Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Good park for price. This is a transient park (one nighters) with some permanent construction workers. The permanent sites are kept nice. Adult hot tub is very nice. Sites are level. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this park! The manager goes above and beyond to make you and your pets welcome. He even rides around each morning to say hello and offer up treats for the furry ones. The pool and hot tub are resort quality! Our only inconvenience was the pool gate keys don't work. They are aware and working on a solution. The premium back in grass sites are the nicest if you don't mind unhooking your toad. They have two nice sized dogs parks. It is very windy so do not leave your awning unattended. Micro burst happen in split seconds there. We saw 4 awnings break during our three week stay. One more word of advice, don't send USPS package there, only use UPS or FED EX. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Monday and Tuesday have two for one buffet at the casino and the food quality is good. Skip the Laguna Burger it's not impressive. The Petroglyph National Monument is very cool. Town is far away so be prepared food and drink wise.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park has the potential to be great. The walking trail is nice and the skies are beautiful. We booked for a month so was told we couldn't book a pull thru site. We left after 6 nights. They change the rate on us 3 times from the time of booking "$750" to the time we arrived "$1100". At check in they told us our site was no longer available for a monthly rate. We called 3 times to let them know we had purchased a new RV and was now 45ft. When we arrived, they had never updated the system to reflect the change therefore, we were basically hanging in the road. We went to the office after surveying the site and asked for a pull thru since we only paid for one week. They checked their system and said they were booked during our stay. The property is not maintained, there are goat heads and sandburs everywhere. The dogs got them in their paws and carried them in the RV to the point that we put booties on them each time they went out. There is a dog park but it's not close to most sites and it wasn't always clean. If you book make sure you are in a pull thru site as they are the nicest and if you have dogs beware of the weeds. We were very disappointed since we had meet others on our travels who raved about this park. We wouldn't only stay here again for an over night stop. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.
