Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Due to our arriving in a snowstorm, our space needed snow removal. It was ready when we arrived, utilities and facilities were all functional as well. Ample staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry and showers were clean. Each shower room was coded access. Park WiFi was a bit slow. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Kansas City East Trailside RV Park, Grain Valley, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice trees. Good internet. Friendly staff. Could be noisy depending on your spot in park. Next to interstate. Maybe half of the sites do not have sewer connection, nor cable TV. No price difference between sites that have sewer connection and those that don't. We camped at Kansas City East Trailside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crowded, urban park, next to I-15. Noisy, noisy. Stayed in overflow on the street since they were full up. Wi-Fi could have been better. Might try another park next trip. Check-in manager did not know hours of Camping World one block away?? We camped at Mountain Shadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park near the interstate. It was noisy due to access road traffic before dark. Evenings were quiet. Wi-Fi could have been better, other utilities were fine. Would stay again. Good value. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice park and convenient to the interstate. Managers were attentive to our extra needs. All utilities worked. Half of the park seemed filled with longer term residents. We camped at Winnemucca / I-80 KOA (formerly I-80 Winnemucca) in a Fifth Wheel.

Hastings Campground, Hastings, Nebraska

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The inside park roads have hundreds of potholes. Few visible improvements have been made in physical property or amenities in three years. It seems the management is content to drain the income provided by long term construction workers and little else. If you like dogs, dog pens, and close spaces, then this is the campground for you. We camped at Hastings Campground in a Motorhome.

Great park, management, & facilities! We have repeatedly stayed and been happy each time. Walking trails, trees, security, & more. Make reservations early as summer and fall fill up. We stayed a month. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Pine Grove RV Park and Campground, Greenwood, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Monthly rate, plus electric, plus pay internet (Nomad ISP). I hate pay internet, it costs too much, has non-responsive tech support, and does not allow higher levels of bandwidth. Nice campground with trees, grass, big spaces, and amenities. Store, bar, pool, & big screen TV. Family owned & run. Slightly noisy next to I-80, especially when the race track up the road is running, sounds like a bunch of lawn mowers. Ha Ha Gladly, it is only during season one or two nights a week. Truck stop, store, restaurant, a couple of gas stations and motel at the I-80 interchange exit #420. There were two incidents where manager was too rude, too strict. I'm all for rules, but not for berating visitors for violating a sign or rule, otherwise friendly and helpful. I'll probably stay again. We camped at Pine Grove RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Grove Campground, Seibert, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Small RV park in small rural town. Owner house-office are located on site. Friendly family. Spaces had mature trees and adequate clearance for my 36 ft. Free Wi-Fi and other utilities were adequate, although I couldn't get cable to work. RV park is about 2 miles from interstate. It was quiet and dark, we slept well. The next morning the local sheriff cruised by. Park is not a destination, but works well for over night next to the interstate. Accepted Passport America with no exceptions. We camped at Shady Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

King's Riverbend Park, Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a clean and secure crushed-rock park. Managers were fastidious and conscientious, if a little/lot overboard when checking in. Free Wi-Fi and the other utilities worked well. We stayed a month and would stay again. Location is central to all the area attractions and close to Montrose. If you want to backup to the river, then this is the place. Great walking and biking trails along the river inter-connecting the city parks. There is no club house or office. Owner has house on site and a park hosts handles most of the tasks. There are about a dozen park model cottages as well. We camped at King's Riverbend Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great little road side city park for over nite stays. Clean, nite lighting, grass and trees, water hydrants, 50 amp elect, dump station, rest rooms, and even showers. Sometimes a bit noisy with highway on one side and railroad behind the grove of trees. There is a 3 day limit, first come first served. We will stop by again. We camped at Karrer City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Caspar Campground, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Large gravel RV park with about 65% long term. Location was easy. It was toward the inside of town, near a park, water, and museum so it was quiet. They required water pressure relief on all hookups! WiFi was an extra cost each day. This I don't appreciate. Worse, the logo of the WiFi provider add the word "free" directly under the logo. I generally avoid cost plus WiFi, but they snared me this time. I would not stop again unless no choice. We camped at Fort Caspar Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
