Lakeview Campground USFS, Sierra Vista, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Lakeview Campground has tent and RV sites, some large enough for big rigs. All sites are first come first served. Weekdays are not an issue to secure a site. Out of the way campground overlooks 132 acre lake with store, marina, boat rentals and docks. 14 day stay limit. Very quiet and peaceful. 50 mile drive south of Interstate 10 can be a bit rough although it is paved the entire way. Search the different routes, as there are a few. Had a wonderful stay for 3 days before Memorial Weekend. We camped at Lakeview Campground USFS in a Motorhome.

Fletcher View Campground, Humboldt-Toiyabe NF, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Great stay with 30 or 50 amp electrical hookups at your site, flush toilets and drinking water spigots here and there. We stayed in site #8 in 30' MH with a toad, which was an awesome site. Information on other sites: #1 first site in across from campground host, #2 double occupancy site, #3 short driveway, #4 nice site with views but close to bathrooms, #5 privacy trees/bushes and close tent pad for families with RV/Trailer and tent for the kids, #6 and #7 short driveways, #8 the best by far, #9 good site, #10 double occupancy site and #11 end of the road somewhat unlevel driveway. Half the sites are reservable and the others are first come first served. We stayed for 4 nights during a small snowstorm the last weekend in April 2018. Campground hosts Bob and Liz were great!!! We camped at Fletcher View Campground, Humboldt-Toiyabe NF in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Close sites, some long term tenants, not a whole lot of ambiance but hey, they want you in Sam's Town gambling. Sam's Town has it all!!! The RV Park is above average. Couldn't get cable TV hook-up to work though. Pool and hot tub area is dated. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Lake Mead Recreational Area - Willow Beach, Lake Mead Recreational Area, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Awesome clean and quite campground four miles from AZ Highway 93. Stayed a couple of nights. Great for boaters, fishing, hiking and sightseeing. Water is frickin cold though coming right out of Hoover Dam. Went to the self guided free tour at the fish hatchery. 40' RV site was pricey at $50 per night. We camped at Lake Mead Recreational Area - Willow Beach in a Motorhome.

RedRock RV Park, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

The park is beautiful. Pastures surrounding 3 sides Mountain on 1 side and it's quiet. Not worth the money. Unless you fish or ride quads not much to do. W. Yellowstone is 23 miles to entrance and another 10 to Old Faithful but then that is only a day trip. If you want to see other areas of Yellowstone it is another day trip and much farther. Laundry room is small barely get two of you in at a time and expensive at $3.00 to wash and a quarter for 7 mins but it takes 5 minutes to heat up so it cost $2.00 a load. Even with the good Sam rate we paid $51.00 a night for no yard or fire pit. Barely fit a picnic table. $55.00 a night for a larger yard with picnic table and fire pit. Only monthly rate break not weekly and we were there for two weeks because we were with friends. Won't go back though. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trinity River Resort and RV Park., Lewiston, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great place. New owners fixing up the place very nice. On the Trinity River which I watch roll by every morning with my coffee. Water is way too cold for swimming but there are 3 lakes and another river near by. Great fishing in the rivers though. Also the lakes but because the rivers are ice cold you get Salmon and Rainbows. Cool historic towns and a winery. We camped at Trinity River Resort and RV Park. in a Motorhome.

Lake Cove Resort and Marina, Lake Almanor, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Tight spaces, restrooms needed cleaning, showers needed new shower curtains, laundry not enough machines for the amount of people. They advertise WiFi but you can only access it at the office and it is spotty. Groups of kids hang out there trying to use their phones. If you needed to do business or want to research the area for activities, restaurants, and such it's best if you do that before your arrival. There is a train track behind the park and two trains run through there in the wee hours of the morning. It is close to Lassen Volcanic National Park and Indian Falls swimming area. The park is split by the hwy with a section on Lake Almanor and an upper and lower section across the hwy. The lake is not only great for boaters. It allows jet skis and wave runners. It also has swimming beaches. They charge an extra $10 for the holiday even though their festivities we're on the weekend and we didn't get there until Monday the 3rd of July. We camped at Lake Cove Resort and Marina in a Motorhome.

Carson Valley RV Resort, Minden, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park. Green grass, shade and picnic tables. Close spaces. Laundry facilities are good. For a dollar the driers run 60 mins. Washers are $1:50 for 28 mins. Don't leave anything on grass you don't want wet. They water at 1 a.m. every day and they cut the grass on Weds and/0r Thurs. Once a month on a Sunday (call for schedule) there is a ladies Texas Hold'em tournament. $40 buy in. Food satisfactory but don't recommend the scramble eggs they are powdered and the biscuits are dry and crumbly. Also if you can try to get a space in back (you can ask but they don't guarantee it) the spaces up front are noisy. They are next to the main parking and semis park there over night. If your a light sleeper you'll hear them pulling in late and leaving early. And you'll hear their refrigeration. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

East Zion Riverside RV Park, Mount Carmel, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this site. 11 sites on the East Fork of the Virgin River. $115.00 for a week. Part of the Best Western across the street. Use of pool and jacuzzi. A 9 hole executive golf course, $5.00 with a cart. Good food at their restaurant. I don't recommend the one across the street from the Best Western and next to the RV sites. Not part of the Best Western. Could use some tender loving care and needed picnic tables but overall great value. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.
