Thousand Trails - Birch Bay, Blaine, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best Thousand Trails we have stayed at certainty the best in the state of Washington. Unlike most Thousand Trails we have been to this one actually had gravel on the roads which helped cut down the dust considerably. We parked in phase 2 in a very large back in site that was also very level parked on gravel instead of dirt or mud and had a large grass area on each side. Unfortunately only 30 amp was available but fortunately the outside temperature was mild when were were there so that didn't become a problem and we also had sewer. We camped at Thousand Trails - Birch Bay in a Motorhome.

Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA, Concrete, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Thousand Trails and KOA not a winning combo, we have been to 9 Thousand Trails parks this summer before stopping here all the other parks had extended the check in hours for the summer. This park would not let us check in till noon, we had to wait in the overflow area. I have had reservations for over a month but of course Thousand Trails won't reserve a site suitable for my rv. They make us all gather in the overflow area until noon and then we all race our rvs to the nearest site, I think that is a bad idea. One of them left early with his 30 amp travel trailer and beat me to the 50 amp site I had my eye on so I had to settle for a 30 amp site. Across the gravel road from me was 2 tents parked in a 50 amp site. At least they have gravel on the streets in this park which cuts down on the dust we have seen in most of the Thousand Trails parks we have been to this summer. They are understaffed no one at the gate so I had to use the call box and wait to check in and. The park was full over the weekend and the restrooms while very nice were too dirty to use. Our under powered site had plenty of space to put the slides out. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Paradise Resort, Silver Creek, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

They call it Paradise, I don't know why. We pulled into 3 sites before we found one we that the power worked in and we could get level. Apparently this campground has water and power issues. Most sites are on a sidehill and getting level can be a challenge on some of them. This is another Thousand dusty Trails campground that was apparently built back when most RVs were less than 25 feet long so getting around can be a challenge. There are a few longer longer PT sites if get there earlier in the week before they get too full. The laundry room appeared to be front loader washers from the window but the laundry was closed the entire time we were there, apparently water problems but they did manage to have 3 swimming pools and a spa open. If you wanted any sporting equipment you needed to check it out at the county store "due to misuse and vandalism" but we were unable as the county store was closed half the time we were at the park. We camped at Thousand Trails - Paradise Resort in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - La Conner, La Conner, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the better Thousand Dusty Trails campgrounds we have stay in. Less than 10 percent of the sites have sewer and most of those are chained off as personal sites so your chances are slim of having FHU at this campground and there is no 50 amp. This is not a bad campground for a couple of days, the location is great, there are many things to explore outside the campground. We were lucky to get a perfectly level site, no sewer of course and the site was shaded enough so using only one of our AC units on 30 amp work this time. They have recently stared putting gravel down on some of the sites (including the one we stayed), hopefully they will continue that and also put gravel on the dirt roads also to cut down on the dust in the air. The washer and dryers were to dirty to use so we had to wait on washing clothes until we pulled into the next campground. We love this area and plan to spend more time in the area in the future if Thousand Dusty Trails did something to control the dust problem and had more sewer sites available we would come back to La Conner. If they don't we would come back for a couple days but more likely will stay at a different nearby RV park for a longer period of time. We camped at Thousand Trails - La Conner in a Motorhome.

Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails , Chehalis, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017
Overall Rating:

If I was staying in a tent for a couple days or a pickup camper I may rate this "RV" park differently. If you have a big rig you may want to find somewhere else. The dirt hiking trails/roads were narrow and many tree branches hung down as low as 7' on one of the "roads", many of the sites had low hanging branches to dodge as well. The staff, except for one was very friendly and helpful. I didn't see a level site, we were unable to get level, but if we had a pickup camper I believe we could have by driving the front onto a 4 inch block. Of the only a dozen sites I saw with sewer most were chained off as "personal site". We were there over a weekend so there were a lot of people there for a couple of the days making the air quality in the campground worst than I remember in Los Angeles because of all the dirt from the dirt trails (roads) and the smoke from all the fire pits. The mini golf was closed there was no equipment available for the pickle ball, tennis courts. We camped at Chehalis RV & Camping Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Elma RV Park, Elma, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was excellent, even gave us a bag of homemade cookies upon arrival. Most of the sites seemed a little small for a big rig with sides. We paid extra for a pull through so we a very long site. The park was well maintained except for the gravel/dirt roads were very dusty even with the "strictly enforced" 5mph speed limit. Laundry and restrooms were clean, I didn't use the showers but noticed if you want to use the showers be sure and bring lots of Quarters. We camped at Elma RV Park in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 2 days and never again the sites are too small roads are narrow especially when permanent campers park their second cars partially in the road making it challenging to navigate a 36 foot class A and tow car. The restrooms were old and dirty both days. We camped at Thousand Trails Nevada in a Motorhome.

South Jetty RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails), Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This "RV" park is the worst were have ever stayed at. The staff was not very helpful. It was raining much of the time we were there so the dirt roads and dirt sites were very muddy. I am glad it was raining so we didn't have to sit in clouds of dust from the dirt roads. We were supposed to have 30 amp service we prefer for our 50 amp RV but half of the time we stayed there we had NO power. We camped at South Jetty RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Seaside Resort, Thousand Trails , Seaside, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far the best Thousand Trails resort we have been in so far. They actually have amenities: clubhouse, pool, etc. Everything was clean and well maintained our site. Our site was level and spacious. This park should be the model for Thousand Trails to use to make improvements to all the rest of their parks.

The only things that concerned me was the number of chained off sites (many were vacant) that were personal sites. We drove past no fewer than 12 sites that were vacant but chained off before we found one we could park at. The other thing that I was disappointed with is just before we checked out they installed a "speed curb" I had to climb over with the RV. I personally hadn't noticed a speed problem and before this, found the roads well maintained and easy to maneuver. We camped at Seaside Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails-Long Beach/NACO, Seaview, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is the first park I have seen hook ups like this. If you park in an odd numbered site, you will need to run water and sewer hoses under your rv to the right rear corner to hook up. Two sites share an electric so if the rv next to you got the 50 amp first, you will have no choice but to use 30 amp. The park is short on amenities but there are many things to see on the Long Beach peninsula.

Next time I will stay somewhere else, these sites are way too small and with the first come first served sites, I am not willing to gamble having to settle for 30 amp or using 30 foot sewer hose. We camped at Thousand Trails-Long Beach/NACO in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Pacific City, Cloverdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We managed to get full hook ups at this first come, first served park. We bounced over 12 "speed curbs" to get here and fortunately our rv was still in one piece. The deferred maintenance at this park has been deferred way too long. It appears the only money they put into the park is for "speed curbs." The gravel/dirt roads have so many pot holes in them I don't know why they thought they needed to add "speed curbs."

Our dirt site was pretty level and spacious. My hotspot couldn't get a signal in the park and the park's wifi was as slow as dial up, so I had to go into town to get internet and cell signal. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Whalers Rest RV Park, South Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Like many of the sites, the site we parked the rv on, was a concrete pad and nice and level. Most sites are very spacious, the restrooms were clean. Cell signal is a problem: I had none. Most people I talked to had none. I know of one person with Verizon that said she could get a signal, in a common area, up on a hill, in the section north of the road. We camped at Thousand Trails - Whalers Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This park has only 3 sites with 50 amp and only about 10 with sewer and those are all 30 amp we stayed in a sit with sewer the site we stayed in was barely big enough to park our 36 foot class A into there are sites in the back section of the park that appeared more spacious but none had sewer the road barely in front of our rv was gravel or mostly dirt and dusty as about 80 other rv's had to stop there to dump.
