About BrianStacifulltimers

We have been full time since 2014. Our goal is to complete the visiting of the lower 48 in 2017. We have a Columbus 40ft 5th wheel and a Ram 3500 dually. We love the RV lifestyle and have no intention of returning to traditional ways

Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park), Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

New owners have just begun a rebuild of the park. They have their work cut out for them! There are many full time units. The long term units are run down and should be addressed. The park is a bit hard to find and the tips on their website get you close enough to see it. We stayed her for a night and it was fine. We camped at Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is the biggest and best park we have ever been in. There are 1600 spots of which about 250 are RV spots and the rest seasonal. There is EVERYTHING here. About 300 planned activities per month, There is a health clinic, spa, message, wood shop, wood, burning, resteraunt, bar, store, stained glass shop and more!!!!! The sites are back in but you can pull through if they are not booked. Verizon cell is good and satellite easy to set up. We will definatly re-visit the park! We camped at Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a bit out of the way but its quiet. There are many returning seasonal patrons to the park. The clientel is a bit older but all very friendly. There is a nice pool and plenty of things to do. We used verizon cell with no trouble and satellite was easy to hook up. We camped at Colorado River Adventures / Yuma Lakes Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wine Country RV Resort, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

This park misses the mark. Located in Paso and the heart of wine country. You would think they would push wine and the area. The park has 2 exceptiional club houses that are not used. An outside stage area not used. An outside bar that is not used. A staff that is not trained or understand business. The park misses the mark by not using ANY of their assets. The premium area was nearly empty and you would think they would offer an upgrade from deluxe or regular sites but they missed that. We camped at Wine Country RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bass Lake RV Resort, Bass Lake, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Park is being worked on. Many trees removed and new vegitatian planted. The park is in good overall shape. Interior roads are paved and pretty well marked. The park is on a hill side and the interior roads are steep. If you are in the winter season: a small snowfall and you will be stuck! The park is quiet and does not have a view or easy lake access. Park wifi was junk. Verizon cell 3 bars and ok. Easy satellite set up. We camped at Bass Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tahoe Valley RV Resort, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a pull through site. Park is good sized with over 400 spots. Many look to be water and elecrric only. The park is off the main road and pretty quiet. The park is heavily treed and most sites will not get satellite. Verizon cell phone is ok at 3 bars. Thousand Trails has an Encore park upgrade to most memberships for $199 that will cut the cost of the park by half. We camped at Tahoe Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Winnemucca RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $4.00
Overall Rating:

Park is a big parking lot with a few scattered trees. All sites are pull thrus and are easy to set up. The location is just off interstate 80 and half way between Reno NV and Salt Lake City, Utah. Park staff is small but friendly and efficient. Verizon Cell is ok and Satellite TV easy to set up. Stayed a week and would again. We camped at Winnemucca RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was well layed out with the longer stays in the back further from the road. Park is close to the road but the noise level is not to bad. Grocery and supplies are ample and close by. Campground WIFI was not good. Verizon service was fine. Satellite was easy to hook up. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Large Park with a good mixture of treed and open sites. The upper level has good verizon cell service and easy satellite hook up. Park is close to the highway so there is significant vehicle noise. Park has some deferred maintenance and could use some TLC. We camped at Colorado Heights Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Forest Hills RV & Golf Resort, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a campground but a seasonal or permenant park. 95% of the spots are occupied. The office is hidden in the back of a parking lot with no signage to tell you where to go. No real service for visitors you need to figure out what to do on your own. Park is big and nicely taken care of. Amenities are well kept and far from the sites. Some folks will have to drive to office or pool. Very quiet area with no noise. No WIFI or TV. Verizon cell was great and satellite was easy to set up. Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a unique place. It is a working bison, cattle and other animals ranch. SItes are close together. Park is all dirt and has plenty of flies... Close to the main road so there is a lot of truck noise. Park is run down and needs a lot of TLC. There are many seasonal rigs and messy sites. There is a resteraunt (Senator) or site that has some interesting food choices all not bad quality or price. Significant sized camp store. Park wifi did not work. Verizon cell service was fine. Satellite tv was easy to hook up. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

This appears to be an overnight stop for most. We stayed for a week and quickly ran out of things to do. The park is older with all gravel roads and sites. The sites are close together but not unbearable. It is a small park with about 50 sites so call ahead or have reservations it filled up often. Park wifi did not work. Verizon cell service 3 bars. Satellite TV was easy to set up. There is a grocery, fuel and restaurants close by. Park was quiet even though not far from road. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We visited off season and all amenities were closed. Small park with gravel roads. Sites were tight but not awful. You do get some cow smells from the field next door and across the street. Route 93 is only feet away so there is significant road noise!!! Wifi was barely usable but on site. Tv on site did not work. Verizon cell service was 2 bars and ok. Most sites could get satellite TV. We camped at Twin Falls / Jerome KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Chetek River Campground, Chetek, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground. Many of the sites are seasonal or permanent. We had reserved an FHU 50 amp arrived to get a 30 Amp electric and water site. Campground charged us $10 for the honey wagon... Roads are very tight and difficult to maneuver. Dump station is at a drive-in and not exit so you have to drive through the entire park to dump. Park is quiet and remote with no noise. Wifi really does not work. Verizon cell was 3 bars and a satellite was easy to set up. Most spots are tree lined so a fixed dish may be a problem. Remote campground so bring in what you may need. A quiet place with no trains or road noise. We camped at Chetek River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
