This park is in a great location and hiking is excellent. The campground is clean and sites are spacious. The electric sites are fairly open and closer to each other. The non-electric sites in the older loop have gravel campsites that are somewhat more private vs. the paved ones with electric. Cell service is spotty as well as TV but most campsites probably have clear line of site for satellite. We camped at Stone Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.
Park is convenient to Yadkin Valley Wine country and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I hate to say it but avoid the park in the fall (Late Sept to mid-late October) unless you like stink bugs. They literally coat the sunny side of your trailer and get into everything including your trailer and you will still be dealing with them months later and the following spring. They were so bad that I saw another trailer in the electric loop using a leaf blower to clear the side of the trailer of the bugs.
