Oceanside RV Park, Gold Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Its not fancy, but a great place to stay. Stayed here in a Class A Motor home the last week of May 2017. This park is located right on the ocean with river / bay on one other side, and airport behind you. Stayed there for 4 nights and only saw a couple of planes land and they were all small so no noise problem. Spaces were level with Sand, Gravel, and Grass. Had Water and 30 amp power. Voltage was good at 120V steady. Water pressure was also good. Dump station was clean, worked well and had water for flushing. Did not use bath rooms but I saw them being cleaned every day and manager was very fussy about how the place looked so I am sure they were in good condition. Friendly, helpful people. Reasonable rates. Spaces were mostly right next to each other and fairly tight, however if you reserve early or come at the right time some spaces were vary spacious and had bushes and trees between spaces. My Dish worked just fine here. I would stay here again anytime. :) We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Driftwood RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

There are several places to stay in Brookings, and several at the harbor or on the water. The state park is a little cheaper, but limited facilities, The Port's Beach front property sounds good, but you are on a public area with no privacy and any joe blow coming thru the campground all day and night (high probability of theft or damage to your stuff) also very tight spaces. Driftwood RV Park has some tight spaces and some roomy ones. The owner's/ Managers have developed a really nice place here. Little wood deck to socialize on. Gas Fireplaces on them to keep warm. Clean restrooms, Nice Laundry room with reasonable prices, A little cabin/ room for socializing when it is cool out. Great Cable, (my Satellite did not work here but yours might.). Verizon phone service was about 3 bars for me. Also pretty good WIFI, actually better than most. This place is close to everything in the harbor, and Easy to get to shopping, gas, etc. Just have to say again that the ladies that run this place and their staff were just great , Exceeded our expectations 110%. Would stay here again any day. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pomo RV Park & Campground, Fort Bragg, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Park had 30 and 50 amp service, and water / sewer at all the RV sites. Also many tent sites, a meeting hall, large play area. No way to get satellite service here as there are a lot of trees. Cell phone service was very poor also (Verizon). They have Speed bumps, and not small ones, so be prepared for that. Quiet location, adequate space between sites. During prime summer/ fall season be sure to make a reservation.

Nice setting and it shows that they are working on improving or maintaining the park all the time however....

It appears they may have lost the drive/ desire/ strength to work with the public. Made reservations far in advance but when I arrived they had a hard time figuring out my reservation or spot I reserved. Saw them interact with other customers on the phone and during check in, and feel that they are just worn out with this business. I am sure that they have had many, many difficult customers, but they are now at the point where they view everyone with that thought. Negative signs on the walls and in the many rules. They need a break or some new blood in the front office.

Not on my favorites list, but would come back if in the area. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
