Joe Wheeler State Park, Rogersville, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, beautiful park. Lots to do; swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, golfing and very nice restaurant. Large shaded full hookup or primitive sites. Large 4 private stalls and 4 private seat bathhouse in each circle of sites. Can see lots of wildlife; deer, turkey and squirrels. Very pet and child friendly. Nice marina and several places to fish from the banks at the Lake. Our site was C009 and was right on the water. Will go back to this one often.. We camped at Joe Wheeler State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Grocery, gas, more restarants, and hardware stores close by. Within 3 miles you can buy fresh fruits and veggies straight off the farm during the growing season from a farmer's yard. Joe Wheeler TVA dam is something to see but leave the camper. Dam road is very narrow for 2 vehicles. Bait stores near.

Overall Rating:

Very quiet, friendly helpful staff. Nice fishing spot. Shade thru out the campground. Very pet friendly. We were 3 lots back from the water on the bay, and still had a nice water view. Nice bath house, laundry area. Great spot for retirees. Very convenient. We camped at Fort Morgan RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Flagler by the Sea Campground, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Great retirement campground. Small close sites but pleasantly right on the ocean. Steps and ramp to the water with nice fish cleaning sink at the ocean front. Very pet friendly. Some sites have a bit of shade. Staff very friendly and helpful. Campers so friendly and felt like family in a matter of days. Except fishing and swimming not much for children to do unless you drive 20+ miles to Daytona for amusement and nice park hiking areas. We camped at Flagler by the Sea Campground in a Travel Trailer.
