Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort, Empire, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This review is for the RV park. View resort looks like a whole other world. It's the difference between living in an expensive subdivision versus shacktown on wrong side of the tracks. First of all, let me touch on the really good things. The staff is super friendly, accommodating, and kind. The pool area is beautiful. When I called to make reservations for five nights a couple of months ago, I was told that their "new" section was open.Due to some mobility issues and the proximity to the showers, I jumped at the chance. When we were arrived at the park, I was very disappointed to see that the entire new area section is really nothing but cement pads surrounded by sand and dirt. The trees are very sparse, so there's no reason they couldn't plant some grass. Our trailer was filthy from tracking stuff in and out by the end of the first day. I was pretty disappointed to learn that the shower house directly across from our camp area was pretty dirty because of the lack of grass surfaces, so everyone just tracked in all the dirt and it constantly looked gross. As well, only one of the showers in the shower house were in operation. We constantly had to drive to the other side of the park in order to use a handicap shower. I'm assuming all the great reviews for this park are based upon the gated resort area ( that you can't get into unless you have a class a trailer). I wish we would have stayed at one of the state campgrounds, even though we wouldn't have had sewer hook up. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Indian Creek Camp & Conference Center, Tecumseh, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Despite my relatively high marks for this park, the "prime" sites 37-40 need work. While they are level, nice and roomy, they are super muddy and have a marshy, standing water at the back of some of these sites. One can tell that they have recently leveled the sites out and added some gravel, but they are still very muddy. Even in spite of the weekend rain, the site was muddy when we got there. By the end of the weekend the outdoor mat had mud oozing through the top. The non-prime sites, which are covered with grass, fared much better than our premium site. The shower house was very clean, but did lack hooks to hang things on while you showered. The playground was well-kept and featured new equipment. We camped at Indian Creek Camp & Conference Center in a Travel Trailer.
