Hamilton Branch State Park, Plum Branch, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Modoc Campground provides an ideal environment for camping. No amusement park or arcade. Just a beautiful lakeside setting for the nature-loving camper. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has done a fine job of creating attractive campsites. Most of them are right on the shore of Lake Thurmond. Facilities are spotlessly maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. And surely will return. We camped at Hamilton Branch State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Norris Dam State Park, Norris, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful Tennessee rural setting. I camped in the newer section. More shade there. Though both are attractive. Sites are level and well maintained. Facilities cleaned daily. Friendly and helpful staff. A playground available for children with swings, sand boxes, etc. Interesting museums nearby. We camped at Norris Dam State Park in a Travel Trailer.
