When I tried to find a site in Myrtle Beach all of the campgrounds were full except Briarcliff, now I know why. The facility was very old and worn down and when my wife came back from the Rec. Hall, She said it felt like a nursing home. Additionally, my kids wouldn't walk anywhere because of all the ants. The Staff was very unfriendly and did not make us feel welcome. My credit cards were stolen a week before we left so the card I used for the deposit was canceled and I had to change cards. The woman who checked me in said 3 times "So the card you used for the reservation was no good?" acting like I was trying to pull something. On check-out day, we pulled out and I stopped in the office at which point they charged me for an extra night because it was past 12:00. The park was 3/4's empty! I didn't know what time check out was and we were past the 12:00 deadline, but I have NEVER been charged for that in any other campground- particularly when it was close to empty! They also charged my credit card $10 because I didn't turn in a key card after I got in a fight with them over the extra night. They got an extra $57 out of me, but now I know why the park has space when every one else is booked solid. The reputation they have on the RV boards is awful and now I know why, we certainly will never stay there again.

Although small, the people here were very friendly and made us feel at home. They were very accommodating and let us move to a larger site. Some of the sites share hook ups so the campers share common areas which is ok for an overnight stay, but not great if you are going to stay for a few days. They have plenty of other sites to move to if you request it.

Very nice park with large private sites. Not much to do but relax and enjoy the outdoors which is a nice change of pace sometimes.
