Hot Springs National Park KOA, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there in our 41 foot fifth wheel trailer. The park had a moderately steep incline getting to the entrance. Once registering, you are escorted to the lot you are staying. Had cable service, but at the time we were there the Wi-Fi was not working. Close proximity to the historic downtown area of Hot Springs. Well worth visiting. We camped at Hot Springs National Park KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed the Buck House mineral bath package for $71. Well worth the money. You will so relaxed afterwards you don't feel like doing anything else. The downtown area has a lot of stores to visit. The wall murals were really nice. We ate at Granny's restaurant on the main street. Excellent food and service.

Mingo RV Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in our 41 foot Fifth wheeler. Nice park, though a bit packed. It has a nice walking area for dogs along the stream with a dog park also there. I heard that it was in a bad part of Tulsa, but we had no issues nor noticed any problems staying there. They had a large area for washing clothes, with a pool table and an area to relax. When arriving you are escorted to the lot and assisted in getting parked safely. We camped at Mingo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pine Bluff Regional Park, Saracen Trace RV Park, Pine Bluff, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the park after our tow vehicle breakdown. The park attendant was super friendly and accommodating. We very in close proximity to the Arkansas River with grassy fields to roam. Great area for walking dogs. Our lot had only 30amp plug and had to use a dog-bone conversion. No sewer hook-up on site and they allowed running the grey water on site. There was a centralized black water dumping point. Not a lot to see in Pine Bluff, but we did enjoy our visit. We camped at Pine Bluff Regional Park, Saracen Trace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

River Town Campground, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in our 41 foot Fifth Wheel. The park was easy to locate and had spacious lots. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The lots were gravel. The only issues I had with the campground was that it had no WI-Fi working at the time we were there and no cable service. We did get some over the air stations. I ran low on propane and left the empty tank at my lot, when I came back they had refilled the tank and had it placed at my door. You put the garbage out in front of your lot and it is picked up every day. We camped at River Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Foscue Creek COE, Demopolis, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and scenic park. The staff was very friendly and the park was easy to navigate in my 41 foot 5th wheeler. The town of Demopolis is nearby and your able to get supplies if needed. We were parked along the river and it was enjoyable to watch the large river barge passing by. Very few OTA TV stations. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park), Americus, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

I gave this campground an average rating for several reasons. While the park was very nice, the cost was excessive in my view for the services available and I come to expect from KOA. There was no cable and very few over-the air stations you can get. If on one end of the campground the only dumpster is considerably afar. They have a meeting building on the park and the only place you can get Wi-Fi, but not on your parking lots. The city of Americus is about 7 miles away. The staff was friendly and gives a nice packet of local attractions. But with the excessive cost and services offered, this is a park I wouldn't stay again. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Boss's RV Park, Wrens, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The park is in a field and was a bit crowded when we were there. Checking in was easy and the staff was friendly. We were in a pull-through lot that was level. I enjoy using a 120 amp plug, which was not on the power box on my lot. Entry into the park is open and not far from the town of Wrens. I enjoyed my stay here, but I was staying for two nights. No real areas to walk dogs but a road and field nearby did give me a walking area. Nice stop-over park for me. No cable but several over the air stations. Wi-Fi was great. We camped at Boss's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bass Lake RV Campground, Dillon, South Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 33 foot travel trailer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The park is adjacent to I-95 which is noticeable but not overbearing. The park was in a field with no shade, but we stayed in February and needed no shade. There is a lake nearby that offers a lot of places to walk and enjoy the scenery. They have no cable. There are several over the air stations you can get. After leaving you can get to Dillon with no problems so anything you need as far as gas and supplies is nearby. They have a gate that locks in the evening and you need a code to get in and out. The Wi-Fi is fast and works with no issues. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Savannah South KOA, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 33 foot travel trailer. The park was very clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly and wanting to help. The office has a gift shop and is well stocked with RV supplies, snacks and gifts ideas. The park is near a lake that has several majestic swans and geese that are enjoyable to watch. When you arrive, they escort you to the lot. They have a recreation room with a pool and ping pong table. Very easy to get on I-95 and go to Savannah which is a short distance from the park. The Wi-Fi is great and easy to use. Has a dog park and a tract along the lake to walk dogs. I was really impressed by all staff and grounds keepers that went out of their way to greet you and offer to assist. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Eagle's Roost RV Resort, Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 33 foot travel trailer. The lots were paved pull-through. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The park was very well kept and maintained. Walking through the park there are several trees covered with Spanish Moss that give the park a relaxing atmosphere. Many restaurants are nearby. The issues I had was the campground's proximity to I-75 was noticeable but not overbearing. I was disappointed that the campground had no cable but was able to get several over-the air stations. On weekends there is a flea market you can walk to from the campground. A very large flea market and a great way to spend some time. I would stay here again if traveling through the area. We camped at Eagle's Roost RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Emerald Beach RV Park, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Site #49 which was a pull through lot. We had a view of the Gulf from our site. Very clean, and the personnel working at the park were very friendly and service oriented. Anytime you needed assistance, they responded immediately. They have activities going on all the time. The dog park was fantastic. A sandy fenced in area that led into the Gulf, so your dogs have their own beach area. They have another beach area for people. You have Ft Walton Beach just a short distance away, and Pensacola is also nearby. Wal-Mart and Winn Dixie is nearby if groceries are needed. I very much enjoyed my stay here, the only issue I had was that I could not get cable on the TV but did receive several over the air stations. This is a place that while a bit pricey, was a very nice place to stay and with a lot to do in the area. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

New Orleans West KOA, River Ridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Exceptionally personable staff working there, that help you get into your lot. Park was very clean. They have a shuttle bus that takes you to the French Quarter in the morning and picks you up in the evening. They have a dog park in the campground. The staff offers a lot of good information on the attractions and even sells tickets to some of the tours. I really enjoyed my stay there. We camped at New Orleans West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

You can buy a 24 hour street car ticket and ride the street cars as much as you want. A lot of beggars in the French Quarter area, best to just keep walking and ignore them. All meals in the French Quarter are expensive, so be prepared for that.

Kountry Air RV Park, Prattville, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Having left a state park in Selma with disgust, they had a space for me with no reservations. The campground hosts were really great and friendly. They went out of their was to accommodate and make you content. The only issue I had with the park was that I could not get any TV stations besides PBS through my antenna. I wanted to visit Prattville and the hosts gave us maps, and suggestions and they were all great tips. Great place! We camped at Kountry Air RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Paul M. Grist State Park, Selma, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

I was able to make reservations after repeated calls. This indicated to me that no one is there the majority of time. Despite leaving many messages I was never called back. I kept trying and finally got someone. The road to the park was very narrow. I did not see how any RV coming and going could pass on that particular road. That was quite a concern. Then I arrived at the office and no one was there. A note said just find a place and someone would be by to collect the money. I used the restroom at the office and they were very dirty and the toilet didn't flush. The lots seem very close with narrow distances between the lots. It had a beautiful lake nearby but with the entrance in and out being a safety concern, the condition of the office facilities and the lots not being what I found favorable, I turned around and left and found a private campground. I was very disappointed as I had read such favorable reviews. This campground is on my list of places not to return to. We camped at Paul M. Grist State Park in a Travel Trailer.
