Charbonneau Park COE, Burbank, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Our second stay. Well maintained campground with lots of shade. We arrived after the office closed but campground host met us to check us in. We may try one of the electric only sites next time. Some have really nice views. We camped at Charbonneau Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped here for an overnight and wish we could have stayed a little longer. The trail system was very good and our dog was a very happy camper. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sea and Sand RV Park, Depoe Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

We have been visiting Sea and Sand for about ten years now. Always a pleasant stay. Beautiful view of the ocean and a very well maintained facility. However, the street light on the upper tier has been replaced with some kind of ultra bright LED light. Forget stargazing at night if your anywhere near it. This thing could be used as a navigation light for boats operating in the ocean and may well be visible from the space station! We camped at Sea and Sand RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Azalea Campground (NPS Campground), Kings Canyon National Park, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

We originally planned to stay at Lodgepole but opted for this because my Wife had enough of windy roads for the day. We liked it enough that we stayed here for the whole trip. When selecting a site be sure to take a good look around (and up) many trees are dying and are slated to be cut down. (they will have blue spray paint on them) The showers that a previous reviewer spoke of are no longer there. There are showers at Stony Creek seven miles away but didnt use. We camped at Azalea Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

About 30 miles to Lodgepole area in Sequoia. Gas/Fuel available in Stoney creek 7 miles away. Fuel was cash only and not terribly overpriced.

Upper Pines Campground (NPS Campground), Yosemite National Park, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was for a 24 ft trailer. Our 27 ft fit in easily so not sure why they market the sites this way. Bathroom was filthy even though a park employee comes by everyday to clean. The Park Rangers were responsive to our complaints about a group that was noisy after hours and an unleashed German Shepard. We camped at Upper Pines Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Sac West RV Park and Campground, West Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

Price for one night seems kind of high for what you get. Our site was barely big enough to fit without unhitching. Odd setup at some sites where you run the electric and cable under the trailer. Our dog loved the dog run! It was a good sized area where the pup could really get some good exercise. The 24Karat Grill was really good. We had a breakfast burrito and an egg sandwich. (delivered to your site after making the order) We would stay here again when passing though but wish it were a little less expensive. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Moon Mountain RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I had a bad feeling about this place when we found out that the office closes at 3:00pm. Our package was there for us and when we got to the site, one of the permanent residents was parked in our site. With that resolved we pulled in and it was a little smaller than we would have liked. If the office were open we would have asked for another site. We were just staying a night so didn't want to unhitch. Setting up, I couldn't find a cable outlet. Easy to locate at other sites. Took the dog out to do its business at the pet area depicted on the handout. Thought it was easy to find when I got to the place where a 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper with a picture of a dog was. As I was leaving with my dog one of the permanent residents started giving me a bad time about being in that area. As it turns out the paper said that the area was closed. This guy was a real jerk and he got extremely angry when I pointed out the fact that this was the designated place on the map. I don't know how many permanents are here but they definitely are the majority. Perhaps the management here should consider just having permanents. It doesn't matter to us. We won't be back. We camped at Moon Mountain RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Terre Haute KOA, Terre Haute, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Made reservations on the road. Directions we were given was an exit number off the interstate. Usually not a problem but ther are no signs that we saw directing us to the campground. Campground was a half full at best and we were put right next to another rig. Cafe was still open when we got there. Ordered a pizza and it was delivered while we were setting up. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this place. My wife checked us in and was very impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. We needed propane and someone was helping us even before we were finished checking in. Bathrooms and showers were spic and span. Lots of pride by the ownership here. Other places should take note. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We were assigned spot 20. Nice large space. Lots of road noise which was to be expected. At 2amish my wife woke me up thinking we had a sewage problem. Really strong oder in the trailer. As it turns out the wind shifted during the night and there is a cesspool/sewer treatment pond on the other side of the fence behind spots 20 21 and 22. Pretty nasty. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

South Rim (NPS Campground), Black Canyon Gunnison Nat'l Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The pickings were slim when we got here. Loop B has 50 amp and we managed to find a spot although it took a bit of doing to get the trailer in. Very quiet. Many spaces were available in A and C loops late in the evening. We camped at South Rim (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Bathrooms had not been cleaned in days. Sewer hookup was out of reach so needed to backup five feet to dump tanks. (Should have read the reviews!) We ordered takeout from the restaurant in the casino and had one of the best steaks I've had in years. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
