We enjoyed this park. This park is a side road park across from the Best Western. You make the reservations with BW. PROs: 1. Just outside of east entrance of Zion - which provides you great views of sheep and deer on your way in. 2. There are 11 sites. 2 sites are permanent residents - leaving 9 available. One has 50 amp (Site #9), all others are 30 amp. The great thing about this park is that it is just down the road from the East entrance of Zion. The park is all back in and 9 of the 11 sites will handle big rigs (over 40'). 3. You back up against a river which is down below several feet, so no chance of flooding. Behind the RVs there is a 5 ft green grass which was great for dogs. 4. Since there are no amenities at this park, you can go across the street to the Best Western and use the pool and spa. Plus you can use the golf course. 5. Staff at the Best Western was very nice and funny so that was a great check in. CONS 1. If you need a 50 amp and site 9 is taken you will have to use 30 amp slots. 2. No amenities but you can go across to Best Western and use their bathrooms, pool and golf course. 3. Sites are first come, first serve so there are no reservations for any specific site. Overall, we would come back to this park. Very quiet and accessible to Zion. Made our trips fun and we got to go through the Mile Long tunnel to get to the Visitor's Center. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.
This is on the east entrance of Zion. You get to the Visitor's center in less than 30 minutes after going through the Mile Long Tunnel. We checked in on Saturday and there were 4 sites open but on Sunday they all filled up. Might want to make plans for a Thursday or Saturday checkin if you want Slot #9 for 50amp.

We stayed at Hart Ranch Camping Resort to visit Mount Rushmore, Badlands, Crazy Horse and other areas. This resort was part of the RPI system. First, they do not give you $10/night RPI rate, but do give you a substantial discount, to $18/night. The welcoming staff was very nice and had a great sense of humor. The park is very well laid out and there is grass and plenty of space between and behind all sites. There are also trash cans at every other site so trash is very convenient. This park is great for dogs due to the grass but also because there is a small and a very large dog park. There are restrictions of where you are allowed to bring the dogs but it is very well laid out. They give you a map and anything marked in yellow means no dogs plus there are signs. This is to respect other park attendees/permanent residents who don't want dogs in their area. The no dog space is to the right and is not inconvenient at all. There is also a 1.5+ mile walking path that takes you all around. Only wish is that they would have a separate adult pool. With the many children, it is hard to be at the pool without a lot of noise. We definitely will return however. We camped at Hart Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
Be prepared to walk to the main lobby. The park is very large so it may take you some time to walk there. There are golf carts available for rental.

This park is beautiful with the lakes and the chance to park near the lake. Some sites are right by the lake. The park is generally empty so you can pick a spot where you are comfortable. This is not a 5 star RV park so don't know why so many complains. The road are gravel and do need some updates but for the price it was satisfactory. Saw many fishing in the lakes. It is a quick trip to KC and you can see the National WWI Memorial and Museum as well as President Truman's Library. Will return. We camped at Lake Paradise Resort in a Motorhome.
