Pensacola Beach RV Resort, Gulf Breeze, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the park for 8 days due to having an issue with a slide. We originally had a 7 day trip planned, they allowed us to stay an extra day so we had time to work on it. Great people. I will be staying there again soon. They had a Thanksgiving day meal set up for those who want to participate. The park itself was very clean and organized. One member assisted us in parking or 38 foot class A so we had the best use of the spot. The picnic table was in great condition, electric and water pedestals were very modern, they did a lot of work making this park as up to date as possible. Sprinklers ran some at night so we were told to watch out for our personal stuff so it wouldn't get wet, not a problem. They opened up a TIKI Bar on their beach area on the sound side...what a treat. I highly recommend this park for any age group, it had everything there that we could want. We camped at Pensacola Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you don't mind walking 2 or 3 blocks to see everything, then all you need is yourself while staying here. Sidewalks and crosswalks going across the streets is very good. Enjoy your time there and relax. There is a Tiki Bar on premises, and plenty of restaurants with bars all around, as well as tourist shopping places.

Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

All the spaces are concrete slab, there are a few pull throughs. We had no problems getting in or out, plenty of room for our 38 footer class A. I think they have places where even a 45 foot will easily get in and out, think they try to give you sites that are best fit for your rig. Rest rooms and facilities are very well maintained. There is a playground area set up for smaller children, because its location is near to the road, it is fenced, I would recommend an adult be present for young children. They do have lots of sports equipped areas for older kids and adults, refer to the webpage or brochures. We were not far from oceanside and was just one row of campers between us and it. There are a few sheltered areas also several bathrooms with showers that are cleaned a couple times a day. No issue with anything at this campground other than mother nature could have been kinder, lots of winds and fairly rough surf etc, lots of folks had their surfboards out and most people were staying in there chairs and blankets on the nice sandy beaches, a few ventured into the water for fun, it wasn't all that bad. I will probably go there again if we venture out to Hatteras. I would have felt better about it if the price per day had been just a little cheaper. 99 a day, (with a veterans discount?), could nearly have paid for a condo out there. 80 would have been more acceptable. Only bad thing about the site overall was the little round burs that will stick to your feet and are pretty painful, please wear some kind of flipfliops or sandals while in the grassy areas of the spaces.

Try to get a space close to the office if you want good wifi or else it'll be like 25% of the time near the middle or oceanfront. Don't expect the data rate to be good enough to watch videos. They have a section on the sound side of the highway 12. If you want more peaceful waters to play in we were there. We camped at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.
