Silver Spur RV Park, Silverton, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great location and the park staff are super friendly and helpful. It's close to town (even to walk) and any store/restaurant/gas etc. you could need. Downtown Silverton is nice and has a quaint few blocks of history, as well as good post office, library and small park. The Silver Spur itself is well maintained, nice lodge, laundry, pool etc. However, the dusty rock/gravel is a HUGE downfall~! There is very little grass for dogs or people and the dust makes feet/shoes/paws dirty all the time, as well as the dust that kicks up every time a car drives through settles all over your site, cars, trailer, picnic tables etc. and not even great to have the windows open. This is super inconvenient for dog walking or getting exercise. Also had to take our car in after hearing a loud noise near rear wheel - turned out a rock had gotten stuck up there ($150). The other drawback is if you are near the main road (213), which we were, you will hear constant traffic - to the point where you have to close your windows most of the time (with early wake ups.....). We camped at Silver Spur RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Jersey Shore Haven Airstream Park, Cape May Court House, New Jersey

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights - clean restrooms/showers and hookups worked well. The wifi is weak, especially in the evening. The majority of people here seem to stay for the entire season. It was interesting to see the variety of Airstreams while walking around, but they are very close and we could not open our windows due to our neighbors sitting outside smoking and listening to football games on an outdoor tv. The location is convenient to touring the area. We camped at Jersey Shore Haven Airstream Park in a Travel Trailer.

Blue Mountain Campground, Saugerties, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We would not recommend this campground. The spaces are very close with hardly any room to park or have any privacy at all. Most of the sites seemed to be longer term, but we were only there for the weekend. Dogs barked frequently, one was even howling. Facilities are drab and there is nowhere pleasant to relax or hang out outside. The employees/longer term campers (?) had a circle of chairs where they sat and talked, but it felt like they did not want to interact with anyone else. The price is ridiculously high for the quality of the campground and lack of amenities and upkeep. We camped at Blue Mountain Campground in a Travel Trailer.
