Mission Bay RV Resort, San Diego, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

This is basically an overpriced parking lot on the bay. The location was great - but there were old broken down RV's parked on the road most of the way in, and De Anza Cove is a depressing ghost town of mobile homes. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the bay and having a place to walk the dog. All of our neighbors were friendly. Not an impressive park - but convenient to Pacific Beach and Mission Bay. The speed bumps in and out of the park are terrible, especially in a Class A motorhome!! We camped at Mission Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cave Creek Regional Park, Cave Creek, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were obviously here in the off-season. No camp host and only an occasional volunteer at the gate. The sites are spacious and you really can't see another camper nearby. It feels very secluded even though you are in the middle of town. It was in the 90's for the 3 weeks we visited and really wished that we had shade! Amazing sunset views and hot air balloons in the morning! Close to Cave Creek which is a cute little town. Enjoyed watching the road runners in the park. My only complaint was that I could not for the life of me find a laundromat nearby! We camped at Cave Creek Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Two Rivers Campground, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 8 nights here - staff was very friendly and helpful. We took the shuttle into Nashville, which was GREAT!! We had some rainy weather while we were there and there were lots of giant pot holes filled with water to navigate. We found a very nice dog park nearby to play with the dog which also had an excellent Greenway path. So much to do and see in Nashville. This park is next door to Yogi Bears Jellystone Park, so you feel like you are parked in a sea of RV's, but it's a convenient location, has grass between the sites, and concrete patios. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice spot near Asheville. We only wish that we visited when everything is green and blooming! It's super convenient to town and nearby attractions like the Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were in a Deluxe site for $50 a night - if you can swing it - go for the premium sites with the concrete pad and beautiful views. Very friendly staff and the sunset views were amazing! Wifi was good, Verizon signal was good. We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived a little late and the office staff stayed to help us get into our space. Pretty level gravel site with nice sunset views. Lots of road noise, but convenient to Moab and lots of hiking. Beautiful views of the red rocks behind the campground. Nicely kept park. No Verizon signal, but we were on vacation so we didn't mind! We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access to the highway, which results in road noise. Nicely kept park with pea gravel sites and gravel roads which can get a bit dusty. The dark area smelled bad and since it is lower than the main park, was too wet to use while we were there. We walked into Old Mellina and visited some of the shops - quaint little town. We also took a trip to White Sands National Monument - a must see if you are in the area! We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Treetops RV Resort, Arlington, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was a beautiful park - lots of full time residents, but they were all very friendly and seemed like a very happy community. Very shady and quiet. Dog area was too small for our active ball dog, but it's nice that they have a spot. We camped at Treetops RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pechanga RV Resort & Casino, Temecula, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Pechanga for three weeks while visiting family in Temecula. We had a great shady spot and had a great time at a concert at the casino. There was lots of construction that started quite early and our neighbor left for work in his diesel truck every morning at 4:30 am, but all in all, we really enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back in the spring. We camped at Pechanga RV Resort & Casino in a Motorhome.

The Mill Casino RV Park, North Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We were able to book this at the last minute which was a life saver for us! We were lucky and got a spot with a little bit of grass, but we backed to the parking lot where there was dry camping and people running generators all night. The casino is on Highway 101 so there is lots of road noise. They did have a nice grassy area where we were able to play with the dog, which is a huge bonus for us. It was fun to checkout the casino - but neither of us like to gamble, so not enticing enough for us to stay there again. We weren't able to get a spot for the last night before our trip, so we dry camped in the parking lot (our first time bookdocking) and it was LOUD! But we survived :) We camped at The Mill Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park, close to Zion National Park. We were only there for 3 nights, and since we were on vacation, we didn't mind the lack of Verizon cell service. The bathrooms are an all-in-one shower and toilet, so it was impossible to use them in the morning (if someone was showering and you needed to use the facilities . .you were out of luck!) Friendly and helpful staff - great place to stay when visiting Zion. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Los Banos West / I-5 KOA , Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight on our drive from Oregon to San Diego. It was a typical KOA, all dirt, close together, and no shade. It was 108 when we arrived an there were warnings about the 50 amp service. The campground was fairly empty but the pool was crowded with families trying to cool off. We were lucky enough to have one of the spots that had a little bit of shade. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

Friendly RV Park, Weed, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here on our drive from Oregon to San Diego. Great little spot to spend a night. We were happy to have a very shady spot since it was over 100 degrees when we arrived. They only offer 30 amp service, so it took a while to cool down the rig. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was very smokey while we were there so we couldn't see Mount Shasta - but there is a view of the mountain from the campground. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Winchester Bay RV Resort, Winchester Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We loved everything about our stay in Winchester Bay. We went to the coast to escape the heat in Portland - so it was nice to be cooler, but there were a couple of days when it was downright COLD! Nice quiet park with level spots, a nice walking path and an easy walk to nearby restaurants. The dunes are nearby, so there are lots of ATV's, but the park required them to push them when in the park. Lots of crabs being cooked too! We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay at Silver Spur - it was conveniently located to town, the falls and the Oregon Garden. There is a great dog park a short drive or walk away from the park. Good cell signal, nice laundry area, friendly service. Our site was level - we just wished the trees were bigger since it was HOT while we were there! Bandon / Port Orford KOA, Langlois, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first stay at a KOA and we were very disappointed. The sites were so close together that we were literally sitting next to our neighbors kitchen window if we sat outside. Our view was of an empty site that was full of debris. It took us quite some time to get our rig level and we had to move it back and forth to find a spot that would work. The map showed a bathroom near us, but in reality it was two outhouses near the dog play area. The dog play area was full of dog poop. It's unfortunate that people do not clean up after their dog, but I think it's important for the dog park to be cleaned so others can use it. It was too small for our 45 pound dog to chase a ball in and mostly dirt, so she was a mess the whole week. The whole park was dirt, so it was hard for all of us not to track it in to the rig. Pros: the location was close to some nice hikes and not too far from Bandon. The staff was very friendly. We camped at Bandon / Port Orford KOA in a Motorhome.
