Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

This park is well worth the rather steep daily site rental. Lots to do, superior showers/toilets rooms, manicured sites - everything was great. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the time to visit Bathhouse row and spend the time to do the tour - very interesting. Don't miss the Quapaw Spa! Also, Rolando's restaurant in downtown Hot Springs was very good. Hot Springs is a wonderful place to visit. After 4 weeks on the road, this park was wonderful - peaceful, secluded, beautiful ......

Montgomery Bell State Park, Burns, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We were really impressed by the beauty of the park - just awesome. The sites were nice, although the picnic tables could use a little TLC. The restroom/shower facilities do not have AC, so there was evidence of mold/mildew and both the shower and toilet facilities were not up to current standards. We were only able to stay one night. We would like to return and be able to really explore the park. Good spot to come in the spring or fall. We camped at Montgomery Bell State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a premium pull-thru. Spacing was a little close, but had a concrete patio pad and very nice picnic table and chairs. Pull-thrus don't have fire rings but was OK for us. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Frankenmuth Jellystone Park, Frankenmuth, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Park was clean and neat - although showed some touches of age (some of the concrete site pads were cracked and broken up). We had to do some jockeying to get our rig far enough away from the large tree on site in order to open our main driver slide. We camped at Frankenmuth Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bronner's Christmas store is right across the street. Downtown Frankenmuth was very short drive. Quite convenient.

Aune-Osborn Campground, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We checked in the afternoon following a major rain event - the entire campground had large areas of standing water. Our initial site was unusable, so the manager gave us a one nighter to get us on dry ground. We then stayed out our time in site #45. Close to the office and decent wi-fi. The park needs some real grading work to eliminate the water drainage issues. The electrical posts in many cases are in standing water following a heavy rain. The 30 amp breaker on site 45 will not provide full 30 amp - more like 20-25 and then trips under load. Water pressure is very good and dump station is well designed with stations for entry and exit. We will stay again - not many choices, so best of the bunch. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
