Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA, Medina, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We treated ourselves to a premium patio site and were not disappointed. The site was very spacious with a concrete pad that leads to a great fire area. We took advantage of the pool and the kids had fun playing in the creek, jumping pad and lake. Many seasonal campers are at this park and with most seasonal sites, some maintain their site and others don't. Overall, the park facilities are clean and there a lot of activities for the kids and adults. A very well run KOA. We camped at Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Hamlin Beach State Park, Hamlin, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Another great NYS Park. Staff was very friendly. Site was very spacious, but was not level and it only had electric hook-ups, but had a bath house near by. Also, water spigots were plentiful through out the loop. The beach was very nice and large. Lake Ontario is a beautiful lake to sit and relax or swim. I did not use the restrooms or showers, but walked in to take a look and they are average at best. We camped at Hamlin Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Lake George RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $98.00
Overall Rating:

I know a lot of RV parks use the term "resort" loosely, but not this park. All RV parks should model themselves after this park. This is truly an RV resort. We had a great time and took advantage of the trolley system, evening entertainment, pickle ball, tennis courts, basketball courts and pools. The only negative is that our site was tight, but we managed. Site surface was gravel and featured a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wellesley Island State Park, Fineview, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fantastic state park. Has all the amenities you need. We stayed in the full hook-up loop and the site was very spacious. Site surface was asphalt and featured a fire ring and picnic table.

Newer camp store with playground was very nice. The beach is adequate and refreshing. The views of the St. Lawrence were amazing. I will be back. We camped at Wellesley Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Frontier Town Family Campground, Berlin, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $126.00
Overall Rating:

An expensive resort with many activities for families. Fun water slides and pool area. Camp store has everything you need and more. Staff was very friendly. We took advantage of the shuttle bus to Ocean City which we enjoyed, but we wish the buses were air conditioned (old school buses) and run more often back and forth. This is a resort campground in a resort area and the price reflects it. We camped at Frontier Town Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Assateague State Park, Berlin, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Fantastic state park very close to the beach. The site was perfectly level and clean. The beach is quiet and relaxing. We saw many ponies on the beach and near our campsite which we enjoyed. No Hook-ups, but it didn't matter as we got up early to watch the sun rise. An awesome state park and very friendly staff. We camped at Assateague State Park in a Motorhome.

Golden Hill State Park, Barker, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

What a gem of a park. Small state park and very quiet even on a holiday weekend. The lighthouse is beautiful and only a $1 to visit. This park is right on Lake Ontario and due to the size of the lake the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. Newer playground and basketball court for the kids. No WiFi and cell phone service is very limited. Highly recommend this state park. We camped at Golden Hill State Park in a Motorhome.

Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $81.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is very clean and well laid out. Large lake to go fishing, kayaking and other activities. Pool and activity center are great with many things to do. The price is quite steep and additional fees are required if you want to use the zip line ($15 / person for 2 times) or laser tag ($15 / person). For a family, this can get quite expensive quickly. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Chautauqua Lake KOA , Dewittville, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $78.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and spacious sites. Disappointed the pool was not opened even though the website says it would be open by Memorial Day (still under construction). A lot of activities for the kids to do. Nice views of the lake, but no lake access from the campsite. I thought the price was high, especially since all the amenities were not available at time of stay. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Canandaigua / Rochester KOA, Farmington, New York

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We traveled to this KOA as we recently purchased our very first RV and wanted to stay close to home to try out all the features and ensure everything work appropriately. We traveled in their off season, so some amenities were not available, but we knew that. They did allow us to play mini golf at no charge and we came to LOVE Shuffleboard. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very welcoming host who immediately told us about the KOA and the upcoming weather issues. His son then showed us to our spot and offered to assist us with our set up since it was our first trip; however, we did want to do it alone as we were still learning. The weather was much more cooperative on Saturday, so we were able to explore the campground more and enjoy some of its features. Sunday was an even better weather day and the hosts graciously allowed us a later check out time to enjoy the grounds and sunshine. We reserved a pull through site with full hookups and all of our specifications were met; however, our one complaint would be that the electrical and water for our site were on the opposite side than our RV, so we were struggling to ensure our hoses and hookups were long enough, as well as find ways to pass them under the RV, which proved a little challenging. Additionally, the hookups were right in the middle of our "free space" and under our awning space, so a bit of a safety/trip hazard. The family who ran the KOA was very friendly and very helpful and we would definitely stay there again ... We camped at Canandaigua / Rochester KOA in a Motorhome.
