Ocean View Resort Campground, Ocean View, New Jersey

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Huge place! Campsite was long, but not wide. We were between seasonals with solid structures and large decks. It was pretty claustrophobic. Most of the place is seasonals who have been here years and know each other. Everyone was friendly enough but it had a mobile home park feel of the place. The road to the site is very narrow and winding. Very difficult to maneuver in a motorhome. The "lake" consists of an area that was dug out and filled with water. They did have a lot of sand for the kids to enjoy. Large camp store and lots of activities for the kids. Will go somewhere else next time. We camped at Ocean View Resort Campground in a Motorhome.

Long Beach RV Resort, Barnegat, New Jersey

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful campsite. Very clean and well maintained. There aren't many transient sites, mostly seasonal, but the seasonals are in a section by themselves, with a carded gate entry. All of us transients are together, which is great because you don't have to deal with all of the sheds, decks and fences the seasonals put up.

The staff was accommodating and friendly, especially when we wanted to stay a few hours longer to go to Long Beach Island. It's a short trip to LBI. The site is large with brush in the back. Only 30 amp, and we blew a circuit with our 2 air conditioners. First time this happened at any campground, but the staff came right out and reset the circuit breaker.

You have to back into the dump station, but they have a pump out person that comes around every day. Swimming pool and putt putt. The putt putt needs some work, but it was fine for us to play and spend some time. Will defintely go back! We camped at Long Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Camp Taylor Campground, Columbia, New Jersey

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Campground with a lot of private wooded lots - electric and water only. We have a 34 foot motorhome, and didn't have a problem, but it may be for the bigger rigs. You must use the directions on the website - the GPS will lead you on a VERY hilly road that will be a problem with your camper. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's deceiving but this is a big place. It has a small pond that you can go swimming, canoeing and paddleboating. The one strange thing is that this is bear country, but yet they have regular trash cans at each site. They are not bear proof. We didn't see the trash cans knocked over, but there are many reviews to the contrary. They should consider the safety of their guests. We did see a bear ambling across the woods when we first got there, but that was it. The campground borders on the Lakota Wolf Preserve - a wonderful place to visit while there. Will definitely be back. We camped at Camp Taylor Campground in a Motorhome.
