Willow Tree Resort and Campground, Longs, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second visit. All sites are really nicely laid out and you do have room to roam. The lack of cable, as mentioned, was only a frustration at the onset as we enjoyed having no television. The store / staff / game room / lake / closing at 5:00 PM was a bit of a surprise. The addition of "The Summit" in the lake was nice. The staff works very hard and we did have to wait a bit when there but we were treated very well. The 'yard staff' works their collective butts off to keep up and may be understaffed. Our trip is 680 miles so going with the trailer is a bit much. We did put on 350 miles driving back and forth to beach/attractions/etc... We probably would stay here again. We camped at Willow Tree Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground, Sandusky, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

The newer area of Lighthouse Point has a new bath house and it was in great shape. Parking on the cement pad was a breeze and worked out great for the two nights we were there. The 'camper village' one was cleaner this year than last. I had the same "SLOW" check-in procedure and lost valuable "line waiting" time in the park. If my family does this again, I will arrive early in the morning, register and park the rig in the lot until check-in time. The extra cost for 'tickets' was a waste. We entered an hour early and nothing was running with the start up maintenance just getting under way. I would do it again but plan differently! We camped at Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Flatwoods KOA, Sutton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice for a quick stopover. Beautiful new shower/bathroom area. Nice amphitheatre with music entertainment. Site was easy to get to and fairly level. Because it's on a hillside it's not 'perfect' but not bad either. We were just doing a sleep stop on our way home. Days Inn connection is a nice touch. We camped at Flatwoods KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent in almost every way. Everyone is greeted and escorted to their sight. Electric Box was even 'whisked' off when opened to clean out any old cob webs or dirt and dust. Friendly and remote with spacious areas to park and enjoy. We plan on going again. We camped at Willow Tree Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Cove Beach Resort, Charleroi, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very friendly. One of the staff or owners came to visit the evening before we departed. Level and easy access sites but a bit awkward negotiating around the small trees. They will provide shade in the future I presume! Nice people and secure to enter and exit. Pool is nice and big. 2 toilet and 2 showers were very clean and kept up. Staff did drive through late nights to check on things. We would come here again. Pets are ok and many campers had them. We camped at Pine Cove Beach Resort in a Travel Trailer.
