Overall Rating:

Very nice park. We were in site 55 backed up to the 9th hole so had a nice view. The WIFI was better this year than 2 years ago when we were here. Laundry prices were $2.50 for was and $2.50 for dry. Everything was very well kept. We camped at Spokane RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hells Gate State Park, Lewiston, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice park with lots of trees and plenty of half moon pull through. The sites are far apart and the roads are easy to maneuver for big rigs. Even saw deer walk through the loops two nights. We camped at Hells Gate State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The walk to the basalt columns was worthwhile. I had thought we could drive up to see the canyon, but you need to take a half or full day boat trip for that. We did drive as far as we could on Hwy 129 along the river, and that was pretty.

Boardman Marina Park, Boardman, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park right on the Columbia River. We were in site 48 which is one of the circular pull throughs along the road so didn't have great views of the marina or river. There was a high wooden fence between us and the road. Other sites were very spacious. Lots of trains going past close by. Our friends had site 7 and that had great views. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Sage Center in Boardman is a great place to learn about agriculture and industry in the area. The Pendleton Underground Tour is awesome. We drove an hour west on the Washington side of the river to see some of the gorge and Sam Hill's Stonehenge near Maryhill. While there, we noticed Waving Trees Winery just down the hill. What a find! All their reds were delicious, and we had so much fun doing the tasting. Also went to the Discovery Center at the Dalles.

Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort, Sisters, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large park with a pond for fishing in the middle. There is a little farm on one side with some alpacas, sheep, geese and chickens. Everything was very well kept up, and I'm sure it is very busy during the summer. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Roads were asphalt and very wide. It was easy to back into our site. We camped at Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We were surprised at how much there was to see at the Lava Lands Visitor Center. Unfortunately, it was too early to get to the Newberry Volcano due to snow on the road.

Mountain Gate RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice park just north of Redding. It is an easy on/off right on Hwy 99, but there isn't much traffic noise, even in the front of the park. The owner keeps the park very clean, and was very nice. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Shasta Lake Caverns is just up the road. Just a warning, though, that there LOTS of stairs to climb if you want to see all of it. The free Shasta Dam tour was awesome. Also, the Shasta Lake Visitor Center has lots of great information about the lake and Dam. We also drove up to Lassen Volcanic NP from here.

River Reflections RV Park & Campground, Oroville, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice wooded park right on the Feather River. Beware of those trees, though. We were in site 39, which was a pull through with a cement pad to park on. Unfortunately, we weren't warned about the overhanging branch on the utilities side of the pad, so when we pulled in, it scraped the top edge of the fifth wheel, tearing the covering and denting the structure. Stay to the right of the pad if you have a tall rig. Otherwise, the folks that run the park were very nice, as was the park. There are a lot of seasonal worker here working on the Oroville Dam spillway, but all sites were tidy. Wifi was good at this site. Picnic tables need repair or replacement. We camped at River Reflections RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We took the scenic drive on Hwy 70 north to Quincy. The views of the valley and river were spectacular. Then we came back on Hwy 162/Bucks Lake Road. There is a 5 mile section of dirt road, but it was well packed and wide.

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Our rate is based on 2 nights with Passport America and 2 nights with Good Sam discounts. This park was really nice. It was very easy to get to off of Hwy 99, but still quiet. Staff was friendly. Washers were $1.25 and dryers were $1.00. You get a card from the office and put your desired amount on it. When you turn it back in, you get the remaining value and your deposit back. We would stay here again. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the Michael David winery just down the road. The grounds are beautiful, and the tasting is free if you buy a bottle of wine. They make the Seven Deadly Zins and Freakshow reds. Nice place to spend some time outside. They also have a little cafe. The tour of the capitol in Sacramento was very good, and the grounds were beautiful.

Lemon Cove Village RV Park, Lemon Cove, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this park. It is small, and rural, but the sites are nice. Also, it's very easy to get to and close to the entrance to Sequoia National Park and the Mineral King Valley. I think there were more sites with seasonal workers than last year, but everything is well kept. We would stay here again. We camped at Lemon Cove Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

DO NOT take Hwy 245 out of Kings Canyon back to the park. There must've been 300 sharp turns. Take Hwy 63. The Cat Haven Survival Project is just a little way outside the Kings Canyon entrance in Dunlap, and is well worth a stop and a tour.

Pala Casino RV Resort, Pala, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park, and reasonably priced considering the cost of nice parks in San Diego. First of all, our GPS said to get off on Hwy 79 coming from the north, but that will take you through Temecula and onto a very winding mountain road. The website said to take Hwy 76, but when we got off, there were warning signs that rigs over 30' should not go on the road. Go ahead and take it. After the first couple of turns, it was fine. We were in site 27 at the back of the park, so were not bothered at all with the generators in the temporary employee parking lot. Our back window overlooked the farm next to the park, and we enjoyed watching the cattle, horses, geese and chickens. We would definitely stay in this park again. We camped at Pala Casino RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Caliente Springs Resort (55+ park), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

I thought the park was very nice. Most of the RV's were gone for the season, so that section of the park was pretty empty. That helped when backing our 42' fifth wheel over the street curbs into our spot. The pool with varying temps, depending on how close you were to the source of the hot spring, was great. Also has 4 large jacuzzis of varying temps. The permanent sites were well kept. We camped at Caliente Springs Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Ebenezer Park, Rock Hill, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice campground. We camped over a warm, fall weekend and the campground was full. Our initial site was 21, which is near the lake. It was a big, flat pull-through with a picnic table and fire ring. It was quite close to the neighbors on one side. It would've been great for a motor home because the lake is in front of the lot. Because we wanted to stay another night, and booked it late, we had to move to site 36 on Saturday. That site was also big and flat, and even though it was in the woods there was plenty of sunny space. The camp host was great about letting us know when we could get into our next site. There were lots of families here on the weekend, and it seemed like most of them come here often. The lake was just beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rutledge Lake RV Park, Fletcher, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

First of all, if you go to this park, use 125 Jillian Trail for the address instead of 170 Rutledge Rd. After getting the confirmation email with the Jillian Trail address on it, I called the office to double check on the GPS address to use. The gal said to try the Rutledge Road address. Don't do it. That is a dead end street on the other side of the campground. Also, if you get site 11, you should park as close to the cement patio as you can or your tires will be off the ground on one side after you get leveled. The gentleman who parked us failed to make the recommendation. The name of the park would lead you to believe you are on Rutledge Lake, if there is such a lake. However, the lakefront sites you pay extra for are actually on a little retention pond. The laundry room was nice, with several washers and dryers that worked well. The store is well stocked. We were close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and less than 30 minutes from Asheville. We camped at Rutledge Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ocean Waves Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We had 3 rigs traveling together, and were glad we actually got sites together. The park is much smaller than the two down the road, but we were glad for the shelter of the trees that lined the park when the winds were blowing at 40 MPH one night. Bathrooms were bare bones with no outlets, towels, or hand soap. Sites were nicely spaced, with concrete pads. Other local area campers were very friendly. Lots of fishermen staying here. We would recommend this park. We camped at Ocean Waves Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sandy Pond Campground, Plymouth, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this park. Since we went late in the season, it was not crowded or noisy. It was great having the local General Store right at the entrance of the park. The laundry room is tiny, with only a couple of machines and no air conditioning. The pull-through sites were level and well spaced. There was a nice playground for kids. The roads to get to the park are very winding, but manageable for big rigs. We would stay here again. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
