokane. Park is 3+ miles back a rural road, the golf course has an airport and restaurant, I didn't use either, nor do I golf. For me it was location. All utilities worked well, the sites have a picnic table. The back-in sites have shade trees. The pull thru's have small trees that will provide shade someday. The pull thru's are only pull thru if no one is next to you...if so, then it's a back-in. Go figure. And if you use 30 amp in a pull thru you still have to pay the 50 amp price. Go figure #2. Overall I would stay here again because of the convenient location. We camped at Chewelah Golf and Country Club RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Northeast Washington Fair Grounds, Colville, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 6 nights in a back in, electric only site shaded by large trees. I was allowed to put water into my fresh water tank from the faucets that supply water for the park. Worked fine. Great location for visiting friends/family and/or exploring the area. Nice camp hosts. Gate is closed at 10pm. They provide spots for baseball camps, horse shows, fair, concerts, etc., so be sure to call for availability. We camped at Northeast Washington Fair Grounds in a Travel Trailer.

Very pleasant owners, helpful and kind. Sits right next to Hwy. 93, very busy 24/7 and loud. Was the perfect spot to stay while visiting the National Bison Range. I was lucky to get a space on short notice, so call for reservations if you can. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The National Bison Range is a short drive away. Went early in the morning and saw 60-70 Bison, Elk, Mule Deer, Pronghorn and a coyote. Well worth the trip, was on the Range 5 hours - the entrance cost is $5.

Birdland Bay RV Resort, Thompson Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is with a weekly discount (pay for 6, 7th night is free). Terraced, glad to be shown to the space...would have been lost otherwise. Nice trail to the Clark Fork River that borders the RV park. Very active train track across the road on the back side of the park. My space was on the 'upper' level and the train whistle is loud - got used to it.

Problem with breaker (30 amp) as it kept tripping. The day I left they checked it and....ALL the breakers were broken off in that pedestal. Be sure to use some sort of EMS to protect your rig. The sewer connection in this particular space is up hill. Had to get very creative to be able to use it. We camped at Birdland Bay RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Woodland RV Park, Libby, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed staying at Woodland RV Park. The above rate is approximately the monthly/daily figure. Easy in/easy out, lots of lawn, nice space between sites, shade. Train noise (it's Montana!) but not terrible. They sell propane at the park. Will stay here again. We camped at Woodland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Really loved the Libby area. Great visitors center at Libby Dam, Kootenai River is beautiful. Libby has everything you need including a Ford Dealership that works on many other brands (RAM, Chev, etc.) and did a great job for me on short notice. There are a couple banks, a really nice grocery store, fuel, Ace hardware and a 'must see' sporting goods store. Their heritage museum tells the history of the area displayed with great detail. Don't miss Kootenai Falls.

Medford Oaks RV Park & Campground, Eagle Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty setting with trees, lots of trees. Several difficult narrow turns if you are long. No AT&T coverage (unless you walk to the hill by the road and maneuver to find maybe 1-2 bars). Water/electric but no sewer in my site. They do have their own tank pump they use 2 days a week. Did not do a very good job with my trailer. I will not return to Medford Oaks. Friendly, efficient manager and owner. Well marked on roadway, wide area to get in off Hwy. 97 and then park to register. My site was a pull thru which curved off a main interior roadway. Plenty of room for my 55' overall length. Next time in area this will be my stop. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy to get in/out to the paved road. Very nice manager! The wind was howling during my one night stay but no problems. Power, water, sewer all worked well and the site was fairly level. Not fancy but served the purpose. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
