Washington DC / Capitol KOA, Millersville, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very helpful and took us to our site. We stayed 7 nights and drove to New Carrolton station and caught the metro downtown Washington most days so never used any other facilities. Never used their shuttle. Quite east to do. Wifi was typical some times there but mostly not. No cable. We camped at Washington DC / Capitol KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The old town trolley would be good if you rode the circle first before getting off otherwise catch the meteo and and a taxi. Arrington Cemetery is easy by metro. The Chesepiooc Real Ale is the closest Brewery. Annapolis is lovely. All the Smithsonian are free. A week here was not enough time. When to a concert at the Merryweather Post Pavilion so check it out for who in performing. Great free parking comes with ticket. Arrive early and have dinner at The Curred within walking distance.

Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina, Cropwell, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Wifi was one of the better ones. Nice level sight. A quiet camp. Roads were easy to get around on. Laundry was the most expensive ever at $3.50 a load in brand new machines. Dryer $1.00 for 16 minutes. This campground is 18 miles from the speedway - no traffic using the back way but we went early. The Dega Brewhouse was nice place to have a drink in Talladega. A beautiful view above all of the lake. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Travelled to Jeky Island on the coast and walked the driftwood beach. Drove around the hertiage city and bough sweets at their candy store. Had beautiful shrimp at the village market place for lunch.

Very tired looking campground. Our site was appropriately spaced. Wifi was really slow and only 2 devices per site. Staff were very helpful. Don't arrive early as they may charge you. Laundry is only half working with half of everything broken. I would stay again if I was in the area. It was quite. Had a turtle that you could feed. The buildings were old. We camped at Davie / Ft. Travel around the loop from 4pm to see all the birds. Went on speedy airboats in Everglades city for a different ride. Went to Shark Valley in the Everglades and road the tram. If you can bike around you will see more. Just walking a mile we saw more than on the tram. The tram frighten everthing away so all the birds flew away. The Aligators were still there.
