Orange City RV Resort, Orange City, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on Walnut Village Street site 2360. This street is next to a very busy main road. In all of our cross-country trips this is one of the loudest parks we've ever stayed at. Jets, ambulances, concrete Mack trucks, noisey motorcycles at all hours of the night and daily dumpster emptying. We stayed the very long sleepless month because of the lack of availability in Volusia County during winter months and its close proximity to family. The sites on our side of the park are old mobile home set ups so sewer connections, water and electric are at the very back of the narrow site. Our water didn't reach and sewer barely reached and pipe was out of the ground so very difficult to dump without physical assistance. Bathrooms had moldy curtains and floors in shower areas, frequently out of toilet paper and paper towels. The only plusses were the fitness center and laundry room. We camped at Orange City RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Crazy Horse Campground, Littleton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Our favorite thing about the campground was its location. Close to downtown Littleton, hiking, waterfalls and Vermont's bike trails. Bathrooms were old, weathered and need remodelling. Coin operated showers were ridiculous; haven't seen this before at a private campground. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Mill Creek Camping COE, Berlin Center, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

COE parks are some of our favorites but not this one. We arrived for a two night stay and noticed a large "No Refunds" sign at check in area and should have been a warning for upcoming conditions. We were in the Hickory Loop site 12. Electric box had duct tape over 50 amp outlets and water was nowhere to be found. Walked to restrooms and saw three portable toilets outside restroom building. Inside was a very dirty, buggy and outdated restrooms. Looking for the shower building, we unfortunately found another disgusting restroom, worse than the hickory ones, in the aspen loop. Bugs were harassing us the whole way but finally found the shower building. A clean building but only scalding hot water available for both men's and women's showers. Also water smelled bad and not drinkable. We camped at Mill Creek Camping COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Clifty Falls State Park, Madison, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived on a Sunday for a two night stay and had to pay $9.00 entrance fee after we paid about $30.00 a night on reserveamerica.com. The park is beautiful but were informed that the waterfalls weren't running since they need rain. Our site was level but next to a dumpster. We were also informed that we needed to fill our tanks with water since no water is at our site. The restroom/showers were very outdated, buggy, moldy and dirty. The showers and sinks had a system were you had to continually hit the button for water to come out. Shower had no hot or cold options. We rode our bikes to pool area and sign stated $3.00 per person. This park really nickels and dimes you everywhere. We liked the wildlife and enjoyed the fire flies in the evening. We camped at Clifty Falls State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
